They answered every question I could possibly throw at them with county regulations etc etc. Wish I had that kinda help when I approached the county for ideas on property I purchased (all I received is what I couldn't build on my property). If I could give this company a 0.5 stars I would! Their only saving grace is James, the sales person on Rosedale Highway. He was very helpful, empathetic, and resourceful in solving the issues we had. On the construction side of things, Zack is unreliable and slow to respond to issues. There were so many problems I don't know where to begin. When we purchased this shed, we paid for the additional 1 foot taller walls. We also paid a huge fee to have outward swinging double French doors instead of the standard doors. We had to wait two months to have the special ordered outward swinging French doors delivered through Home Depot. Ulrich Barns took care of all of the ordering. The day before they were to build the shed, I called and spoke to Zach (the construction manager) to make sure the special ordered doors had arrived. He told me they had been delivered to Ulrich's warehouse. On the day of the build, when the crew started installing the doors, I noticed they were inward swinging. After several phone calls, I found out Zack used the wrong terminology to order the doors. Another set of doors had to be ordered. 2 1/2 weeks later when the crew came back to install the new doors, I found out they were again the wrong doors!! Finally on the third attempt the correct doors were ordered. Once the crew was done building the loft inside the shed, I saw that it looked unusually small compared to what I had expected the space in the loft to look like. I measured the height of walls of the shed and found out the crew built them 1 foot shorter than they were supposed to be built. "Ulrich Barns" had to send a crew out to tear down the existing shed and rebuild the correct one. Originally, Zack told me he would refund my $1100 for the special order doors. However, when push came to shove, he told me he was only authorized to refund $400 if I kept the "correct" outward swinging French doors or he would refund the full $1100 if I kept the incorrect doors. Finally, after everything was said and done, the shed was finally built correctly (three months after it was supposed to have been built). I had insulation and drywall added. I had painters paint the inside. Then after turning my sprinklers back on the attached pictures of water damage is what I find the next morning! I texted these pictures to Zack and asked him why there was water inside the shed. He said the sprinklers are not supposed to hit directly onto the shed however a downpour of rain would not leak into the shed. What the hell type of logic is that? Anyways, as you can tell by all of these issues, I am not happy. If it was in the contract, I would have them come take this shed out of my backyard and refund my original purchase price. I purchased a costumed made chicken coop from Ulrich in Bakersfield, Ca for over $4,000.00. The coop was delivered to my farm on Nov 11,2022 . The coop was made subpar to my specifications and not completed with appropriate shelves for hens to lay eggs. I'm really pissed off when I paid cash for a product which is incomplete and customer service is sleep walking in sending a technician out to complete installing the shelves for my hens. I was given a date this morning for next year 2023 when someone will be able to come to my farm an complete a job which only require 2 hours or less to install the correct shelves per specifications. I don't recommend paying cash up front to this company. I advise you to make sure when they deliver your product to not pay them in full until you make sure the shed etc. is completed otherwise you may need to seek legal advise. Shalom read more

This review is to myself 10 months ago. RUN AWAY! You are going to be strung along and promised the world but end up with nothing but a bad taste in your mouth. You will have to chase down answers and updates on your project. You will be promised time lines only to be completely let down. The last 10 months have been the biggest disappointment you can imagine and there isn't a single person there willing to take responsibility. In March of 2023 I was told they would handle everything from permitting to delivery in a 6 month time line. After 3 months my paperwork wasn't even submitted for permits. Every month I would request an update only to be put off or given very vague answers. In the 10 months I was waiting for my 19K 14x32 shed and hoping I had 4 different people over seeing my account, Michelle, Ashley, Javier and Andrea. When I finally had enough of being strung along because I had no permit and construction wasn't even scheduled to start I asked my options for canceling, all communication was abandoned from these 4 people. My emails were never answered my calls weren't returned and on the chance someone actually answered the phone it was in an office in another town. Not sure why no one here can do their job but save yourself the headache and take your money else where! Despite them refusing to do the job I hired them for they kept my $1000 deposit and ceased all contact. Do your research before wasting your time like me. read more

