This is what we have had since 2011

We purchased one of their 18' x 18' pasture shelter kits in 2011 and constructed ourselves. The kit was very easy to put together, top quality materials and everything we needed was included. Last week we decided to purchased some more posts and the channels to make it into a goat shed. Rod and Becky were super responsive and it was 10 days from first phone call to a completed shed. They helped us with designing it, quick on delivery and happy to give me some construction tips from their years of installing these. Their system is pretty simple for a non builder like me and is going to be around for a long time.

Rodney and his crew were great! Installation went so well and the end product was better than I expected. Thanks so much!

We have been trying to get this company to build an ADU for us inn Paso Robles probably 2+ years…read morenow. We have had at least 2-3 project managers who always end up dropping the ball or leaving the company... wonder why!? We have tried coordinating with the grader ourselves but we are busy people who do not live here full time and this is really not our job to do so. We have coordinated with the soil testing. We have also contacted the city regarding permits. I honestly do not know what Ulrich has done. All in all we are severely disappointed with the service from Ulrich to get this project even STARTED. It really has been ridiculous.

We paid online with a credit card and had our truck and forklift on the way to pick the shed up. After about 15 minutes the manager called and said he needed us to wait till Tuesday to pick up. He accused us of potentially committing fraud by cancelling the credit card transaction. We then offered to bring cash. He said that would work but we would still have to wait until Monday so he could deposit the cash and make sure it wasn't counterfeit. We had a signed contract, they had our CC info, and would've had cash. Do not recommend. Highly unprofessional and terrible service. Total Shed Show in Santa Maria was closed but the manager came out and sold us a shed for cash later that same afternoon. We were able to deliver it ourselves in less time than it took for us to attempt a purchase at Ulrich.

They answered every question I could possibly throw at them with county regulations etc etc. Wish I had that kinda help when I approached the county for ideas on property I purchased (all I received is what I couldn't build on my property). Thanks again Andrea and Javier for taking the time to walk me through what I couldn't do, but also had a solution to my issues and being very transparent!! High five to the private sector lol

He was very helpful, empathetic, and resourceful in solving the issues we had. On the construction side of things, Zack is unreliable and slow to respond to issues. There were so many problems I don't know where to begin. When we purchased this shed, we paid for the additional 1 foot taller walls. We also paid a huge fee to have outward swinging double French doors instead of the standard doors. We had to wait two months to have the special ordered outward swinging French doors delivered through Home Depot. Ulrich Barns took care of all of the ordering. The day before they were to build the shed, I called and spoke to Zach (the construction manager) to make sure the special ordered doors had arrived. He told me they had been delivered to Ulrich's warehouse. On the day of the build, when the crew started installing the doors, I noticed they were inward swinging. After several phone calls, I found out Zack used the wrong terminology to order the doors. Another set of doors had to be ordered. 2 1/2 weeks later when the crew came back to install the new doors, I found out they were again the wrong doors!! Finally on the third attempt the correct doors were ordered. Once the crew was done building the loft inside the shed, I saw that it looked unusually small compared to what I had expected the space in the loft to look like. I measured the height of walls of the shed and found out the crew built them 1 foot shorter than they were supposed to be built. "Ulrich Barns" had to send a crew out to tear down the existing shed and rebuild the correct one. Originally, Zack told me he would refund my $1100 for the special order doors. However, when push came to shove, he told me he was only authorized to refund $400 if I kept the "correct" outward swinging French doors or he would refund the full $1100 if I kept the incorrect doors. Finally, after everything was said and done, the shed was finally built correctly (three months after it was supposed to have been built). I had insulation and drywall added. I had painters paint the inside. Then after turning my sprinklers back on the attached pictures of water damage is what I find the next morning! I texted these pictures to Zack and asked him why there was water inside the shed. He said the sprinklers are not supposed to hit directly onto the shed however a downpour of rain would not leak into the shed. What the hell type of logic is that? Anyways, as you can tell by all of these issues, I am not happy. If it was in the contract, I would have them come take this shed out of my backyard and refund my original purchase price. Buyer beware with this company! Next time I'm going back to Tuff shed.

I had gotten quotes from some local builders for a ground up garage that were so expensive. Then, I started to look into a prefab garage and found Dry Creek and they were willing to make the trek from the Central Valley up to San Jose to build for me. Their pricing was a fraction of what a ground-up building would have cost. Short explanation: The garage came out great, despite an insanely long design and permitting process. I love the garage and it looks incredible. The builders were fantastic. Longer explanation: The sales and design process was pretty smooth. I was able to get a quote quickly from Will and a preliminary design done. I ran into some hiccups getting my permit through the city of SJ. The main issue here was that any changes that I needed Dry Creek to make required a long turnaround time, since I had to explain the changes and then Dry Creek had to re-draw and snail mail the new drawings to me. The city of San Jose was slow to respond to my changes that I turned in, so any changes that I need to submit took about three weeks. This happened several times, so every change was an additional three weeks. Another hiccup was that I had asked Dry Creek to pour the foundation for me, as a line item in my sales agreement. When the time came to begin this, Dry Creek was unable to find a local contractor to pour the foundation. It was put on me to find a local concrete contractor to do this. I got three quotes for a foundation, two of which were astronomically higher than what Dry Creek had quoted me. Luckily, my third quote was a decent price and I was able to get my foundation poured. Once the foundation was sorted out, then Dry Creek sent their traveling crew to build the garage. These guys were AWESOME. They arrived in a truck with my disassembled garage on the grailer and they assembled it quickly! They framed out the garage in 3 days. I had to get an inspection after that. After the inspection was complete, the crew came back and completed the rest of the work in 3 more days. Zach at the office was great with communicating with me and providing updates throughout the whole build process. My garage just got signed off through the city of San Jose, so I am so happy to have my completed garage!

Throughout my build, I experienced four reschedules and two no shows which made scheduling the work needed inside that much more difficult for me. After the third reschedule I went ahead and started on the work inside (as per the builders reassurance that the work inside could be done) prior to the shed completion...big mistake on my part. I was under the impression the build would take one day and instead it took 10 days to completion. Needless to say the build experience is where I deducted stars but the shed itself, once completed was a relief and joy to have. Overall would I recommend this company, probably not which is a shame their product is mostly quality but the build experience was not.
