When I called to transfer my membership, they literally wouldn't work with me to transfer what I am paying (as I happened to get a discount at my current Orange Theory because I promoted them and gave them referral business). They say they are a "higher" tier than my current location but the pricing is literally the same with unlimited so it makes absolutely no sense. I get that it's a franchise (which I hate) but literally feels like I am working with an entirely different business rather than an overall organization working together and felt like this location is extremely slimy. Based on my interaction, I would definitely not recommend.

I have been seeing Candice for one-on-one trainings and group workouts (with both Candice and JR) for four months now, and I'm so thankful to be here. Rosefit is not your typical personal training outfit. This is not a HIIT gym. There is no built-in competition (though we do like to rib each other). You will not be encouraged to do reps as fast as possible; instead, proper form and how the movement feels for your body is most important. Candice and JR highly value making workouts accessible and (dare I say) fun. They are both quick with modifications if necessary, and have a million different ways to work with or around an injury or any discomfort. Rosefit is appropriate for any age and any physical ability. You will find no deadlifts here, because they aren't necessary. Fascial release and stretching are built into the workouts and trainings. I will also add that this is a friendly and safe space for gender non-conforming individuals - do note, however, that the building's bathrooms are needlessly gendered. (I have started to petition Candice to harass the building owners into changing this.)

As someone who has spent their life avoiding physical activity but am now entering a certain age…read morebracket, I made the decision to get serious about learning how to work out. I've made attempts in the past of awkwardly shuffling around 24-Hour Fitness trying to mimic what I saw in YouTube videos, but ultimately never felt like I understood how to actually lift weights and get any results. Hence, I joined Fitness Together with the goal of learning how to properly and safely lift weights. And I have to say that all the trainers at this location were fantastic. They listened to my goals, created a plan, kept me accountable, and answered by constant questions. In ~14 months of once-per-week sessions, I went from barely knowing what a barbell was to deadlifting and squatting with ease. As of today I have dropped ~1-2% body fat and gained ~8lbs of lean mass since I first started. Not bad! It is pricey, yes. But for me, I feel it was worth it as a way to learn the correct form and habits that I can use in the future. I always felt welcome and encouraged at this location, so I heartily recommend it if you want some help in getting fit but find it difficult to get started.

With the vague goal of "getting in shape"; I have had great results at Fitness Together. I now have better balance, can stoop, bend and lift things I forgot I was once able to do. Watching what I ate I steadily dropped 20 pounds. The exercise was the key. I am glad the trainers at FT know what they are doing. It has worked for me. The exercises always vary and don't rely on machines so I can add my own workouts. After a hard workout I am never sore for more than one day. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I just show up. Charlie and Brad are always enthusiastic - even on days when I'm not. There is never more than one other client working out at a time and it is very clean with good changing rooms. Yes, it is costly, but how much have I paid in car maintenance over a lifetime? I am now backpacking in Europe and not sightseeing from a bus - thank goodness. Fitness Together is a great place to jump-start your workout routine.

Even though I have recently started to try out other instructor's classes this last month, I have primarily gone to Priscilla's classes this whole year and she is the reason why I fell in love with Pilates. The way she instructs all classes are so informative and you can tell she has years of experience under her belt. I have never been one to stick to a workout routine but now, I can't wait until I can come back for my next class! During the time I normally go in, Lauren is at the front desk and she is awesome too! Super nice and welcoming, greeting each person by name as they walk in and setting the tone for a great workout. Only note is that it is street parking so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. If you need a sign to take an intro class, this is your sign!