I ordered a custom 10x12 shed and had it built in July of this year. I was very happy with the interactions and the price. We had a miscommunication about the door but it was resolved quickly. They came from Bakersfield to my home in Modesto for the installation. It took them two trips to complete the install but it was no problem. Unfortunately they had to work in 100 degree heat but they got it done. It's now the center piece for our garden back yard. I highly recommend contracting with them. read more

We ordered a shed and it was assembled on site. The assembly was sloppy. Nails in random places that served no purpose sticking out in several places inside the shed. They work fast because it was going to rain very nice gentlemen's but their work was done in a hurry and not done right i was missing a part I call and they ask me for pictures and that they will order the part. the paint was bad because of the rain they left paint for me to do it but they roof you can see the nails coming out very bad so sad i paid a lot for this job that was so bad i hope they send someone to take care of it asap. When I called had to call several times, no luck yet. please before you order think about it 2x i want my money back and the play house out of my house read more

After walking around looking at the sheds my husband went in the office and asked the gentleman in the office if he had any information or prices on the sheds. He looked at my husband and said "No". They said trim color sent was wrong and someone would be out two days later to fix. Never heard from anyone. When I called had to call several times, first told will call back in 10 minutes. That did not occur so more calls made to try and get someone out. When they came said only touch up on paint after assembly needed. I showed them the random nails and they pulled them out. No apology, nothing. Would not recommend. They need to learn customer service. Taking my future business elsewhere read more

What we have is pretty to look at , but lots of miscommunication and extreme delays as well as issues with the build site and a barn that isn't as functional as something built a little over a year ago should be. I wasn't going to bother reviewing, but when doors don't work and sliders wont slide and roof pieces are warped - its just a little too much to sit on. Buyer beware. read more

update: after everything willard made sure we got we needed!!! he was so kind and made sure i had what i wanted and it's perfect!! he was able to have it here today!! he was extremely helpful after the problems we had. not a bad company at all just a bad employee! thank you willard so much!! if i could give zero stars i would. i am more than disappointed in this so called business. we went in on 7/30 put a down payment of 2000 dollars. everything was perfect. we were told the shed would be done by Tuesday of the next week (7/6). Monday the next week i call the guy because we never got a call and turns out they had written all of our numbers down wrong!!! (3 different numbers) he then preceded to tell me they hadn't even started on the shed because WE didn't call THEM after we left. he said i can have it done for you by the next week (7/12). i let it go and said okay thank you very much. So that date rolls around and he calls me and says "the shed is done BUT one of our workers broke a window and we have to order a new one." first of all should y'all have these windows, like ONE back up at least??? apparently not. he then told me the window guy does not come back to work until wednesday (7/14) and that they could have it done by Friday (7/16). i said okay that's fine. on friday he shows up to the house to tell us the window came BUT it was the WRONG WINDOW. he said "i promise i can have it here wednesday (7/21) or we can get your money back" we said okay fine but that's it. well GUESS WHAT wednesday comes and he tells us THE PERSON DELIVERING DROPPED IT ON THEIR WAY HERE?!?!? HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN. we are BEYOND angry that all these excuses were thrown at us and in the end we never got our shed. i will be getting my money back tmrw morning because of this!! i will also be speaking to this big boss because this unacceptable and very unprofessional. i understand one mistake being made but this many mistakes on ONE order is ridiculous i'm hoping people going through this company are aware of how they run thin read more

They did a good job. There's a few things I didn't like for example the roof has one lifted piece that the guy said would settle in a couple days but still hasn't. I also didn't like all the extra nails that were sticking out. They were trimmed out but I'm not sure it is normal to have all the excessive nails that were missed. Overall the barn looks great. The service was quick and delivered when it was supposed to. Cesar the builder finished the barn and made adjustments for me just how I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone looking to build a barn/storage room. The barns are well priced and much nicer than hiring a guy off the streets. read more
