We really liked the work they did installing a solid patio cover at the neighbors house and we were in the market for a patio cover ourselves so we decided to use Perfect Home Bakersfield. Their salesman, Alex, came out and quoted us for the patio cover and we placed the order. After the initial quote I called to make a few changes. I called multiple times asking to get an updated quote on the price and I was never given one. At one point, the receptionist knew I needed to talk with the manager, Manuel, about my question and she tried to transfer me to him three times, but he refused to speak with me. On the day of install the two-man crew showed up on time and completed the install in one day. Phew! In the hot Bakersfield summer we were so happy to have shade and the patio looks great! But they left a mess. They blew small bits of trash, nails, screws, and aluminum shavings into our lawn and flowerbeds. We have small children whom they met that morning. My kids like to go barefoot in the backyard and they couldn't! They also forgot to finish the install of the ceiling fans; the decorative cover that sits flush with the ceiling was left hanging on the fan motor. When I called to pay and finally find out the changes made to my estimate the numbers seemed off. After further discussion, I was told that the cost of the rain gutters had been left off the original estimate. I called the salesman and the front office at least 3 times each asking for more information on my quote and I was given the runaround every time I called. They all just passed the buck to the manager who refused to speak with me. It wasn't until my patio was installed that they finally spoke with me about the price again and raised it by $600! They were the lowest price in town for a patio cover, but I was quite disappointed in their service. Buyer beware.

The etch-a-sketch software they use to design our master bathroom does not calculate the drywall, plaster and tile which matters when every inch counts. "We won't start the job until all material is received". 8 days later, "we got a huge job elsewhere so we're going to start on your bathroom now and continue as material comes in." Taking time off work to accommodate their schedule was a pain. The crew that did the demo and new installation installed the Shower faucet that leaked causing water to fill between the walls on the first use. They had to come out, install new faucet and replace the drywall. Rick stopped responding to my call and emails so I was forced to communicate with the contractor he hired. Stucco cracked on outside wall where they installed the soap dish cubby. The shower drain had to be brought up to code bustarted smelling less than a year later. This would happen every few months. Called a plumber who ran a camera and found gravel in the line and said it's either from the install or a connection came loose and debris is filling the line. Ran into Rick and asked him about it and was told "it's out of warranty". The only bright side was that the cabinets we picked out came out great and the tile work was perfect.

During demo and install Joe and his demo/install team did a great job communicating the process, working through small challenges (such as explaining to me why the sinks I selected were too big, and working with me so I could go swap out for betting fitting sinks for my project). He templated all the spaces and made sure everything was measured perfectly so it would all look great in my oddly angled kitchen. And he checked back after tiling backsplash to make sure details (even electrical faceplates) were done properly! What is most amazing...in my oddly shaped kitchen, there is ONLY one seam in the entire space! This company goes above and beyond to ensure a beautiful product! Bear with me...I was working on getting vinyl flooring installed & found something I fell in love…read morewith & purchased. It took two weeks to ship it to the store, none of this was done through Stockdale Tile. I decided to retile my entryway, so I went to Stockdale with a sample of the vinyl flooring and Ryan matched it perfectly with a tile that was in stock & on sale and he has a very good eye as it was the first tile he thought might work. The person I hired to do demolition & installation contacted me the night before he was to do start the work worried about asbestos and had contacted a remediation firm about testing. The approximate amount...$800. My house was built in 2000 and there was an underlayment of roofing felt which was required at the time. After, my initial panic, I called Stockdale Tile to ask them for advice. I had the opportunity to speak to both Ryan & Aaron...in their opinion, given the age of the house, they viewed it as highly unlikely that I had an issue that would require testing and/or remediation. Ryan gave me the name of 3 installers to call, all of whom had been tiling in Bakersfield for years to get additional advice & quotes on the job. One could squeeze my job in within a week. Not the end of my saga...when my new installer went to pick up the materials, the supplier told him without putting in an additional vapor barrier & underlayment it would void my warranty on the flooring...the installer said it didn't need it & it would his warranty if he put down under the flooring. Not wanting to lose either warranty & not knowing what to do, I called Stockdale Tile. Talk about customer service! Aaron called my installer to find out what specific issue he had, I took a sample of the flooring into the store, Aaron took one look at it & identified that it didn't need the extra underlayment as it had an attached pad, he even looked up the product on line. Also the Mohawk rep was in the store & he had never heard of a warranty being voided in the circumstances. Both felt that it was possible I was being upsold for unneeded items for my installation. I made the decision to return the flooring I bought from the other supplier & purchased something similar at Stockdale....of course the tile I had purchased was no longer the perfect match, but Ryan found one that worked with the new flooring & exchanged it out for my previous tile even though it was a higher priced tile. Then, they found carpet that went with both tile & flooring. I can't tell you how different I feel about this project, it was starting to feel like it was going from bad to worse to total disaster. And now, thanks to Stockdale Tile going above & beyond for me with all their help & advice, it feels like everything is back on track & maybe better than it started. Trust me, all my future projects are going to start with the staff at Stockdale Tile!

The showroom is clean and well organized - easy to navigate . The young lady who helped me was knowledgeable and friendly.
