This summer, we learned that our daughter was disciplined by being made to stand against the wall as a "time out" for running around the center. This was never disclosed to us as part of the school's discipline policy, and we were not informed at the time it happened, we only found out because our daughter mentioned it. Even more concerning, our daughter told us another child was made to stand against the wall as well, and was reportedly told "who told you you could sit down" when he tried to sit. We don't know every detail of that second incident, but if true, it points to a culture of discipline that relies on humiliation and intimidation rather than positive guidance. We've reported this formally and are waiting on a response. A call was promised today (7/2/26) however, I have not received a call yet. Until we see real accountability and a change in disciplinary practices, we can't recommend this school anymore.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Best Learning Center after school learning academy! From…read morethe moment I walked in, I knew this was a place that truly prioritizes the growth and academic excellence of each student. The teachers are incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand the unique needs and strengths of every student. Their passion for teaching is so evident, and they go above and beyond to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. My 1st grader misses his teacher Ms. Emily when either one of them miss a day. It's clear that the center is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of the subjects they cover, rather than just rote memorization. My child has not only improved academically but has also developed a deeper love of learning. One of the things that stands out the most is the supportive and focused atmosphere. The other children in attendance are equally driven and committed to their studies, which creates a positive, motivating environment. It's a space where kids feel comfortable asking questions, collaborating with peers, and doing their very best. Best Learning Center has truly made a difference in my child's academic journey, and I couldn't be more grateful! I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing, effective after-school program. Special Notes- 1. They are open on additional non-school days (sometimes). 2. They are open until 6pm which helps with my long commute. 3. They have transportation, but are also very close to Arovista Elementary. 4. They match school hours, even early release Wednesdays. 5. The pace of lessons are tailored towards the student; if a faster pace is preferred he can do that, and he really excels in helping those who want to understand how and why everything works together. Very patient in explanations and works to make sure the student understands the concept. Not only that, but he stays up late helping students with math and answering questions past midnight. He cares about his students and I'll definitely miss his classes as I'm off to university. There are many math tutors, but Terry is the person you go to for an in-depth understanding of coursework. He ensured that I not only understood the topic but also confident in anything I was given! He is also able to understand and adapt to the many different teaching styles by the teachers at my school. No matter the time or day, he was always there for me. I still remember the night before one of my Calculus exams. I was Terry's last student of the day, and our session was supposed to end at 11:30pm. He stayed on the Zoom call with me until midnight, patiently helping me with the questions I struggled to understand. I cannot recommend Terry highly enough. I can say with total confidence that Ms. Raven is the most responsible teacher I've encountered…read moreacross all the after-school programs we've tried. Her dedication is unmatched. Why This Program Stands Out: Personalized Progress Tracking: Ms. Raven tracks every student's progress weekly and personally calls parents to provide updates and listen to any feedback or suggestions. Shift in Attitude: My child went from hating math to actually being willing to attend. The "Reward System" they have in place is very effective at keeping kids motivated. Self-Paced Learning: Students can work at their own pace, which gives them a great sense of freedom and reduces pressure. Curriculum Balance: The material is a mix of what they are currently learning in school and new concepts they haven't seen yet. While it doesn't strictly follow the school's timeline, it keeps them challenged. No Homework: Perhaps the best part is that there is no extra homework to bring home. For a child who is already resistant to math, this is a huge plus. Ultimate Flexibility: They are open Monday through Saturday, and you can drop in at any time. There are no fixed class slots, which is incredibly convenient for a busy schedule. Bottom Line: If you are looking for a supportive environment where your child can overcome their fear of math without the burden of extra homework, I highly recommend this place!

I've used this center for SAT prep, Pre-Calc help, Calculus, and college apps. Overall, the…read moreteaching quality is solid, with a few outstanding instructors whose sessions fill up SO quickly. Because those high-demand teachers are often requested a week in advance, it can be difficult to book them last minute. Most teachers are good and will ensure you understand the material, especially if you come prepared with specific questions. With the strongest instructors, you're thoroughly covered. They make sure their explanations are clear and detailed, and they check for understanding. With the less effective teachers, you may need to advocate for yourself more and do additional work independently to get your doubts resolved. Math instruction here is a particular strength!!Shout-out to my goat Victor, his guidance helped me ace a Pre-Calculus test I was convinced I was going to die during. On SAT prep specifically: after attending both Elite and C2 bootcamps, I personally no longer believe SAT prep courses are even worth it. just get good at desmos bro, you don't need to even know math to do well (as someone who scored 1500). If you are set on doing a bootcamp however, C2 was by far the better experience between the two. For college applications, I would not recommend spending your hours here. While they offer college-app help, in my experience they're not especially attuned to what admissions offices prioritize, nor do they try to research it at all. You'll likely get more value from the excellent (and free) resources available on YouTube. That said, their writing + ELA support for school is fine so dw about that. MADE coffee is almost right next door and I love getting coffee before I go in Saturday mornings, that is a mega plus. overall, I really like coming here and it has saved my butt multiple times. the community of it all is wonderful and they make you feel encouraged no matter what. I'm someone who has to engage with a topic multiple times to understand something, so often I feel pretty stupid when I go to other places for tutoring help, but I never feel like that at all here! I feel safer to ask questions I would feel stupid for asking at other places. edit: a lot of my experience with this place has been during the summer before senior year, and I've heard that the vibe at C2 is a lot different during summers, so that should be something to note
