Modernized facility. Wonderful staff…read more Well thought out ans seamless adoption process. It is much quicker and more efficient than Pasadena SPCA location. I recommend this location by a mile. They ha e lots of perks that make add value to your new pet adoption, such free initial pet food, coupons (significant diacounts), as well as very reasonable pet insurance. Thank you for helping my wife and I through this process.

The place is nice, I like that they provide services for affordable prices however they kinda suck…read morewhen it comes down to giving care and talking to you as the pet parent. I took my baby in for her vaccinations and she was eligible for 3 year shots so I requested those, however when i got the paperwork and was charged they seemed to have given her the 1 year ones and i didn't request that so like what the hell? Ya know? And I couldn't even tell them to do the right one because she already got her damn shots. Not paying attention and giving my baby the wrong shot, what if it was a really bad mess up and they gave her something that could've hurt her with their incompetence? Anyways my kitty girl needs a booster and they sent me emails to schedule one but i tried and the website was being weird so i called. They told me over the phone they were not doing vaccinations anymore??? Or something stupid I'm just annoyed because the lady who answered was rude and was annoyed that i was asking like I was stupid or something even tho they sent emails saying to schedule and nothing about this new notice only when I called was I informed. So yes can be affordable with a deal but YOUR SERVICE SUCKSSSs, frick this place.

For the first time in my life I have been fighting homelessness for about a year and a half now,…read moreI've tried so many agencies who claim to help in a crisis. Non have been able to provide any services, it's always some reason I don't qualify. What has the world come to where you need so much more than being homeless to qualify for services. I have exhausted so much money paying for hotels. The last hotel my family and I resided in the staff put us in a hotel room with a broken window because of their negligence my autistic son fell 4 story's and because so we are now fighting a CFS case for the past few months. My husband and I came to this organization looking to be able to save up for just a month while I continue school. Their reasoning for not helping us was because I had no connection with surrounding areas hello I'm homeless I have no connection with any area ‍ weird. They also said I couldn't go to school I have to be working which is also weird considering my husband already works, by going to school I'm working towards something more permanent for my family. Neither one of us does any type of drugs or drink, we are just a family who have been experiencing hard times that won't give up. We only needed 30 days to save up some money before our court date, finding a house is the last thing we need to complete before we can get the kids back and we were hoping to stay here for a month so we can save enough to cover move in cost when we find our next home.

To the person who adopted Annie…read more If you adopted a brown chihuahua mix named Annie, I am her foster mom and wanted to you to know a little about her personality. please know she was very loved and she's very smart and knows many commands. She loves her little squeaky piggy toy to play fetch with. She eats Pure farm to bowl small breed kibble brand and bacon treats are her fav. She absolutely hates going potty indoors and if it happens on she will get your attention and wants you to clean it asap. So making sure she goes out to do her business is very important her. Wish I would have been able to give the new family her toys, clothes and just insight on the her daily routine and likes and dislikes. Now my review of the rescue and this is solely my experience with fostering for this rescue. I decided to foster after my dog passed away. They asked me to come in and take a look to see who was a good fit, but when I got there I was immediately given a dog to foster. I was rushed out of there and given the bed, blanket and a bag of food. Laura the person that runs the rescue maybe great with the animals but terrible people skills. When I brought the Annie home she was eating her poop which means she was being starved. We quickly corrected that behavior. Whenever I brought the dog in for an adoption event which for the TWO years I fostered her was only 2 events and one appointment every time Laura stated the dog was overweight at 18lbs mind you she was a chihuahua mix so of course she was not your full breed average weight but this dog was loved, spoiled and kept on a routine of a daily walks to the park and an afternoon walk on the block. She was getting great exercise and proper nutrition with proper vet care because I took on all the financial responsibilities of vet bills and the best minimal ingredient foods. She stated that fat dogs don't get adopted. If a person is going to say this about a dog then they should not be allowed to adopt at all. I never heard from Laura, no one ever checked on the dog. This was so weird to me because how is the dog supposed get adopted if you don't show her at the adoption events. They don't keep up with social media like other rescues. Commutation with this rescue seriously needs to improve. This was probably the worst experience I've had with fostering. The last time I took the Annie in for a potential adoption appointment, was the last time I saw her. Laura promised to upadate me and send a video of her with her new family but I never got that. I asked and she said she was not adopted but never asked me to foster again. I also hesitated to offer because it meant that I would have to continue to deal with Laura. All communication just stopped. They are so crowded but yet don't care to have fosters for their dogs. It wasn't until we checked the website recently that we found out the dog was finally adopted. We are sad that we didn't get to see her adoption and would never help this rescue again.

I want to begin by noting that the employees here have always been helpful. James, the manager,…read morealong with Eddie and Dylan, handled a recent uncomfortable situation professionally, and my concerns are not directed at the staff. My concern is a regular reseller whose behavior toward other shoppers is completely unacceptable. If another customer has merchandise in their cart that she wants, she will hover nearby, look into their cart, follow them through the store, make comments about what they found, and complain to other people that it is somehow "not fair." During my most recent visit, I personally experienced this behavior. She followed me around the store, repeatedly looked at and commented on what was in my cart, and made the entire shopping experience incredibly uncomfortable. I felt harassed and intimidated simply for purchasing merchandise that she apparently wanted. She then involved employees and gave an account of the situation that was inaccurate. James, Eddie, and Dylan handled the confrontation professionally, which I appreciated. Rather than simply moving on, she became argumentative and began berating employees who were trying to address the situation. I'm writing this review because after seeing another recent Yelp review about this store, I think other customers deserve additional context. Based on what I personally witnessed and experienced, there is another side to what happened. If you experience similar behavior while shopping here, including someone following you, inspecting your cart, commenting on your finds, complaining that you got merchandise they wanted, or trying to involve other shoppers or employees, just know that you are not obligated to engage with them or justify what is in your cart. Finding an item first does not make you selfish, unfair, or responsible for another reseller's disappointment. Every customer has the same right to shop without being followed, pressured, or harassed over what they found. James, Eddie, and Dylan deserve recognition for remaining professional throughout an unnecessarily hostile interaction. Unfortunately, one customer's behavior can create an enormous amount of unnecessary drama. Don't let it ruin your shopping experience or discourage you from coming here.