I don't usually write reviews, but this needs to be said. The actual gym at LA Fitness is perfectly…read morefine, the equipment works, staff is decent, nothing really stands out either way. That's not the issue. The problem is the parking lot, specifically the alley section. There's an ongoing homeless encampment that seems to have been there for a while, and it's gotten to the point where it actively affects members. I've been approached multiple times just trying to get in or out of my car, people asking for money, yelling, or just lingering way too close for comfort. It doesn't feel safe, especially if you're there early in the morning or later at night. It's one thing to be aware that this is a broader issue in the area, but it's another when it's happening directly in the gym's parking spaces where members are supposed to feel secure. There doesn't seem to be any effort to address it or even acknowledge it, which is frustrating considering people are paying to use this facility. Again, the gym itself is fine, but dealing with harassment just to park and walk inside isn't something anyone should have to put up with. Until that situation is handled, it's hard to recommend this location.

I used to belong to Orange Theory, CrossFit, and general gyms and I have not enjoyed my workouts like I have at HIIT Lab in over 10 years. J/K. If you want a workout where you sweat each time and leave feeling positive about everything, this is your place. I attend Monday evening water aerobics class and I always enjoy it! My personal trainer is Jason. He is phenomenal and really cares about his clients. I highly recommend either him or Zac S. if you are looking for a good personal trainer. The facilities are a mix of older equipment and newer equipment, but they do keep the areas clean. The building is a bit older, but it doesn't bother me. They also offer cryotherapy and massage. I will say that parking is a real pain. It can be so challenging finding parking, especially on weekday evenings. A massive headache! I wish they would address this and find solutions. It is a bit more expensive than some other gyms in the area, but you get a large selection of classes and services that you may not get at other area gyms. Otherwise, I highly recommend WSHC for your fitness needs. It's a great gym! Chauna and the entire management team are great and very responsive.

Just to give you a heads up, I go to the gym from the 9am-12pm time range on the weekdays so I'm not there during the peak time. Pros: 1. The childcare! They are phenomenal! I use the infant care and the 3-5 year old child care. The children are always having a great time. The teachers plan fun activities for the day, like a preschool would with crafts. If an infant is upset, they are hugging and consoling the infant. I have NEVER seen a baby crying by himself. I have never picked up my son with a dirty diaper! My shy boy LOVES coming here! My wild daughter, loves the slide area and the crafts. 2. New equipment: I love the new renovation. It's bright and airy. I can always get on a machine. Almost all machines have a TV. The only complaint is that there has been some tech trouble lately. 3. Warm Greeting from Staff: Major props to Eugene! He always smiles and remembers all of our names during check in! I always get a locker in a good area too. 4. Free Infant Swim Classes! 5. Discount on camps for kids. If you're a member, you get discounts on all camps and programs for your kids. 6. Price: For our family of 5, we pay about $110. That's 2 hours of morning care and 2 hours of afternoon care for all of our kids. If you're not going to go regularly, it's probably too expensive, but for a large family, it's a good price. Also, take advantage of the enrollment fee waiver in January, March, June, and October. If you're low income, they have discounted rates as well. 7. Free 7 Day Pass: This is not a consecutive day pass. This is any 7 days within a 3 month period. This also includes childcare!!! Also, no one pressures you to join. There are also no hidden fees. Cons: 1. Lack of parking and extremely small parking spaces. I don't even bother with the parking lot since my Acura SUV barely fits, and I can't get they baby out of the car seat with my door open. Street parking is a strict 2 hours and they often ticket you if you're longer. 2. Stretch Room: Way too small! Cycle studio people are always brushing by you on their way to class. I've asked for the small workout rooms to be open, but they keep saying no. 3. Group Class Music: I'd love some group classes that are geared towards a younger crowd with some hip music. Seriously, this would make the gym perfect! All of the instructors are really nice, but I kind of feel like I'm part of an 80's workout video. Also, some classes geared towards new moms would be fantastic! There are a lot of us there!

We had to wait a couple of hours for a tour and they kept pushing us to the side to check in people. I understand checking in members is important but it's not difficult to scan an ID or ask us to step aside for a second. We finally were able to view the gym and it's beautiful, well-maintained, and clean. There seems to be a lot of classes open and the swimming pool is great. We're still thinking about being members. As a large family, it's quite the financial commitment and the front desk is the first interaction with a place. It wasn't a great impression.
