A few times after a purchase, I noticed that the price they display on the floor was different from the price you are charged on the receipt. Beautiful....yes, but not very user friendly when it comes to understanding what it is you are actually buying. This review is based off of an online purchase…read more I ordered a set of the carry on luggage/cosmetic case combo and was thrilled when it arrived well ahead of the 3 week turn around time posted on the website. When I first opened the box, I was in awe. The bags were absolutely GORGEOUS. As I looked at them more carefully, however, I noticed a number of nicks and scuffs on the exterior finish. I immediately reached out to the shop to request a replacement. I was told that the scuffs were as a result of the manufacturing process but that the bag was "defect-free". I was offered a refund, but when I inquired about a replacement I was told that because of the aforementioned manufacturing process, all of the bags had the same blemishes on the finish. I'm not sure what they consider a defect, but scuffs and imperfections in the finish of a brand new bag certainly count as defects in my book. For what this set of bags cost, there needs to be some kind of warning or disclaimer on the website to let customers know what to expect. Or, even better, get your supplier to address and rectify the manufacturing challenges that contributing to the production of damaged products. In addition to the issues with the finish, both the exterior and interior zippers get stuck often, making the bag challenging to close. I think they get caught in the flap of fabric that covers the zipper track. These kinds of issues are readily apparent and should be addressed before these items are made available to customers. Makes you wonder if they perform any kind of quality review on their products before selling them.

There is a lot to like about Dearborn Denim, with just one caveat at the end…read more What I like: + The jeans are made in Chicago. While I am not someone who completely avoids clothing made overseas, I feel good about wearing something that contributes to the local economy and is made by someone working in safe conditions for a good wage. + The jeans are a good cross between rugged and comfortable (especially after a little wear-in). While I would not wear these to a construction site or run in them, they work well for an office worker with a cat. What I mean is, they are soft enough that I don't feel abrasion or scratchiness from all-day wear. At the same time, when my cat greets me at the door with claws extended, I am not as worried about holes or damage as with other, more expensive brands. + The length is cut to your size and preference and then sewn in-store while you wait. While I am not a man with an unusual or rare size, I love that I can have something customized to me. It's a rare and treasured touch these days. + The service in their location was fantastic. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and worked with me to find something I would be happy with in terms of color, length, and fit. + Especially considering the quality of the product and that it's made locally, I feel as though the asking price of $79 is more than reasonable. The caveat: - The fit could have been better. When I bought Levi's at Target or Amazon, I would go for the "Athletic Fit," which is a little narrower than a standard cut but not skinny. I thought Dearborn's "Tailored Fit" would be perfect, but it didn't feel quite right or comfortable. I had to go for their "Relaxed Fit," which was comfortable but didn't quite hit the nail on the head in terms of overall fit. However, I am not an unreasonable fellow and I realize that if I wanted something that would fit perfectly, I would need to pay a lot more money and go bespoke. Having fits for every body shape is otherwise impossible. I do want to mention that Mugsy, despite being of only one style, seems to be more in line with the fit I seek. However, they don't have some of the other benefits mentioned above. Final Verdict: As I start to move on from Amazon and Target (for they shrink way too much), Dearborn Denim will enter my rolodex for places where I occasionally buy clothing. However, I cannot say it will be the only place where I buy my jeans.

Threadless uses contracted printing shops for various items. They do not uphold a high quality…read morestandard at all. More than 50% of the items I've ordered in 2025 have had defects. This includes everything from t-shirts to hoodies to mugs. They can't get the printing straight. The printing contains defects with streaks or entire chunks missing. Is a human being even LOOKING at these before they go out the door? It's shameful. Threadless has reprinted a handful of items for me and has refunded me for others. However the most…read morerecent order that I got from them, four of the shirts have gigantic decals that are so gross. It's super frustrating that there's no phone number or way to talk to anybody. I went back-and-forth with them and back-and-forth with them on email it is such a waste of time. First they were like "just pick out other shirts and you can keep those." Which seems nice but I was like "how will I know whether or not the shirts I'm picking or decals?" And they just kept denying that the shirts were made with decals, saying that they're all printed onto the shirt which simply isn't true. Finally they were saying "oh if these are decals we're gonna have to do a deep dive with one of our printers because none of these shirts are supposed to be decals." And then they were like "we're gonna send you the shirts again." I and I said, PLEASE don't send me more decals. Sigh. They sent them again and they are still decals. it's really a bummer because I loved Threadless for so many years. I'm a grandmother and I've been buying threadless shirts for my grandsons since they were little (they are 18 and 15 now). The designs are adorable. But these most recent shirts are just awful. I even bought a shirt for my younger grandson that I had also bought for my older grandson a few years beack. The older purchase was printed on the shirt. it was a Where's Waldo sitting in a cross legged position saying "find yourself."so good! Well the new one is a giant decal and it's really gross. I cannot talk to anyone there they customer service is the worst and I guess writing this is my letting go I want to still order from threadless but this is just ridiculous. I'm so sad.
