For example, a couple entered the store and he immediately welcomed them and offered his assistance in a very low key way. He picked out a coat for the gentleman that he felt would be a good fit. The gentleman was initially surprised by Gerry's suggestion but then he looked at the jacket more carefully and tried it on,. The look on his face was priceless. Likewise, everyone else in the store was smiling. Those moments happen frequently for customers at Sonas Denim. In fact, "sonas" means good fortune or happiness in Gaelic. My first visit to Sonas was also a surprising moment of pleasure, considering I have never enjoyed shopping for clothing. From my earliest experiences, shopping for clothing was as much fun as going to the dentist. In this case, Gerry completely changed my attitude toward shopping and now I look forward to Gerry's assistance with any shopping needs that I have. I've received numerous compliments whenever I wear pieces from Sonas. For high fashion, low pressure, good vibes and affordable prices, I highly recommend shopping at Sonas Denim.

Last summer I bought a top there from the company Velvet and asked to order another. The salesperson said I would hear back, and I never did. I ended up buying it online for $30 less. Recently I went to the store to buy a belt. The salesperson directed me to the cubbies around the store but wouldn't answer questions about available sizes. All she told me was the brand. Again, I went online to buy the belt at a lower price than I would have paid at the store. I will return to the store to browse for brands but will buy elsewhere until the customer service is comparable to the quality of the merchandise.

I replied, "it's 5:00," to which she replied, "we close at 5:00" as she stood by the door. No asking if I was still looking; no asking if she could help. The only reason I shop at this over priced shop (which has clothes one can get at the Village or even Marshalls!) is to "shop local." No more. I know the employees can't be getting paid much, but that terrible customer service is really bad for business.

I have never been to this particular store before, but the enchanting aroma of incense drew me in!…read moreAs I walked down the steps, there was a gentleman behind the counter on an iPad, listening to what sounded like a radio talk show in a different language. I love learning about culture and didn't want to interrupt as I walked around the store I noticed that iconic Buddhas with handwritten messages about what each figurine stood for. I only know about a couple of the Buddhas and good luck charms within the Japanese and Chinese culture but Tibetan culture is still new to me. Some of the items were a bit overpriced, but I believe for the value since they were imported, it wasn't too bad of a price. Plus, I love shopping at small businesses and I fell in love with some bracelets that look similar to an Nenju in Japanese culture, made out of turquoise and tigers eye. I know the healing qualities of both beads, and I bought two of the bracelets for my son and my best friend. As I asked the gentleman about the masks on the wall, he was delighted to tell me about his culture, and how there is a Buddhist tradition where people wear a larger version of the mask to ward off bad/evil spirits at different festivals throughout the year! I was able to share with him about the Japanese culture and how they have a festival in February where someone wears a red or blue mask of an OnI mask. He listened to my story and added more from his culture since he was from Tibet! I love to listening to his story, and he actually brought up a video of the cultural dance on his iPad! I felt very enlightened for the day, and I loved learning about his culture and history! I will definitely be back again!!

They carried blankets, scarves, napkins, and table runners and I was able to find a similar patterned napkin that I had been eyeing in another store that I just couldn't turn down, the leaves were too gorgeous and my mother ended up loving it! The service was extremely helpful and Vita Collage is definitely a must-stop in shop if you're visiting this adorable little town!
