The absolute worst experience of my life. Had a scheduled pick-up time of 5:45am from Keystone Resort to DIA. 6:15am rolls by and no sign of any shuttle, not even a phone call. We call two numbers for CME and no answer. Finally, we get in touch with CME dispatch in Keystone and they notify us the driver is 30 minutes away. It is now 7:00am and the driver finally shows up, but with a disgruntled demeanor and quite an attitude. He stated that he was driving around Breckenridge for 30 minutes trying to find our address (why? I don't know, because we sure weren't in that town). 20 minutes after beginning the trip back to DIA he finally apologizes, but not after he curses at our guests and acts like a unprofessional and complete moron. read more

Made this reservation a week in advance for 10:30 expecting to get to aspen as fast as possible and was the last drop off and had to stop the middle of the way to switch drivers. And for 250$$?!! Sorry sir but your departure time is only an estimate and it's too bad you had to wait 20 minutes but we don't really care as you have already paid and this is why companies like Uber and Lyft are doing so well. I will try them next time as the Mercedes Sprinter vans look like they are cool but CME has a policy of NEVER changing the shocks just to be sure no one gets to fall asleep as boy oh boy do you feel each pot hole or bump in the road. The one star I ddi give here was for the driver as she was very nice but oh dear. Next trip I will give Lyft a try and see how they do. read more

If you have the unfortunate luck to be picked up in the newer Mercedes Sprinter, get ready to get REALLY close to your fellow passengers! Unlike the older vans that seat 10 people, they crammed 12 into these shuttles. For the first 45 minutes I had to keep my arms outstretched forward because there wasn't enough room to put my arms at my side! 45 minutes into the ride the guy to my right made the mistake of reaching for something and the lady to my left leaned over to say something to her daughter. I was able to slowly bring my arms back and FINALLY rest them. The lady to my left then had to literally hold her arms up in front of her until we stopped! So by mistake or design, CME can now cram in more riders and enjoy better fuel mileage which can only come at the cost of ridership. Buyer beware! And btw, the driver was great! All pro. So sorry he's been handed such lousy equipment to do the job with. read more

I put my disabled parents on the shuttle this morning from Frisco to DIA. The driver of the 5:45 am bus was so nice and helpful to them. They reported a comfortable, safe and pleasant ride. Many thanks to the driver for his courteousness and respect. read more

we have been taking this shuttle for 20 yrs. one yr. we flew into eagle and on our way back upon arrival the airport was closed - snowing ? the driver had no clue that it was closed? I think he knew and wanted his quota? taxi ride was $60 to CME office? the coffee at the jack in the box was ok? but the employee - who was mopping the floor asked if I wanted something? I said "yeah a cup of coffee" she dropped the mop and didn't wash her hands? good thing it was just coffee? I just made a new reservation and I always feel like Im talking to someone that really doesn't want to help you? what is bad is the supervisor is irratated that an associate had to ask her a question. And this discount program has been going on since 2005? Maybe no other gig in town that can take you to the mountains. good luck read more

If you have to take a bus, and I hate busses, CME is the one to take. They are actually a van / mini bus fleet. The Mercedes is the best of the fleet - hope you get lucky! I take CME between Denver airport and Vail. Service is on time and their drivers are always professional and friendly. When they have a full van, however, the feeling is too squished. I wish they had bigger seats, arm rests and more leg room. Sitting in the last row is awful, I get car sick every time. A first class versus coach option would be great! Maybe assigned seats or assigned rows to make the trip better for those of us who care about that sort of thing? On the plus side, they take me right to my hotel and there is plenty of room for baggage in the back. My stuff and I always feel safe, even when the roads are icy and covered in snow. The vans have free WiFi, about the only "frill" on CME. This is not the luxury part of your trip to Vail - just grit your teeth and get through it. read more

