Our initial elation was tempered a little when we uncovered some badly patched areas that we thought might not be able to be repaired. But then we contacted Hardwood Perfections. They came out quickly and advised us that indeed they could repair all of the damage and could do it on a timetable that fit perfectly into our plans. The floor refinishing crew did amazing work. After pulling up all of the damaged materials they rebuilt portions of the subfloor and then laced in new oak boards in a way that matched the existing floor perfectly. Next were several rounds of sanding to remove the old finish and even out everything. On the third and final day they applied Bona Natural water-based sealer followed by three coats of Bona matte finish. The results were stunning. Hardwood Perfections completely transformed this living space into something beautiful and amazing. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was flawless. All along the way we were advised of what was happening so there were never any surprises. Hardwood Perfections finished the job a full day ahead of schedule, did amazing work and stuck right to the estimate for services. Everything was fantastic and I heartily recommend them to anyone seeking to have old floors refinished or renewed. Hats off to Slav, Silviu and William for their truly amazing work.

Glad we covered things, that was not done or done very well. Slav said they would move the range and seal there, they didn't. Said they would remove the trim, not looking like they did. Now wondering about under the fridge. Why write this? I was not home for this work, recommend that you see that what was agreed to is done. I paid for those things. Getting refund for range and sealing off rooms, but would rather have had the work done right than discover what wasn't done. As for the refinishing, they nailed the loose boards I identified and sanded/sealed. Looks good.

They are family-run business (Serhii, his brother and family members do all the work), Serhii is a great communicator and he responded to my detailed questions in writing very clearly while some other contractors don't care to spend that time/effort. Their pricing is also pretty fair. During the project they worked hard and kept the schedule as promised. During the process some unanticipated issues came up and they showed flexibility and willingness to change the scope of the project and schedule accordingly. They are detail oriented. After we had them reinstall all baseboards there was one place we were not quite happy, they came back and fixed it. The end result was beautiful and it had been a great experience working with Serhii and his family crew! Just moved into a new place and wanted to extend the installed hardwood floors out into the bottom…read morebedroom and potentially into the entire upper floor. We had a few criteria when choosing a place: (1) Cost, (2) Timing and (3) Quality. 1. Cost - Being new to the area, we called 3 top-rated places (based on Yelp) to have someone come by, take measurements and give us a quote. All-Star responded the quickest. They contacted us the same day and we made an appointment for their person to come by the following day. He ended up coming a couple hours earlier which worked out in our favor. Alex took measurements the quickest (using the laser measuring tool) and he was out in 10 min. All-Star Flooring also turned around the quickest estimate - less than 24 hours. The next quickest place took 2 days. The estimate also came in at the lowest end of all the estimates we received. It was around 15% cheaper than next competitor. 2. Timing - We had a piano (2 at that) delivery scheduled within 5 days of receiving the estimate so it was crucial to get the flooring done into the extended bedroom before the arrival of the pianos. All-Star Flooring said they would be able to do it 2 days later and that it would take 5-6 hours to do. The other competitors were booked at least 4 days out and that left too close of a margin to deal with. They did mention that they would do it 3 days later but I told them our piano delivery situation and they made it work. Alex and his worker arrived 7:30 AM on the dot and wrapped up by 11am. 3. Quality - This is where we had to take a leap of faith. It was really based on a lack of negative quality reviews on their yelp page so I thought given everything else, it made sense to go with them. When they were done with the floors, it was as good as the builder's original floor, if not better. To wrap it up, I'm extremely happy that I chose them and while I didn't proceed w/ extending hardwood floors into the upper floor this time, I will be calling them to do that really soon.

I hired Keith and team to remodel my master bath shower because of a water leak. Overall, I had…read moremixed feelings about my experience. Everything went well until I felt like he tried to gaslight me into believing a piece of trim they removed near the shower was bigger than it was and they weren't going to texture the area that they had mudded. It turned out to be a miscommunication between him and his drywall contractor, but the conversation didn't leave a good taste in my mouth because even with proof in pictures, he argued with me quite a bit that the area they had mudded looked like that because the trim they removed covered the whole area and they weren't going to fix it. (Attached photos for illustration) I'm happy with the tile work even though there are some imperfections with the shower fixture installs, but those can be overlooked. The caulking was terrible and didn't look like it was done by a professional. When I inspected it the first time, I let it go because I thought it wouldn't be a big deal to remove it and re-caulk it myself when we eventually had to. However, after I showered in it for the first time, it leaked because they didn't fully caulk parts of the shower door. We re-caulked the areas that they missed, but I'm probably either going to have to hire another professional to remove the existing caulk and re-caulk it eventually or have to deal with it myself after paying so much money for the remodel. We also discovered a deep gash on the shower pan after thoroughly inspecting it. While they did come back to remedy this, it felt like it took some convincing that this wasn't a factory defect before agreeing to come back and resolve it. We found out when they came back that a piece of tile was indeed dropped in that area and caused the gash. Lesson learned, don't pay unless you're really satisfied with the outcome. This review is 3 stars because they were nice enough to help me fill in a couple sections of grout that flaked away in a different part of the house that was unrelated to this project. Addition in response to owner's reply: I may be a bit confused about the trim. I assumed that if something originally part of the demo was removed, it would be replaced to match the previous look. I didn't realize I needed to specify this, but it's a lesson learned for the future. As for the shower fixtures, I distinctly remember a verbal acknowledgement that even if we bought a new shower fixture, that you wouldn't charge us anything additional to install it. I was charged for the extra parts of this additional install and happily paid that. I unfortunately did not notice that the shower fixtures were installed a bit crooked until after showering in it, but as mentioned, they are things I can live with. Nonetheless, thank you taking care of the install. In regards to the caulking, perhaps you may have misremembered that during inspection, you asked us if we had touched the caulking and we told you we did not, so your response mentioning that we touched anything during inspection is incorrect. To clarify for future readers, the photos of the caulking I uploaded with my review show the original finished work, before we made any touch-ups to address the leaking issues. As mentioned before, it was absolutely my fault for not calling out the poor job before signing off on it, but it's a lesson learned moving forward. Indeed, the remediation and renovation work of the drywall and carpet were done well, so no complaints there. Addition in response to owner's new reply: It's becoming increasingly difficult to follow your story on the caulking since it's not true. Again, I want to reiterate that during the inspection, we did not touch the caulking, and it's disappointing to see that rather than acknowledging the poor caulking job by your team, there are explanations being created to justify it. At this point, I won't be updating this review further, as it seems to be turning into more of a "he said, she said" situation. Best of luck.
