So I took my FIRST class at Epicycle this morning with Kia...and yeah... I fear I've been converted From the second I walked in, it was a whole vibe. Not the fake "hi welcome" either--like REAL energy, REAL warmth. The kind where you're looking around like, "wait... why do I feel like I belong here already?" My favorite cycle studio in the area! I think I've taken every instructor's class and I can say that while each instructor has their own choice of music or theme for that specific class, they always make the 45 minutes go by so quick because it's so fun! If they know there's a new rider in the class, they'll go over how to use the bike, talk about modifications (which was nice because I also cycled while pregnant), and the front desk person will help you adjust your bike before you hop on. I attended with a group of girls from my regular gym, it was such a vibe! I use the peloton app for my regular indoor Cycling activities, but this was so much fun! I've never experienced a cycling class in person. Although I likely won't become a regular member, I can see myself attending on occasion, with a friend, on a weekend, due to my schedule. I would have never in a million years thought I would ever get into spin classes, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. All the instructors I've come across at EPICycle provide a comfortable class experience. No intimidation and all motivation. It also helps that they blast some of my favorite tunes!! I found this cycle family right after COVID when I needed a fitness community the most!!! And I'm just finishing my 90th ride today. I specifically love this studio compared to other ones I've attended because of their optimal class schedules. I'm a 40 hr corporate baddie LOL and don't have the schedule to attend only early or mid day classes, so they offer two night classes 5:30pm and 6:45pm for all the night owls during the week. They also run multiple classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I highly recommend taking coach Mac or coach Amber class due to their turn up playlists and motivating attitudes. Honestly any class you sign up for you won't regret. Plus all first time riders ride for only $5!!! That's cheaper than my skinny golden eagle at Dutch Bros LOL. Leaving Epicycle after a 45 min workout has me leaving feeling more stronger, beautiful, and capable than I felt walking in. My sister and I started taking cycling classes a few weeks ago at Epicycle and it has changed our lives. Each time we walk into Epicycle we feel so excited to start. The feeling you get in Epicycle feels like a welcoming and supportive environment. Mylene the owner remembers our names from the first class and goes outta her way to ensure that we are always welcomed. It feels like we've known her forever! All the instructors we have taken so far, like Candace, Mylene, and Machelle are challenging and graceful in their own way. We tend to go at the same time slot each class and even though it's the same three instructors for the classes we have taken each class is completely different! New music, new choreography, etc. Our only regret is that we did not find this place sooner. Those that are interested in taking classes I highly recommend. It's challenging but it allows you to grow.