I have used Colorado Mountain Express last March for my ride back from Breckenridge to Denver Airport. Service was flawless : friendly driver, shuttle arriving right on time at my building's door, arrival at the airport perfectly on schedules. Everything went perfectly. Our experience recently on Rocky Mountain Express signaled to me that this van/limo service must have cornered the market for Denver to Vail area ground transportation. Both price and comfort reflect lack of concern on RME's part that they risk losing customers as they are the only game in town. The RME van we traveled in had four person across places for humans to supposedly sit for the over two hour trip. Our foursome row consisted of two 100 pound-ish petit women and two 190 poundish men (one was me). The men sitting in the middle "seats" could not sit back in their places without skin to skin should and arm touching. To avoid commonly shared sweating, this meant one person had to lean forward while the other leaned back over the 140 minute drive...about the running time length of the current movie "Boyhood" or the classically long "Dr. Zhivago." No one should have to bear this discomfort and be asked to pay for it ....but RME seems to have no problem offering this. read more

On Sunday afternoon, booked a ride from Beaver Creek to Denver airport for Tuesday morning. Cost was $135. A friend suggested I call another service and they quoted $70. I booked with other service and called Colorado Mountain Express back on Sunday to cancel - explaining I found another ride. I was told I would be charge $5 on my credit card for cancelling - and I asked them not to do so as I had just booked and then cancelled well within their 24 hour window. He insisted he would charge me and hung up. Not called them again. read more

AWFUL customer service! I asked for a refund when we weren't able to fly due to complications with airlines and ended up driving 14.5 hours alone with 2 toddlers and cancelling my reservation with CME as soon as I got in my car to drive and they still charged me for 3 people that couldn't in any form or fashion fly into Denver! So I had to pay for a service I couldn't have ever used!! And I was nice enough to cancel asap! There was absolutely no empathy for a mother driving across three states alone it was all about their bottom line! read more

Friendly, efficient and there was a shuttle waiting for me within an hour and a half. Ted was the driver and made the entire experience really great. I have used CME many times for trips from the Denver airport to Vail. I have generally had very good experiences with them. The drivers have almost always been good and cautious in bad conditions. They usually leave on time. The only negatives I can think of are at a recent trip where they waited 20 minutes for a guest who ultimately never showed up. I think they need to refine their late policy, as it inconveniences everyone. The other negative is the mid-way stop at the Starbuck's. I have had drivers ask the group if they want to stop, which I think is a good policy. I think most people want to get to their destination as soon as possible (obviously, if the driver really needs to stop, or the driving has been very slow and hazardous, it is understandable to stop). read more

We have used Colorado Mountain Express several times on our trips out to Beaver Creek. They have always been prompt, reliable and just a pleasure to use. This time the airline lost both of our children's snowboarding bags on our arrival. Our driver was very helpful in providing us with coupons for rentals, knowledge on how to rent clothing and also drove me and my daughter to Walmart after dropping the rest of our party at the condo. After feeling so let down and frankly beat up by the airlines that day my faith was restored in customer service and care because our experience with Colorado Mountain Express. read more

I took the shuttle from DIA to Breckenridge, the shuttle there was uncomfortable and was crammed full of 10 people but the worst of it is they loaded my snowboarding bag improperly and it ripped my bag in half! choose any other shuttle service then this unless you want poor care for your gear and your comfort read more

I was so happy with my Colorado Mountain Express shuttle from Beaver Creek to Denver this week! This is the second time I have used this service. I especially loved this driver as he asked us if we wanted to stop halfway for a bathroom break! I wish that would be asked every time. Have rode CME many times over the years. Consistently on time and gracious to riders. Clean interior and most drivers very acco dating and respectful. Counter staff welcoming. Newer van seating not as comfortable as older models despite newer having Mercedes label. Do not expect luxury comfort. Expect when winds are high the van height can become a target. Airport does not permit bags to be dropped off at counter, so if you have large bags and have a delay whereby you must retain your bags, be prepared to haul them around until you're ready to depart. Can be a pain if have a large bag and there is a 2 hour delay between arrival and departure. Bring your own water. None offered. read more

I am writing this review as I sit at the Denver Airport with my family waiting for another shuttle van. I made the reservation online this morning for transportation from the airport to Vail. Our flight arrived from Florida at 7:20 PM. Our family headed to baggage. I showed the Airport Information representative my confirmation paper and she directed me outside to shuttle pickup. We then went outside to the shuttle pickup but there was no van. I phoned the 800 number and was told to go back inside to a counter by Hertz to catch the shuttle. We went back inside and found the counter at 8:07 PM. We were then told that the shuttle left us and that we would have to wait for the 9:00 PM shuttle. Just what a family wants to hear after flying for five hours and coming from eastern standard time. When I complained to the Manager he told me that instead of booking online I should have called to make the reservation and they would have told me where to go and to be at the counter before 8:00 PM sharp or they would leave us. He also told me that the directions were in my confirmation email but I printed my itinerary confirmation page at the time I booked and it DOES NOT give that information. I would give this company zero stars if possible. If you have my flight details and my CELL PHONE NUMBER why not call me to load into your van? Can you imagine a private car or even a Taxi leaving a customer who has prepaid? A large bus yes but I expect better from a shuttle company and that is why I booked with a shuttle company. Furthermore, when I called the company while outside at the airport shuttle pickup, why not ask for my reservation details and call dispatch to let them know we were less than 100 feet from the van instead of leaving us? This is not a company I would recommend to anyone. Rent a car or hire a different shuttle company. read more

They made 8 of us sit in the van at the Vail Transportation Center waiting for 1 guy who was late. They never said a thing-- we just sat.

I have never used CME personally. I did have a terrible experience with one of the drivers. When I went to my local Grocery store, I noticed that FOUR CME vans were parked in the FIRE LINE and had a sign plain as day saying NO PARKING. I told the gentleman driving one of the vans that he was in a Fire Lane, he just looked at me and smirked. As I exited the store, I seen a different driver and simply told him he was also in a Fire Lane and there was a sign stating there was no parking. He replies "yea, keep talking buddy" in a very aggressive manner. Is this the type of drivers you want to drive you around? Do you really think these guys are safe in the road when they can't even read and follow a simple law for parking? read more

We took CME the week of March 23rd round trip to Vail from Denver. We hadn't taken them in years because in years past it felt like just another van ride.What an improvement!!! New Sprinter vans are great! the stopover for Starbucks half way was a nice touch and broke up the trip. Drivers were both courteous and informational. The desk folks in Denver were very helpful with our luggage and the process of getting to the van. The confirmation process on line was simple as well and I did not need to talk to anyone to get it done. Thanks for the great job, we are back as a loyal customer! Our only suggestion for the vans is to add chargers for cell phones for the business folks trying to get that last minutes bit of work done. read more

CME are the most unprofessional, uncaring, unsympathetic, desplicable company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Here's the story, we had booked return tranfers from DIA to Snowmass, and paid in advance. On Tuesday 2/16/16, I 70 was blocked by a rock slide, we were due to depart Snowmass at 11.16am on Thursday 2/18/16. Through an email we received from our travel agent in Australia at 11.06am on Thursday 2/18/16, we were advised that due to the rock slide our departure had been rescheduled to 1.46pm on Thursday 2/18/16. We waited at our accommodation until the rescheduled time, and when no van arrived, I contacted CME at 2.30pm to enquire as to the whereabouts of the van, I spoke to a girl named Crystal who would turn out to be the most vapid individual I have ever dealt with. I asked Crystal as to the whereabouts of the van, to be told quite bluntly that it would not be turning up that day, and no guarantee could be given as to when it would turn up. Crystal said she had contacted our Australian agent and advised that there would be no pickup, this was an absolute lie, it never occurred, and when I advised her of this she responded that that was the only contact they had for us. I responded by saying that they knew they were picking us up from Crestwood Condominiums and could have contacted us there, Crystal responds with I never thought of that, what a dullard. I advised that our accommodation at Snowmass had ended, and what were we supposed to do about returning to Denver, where we had to collect a vehicle to continue on our holiday. Crystal's response was that we could book other accommodation, for an undetermined period of time, or look at the possibility of obtaining other private vehicle transfer from Snowmass to DIA at our own expense, and CME would only refund the return portion of the transfer. I advised Crystal that there was an option to return to DIA by an alternate route, that would add an extra 3 hours to the journey, however, it became quite clear after discussing this option, that CME had absolutely no intentions of incurring an extra cost to return its client's to DIA as soon as possible. So much for having a contract for the provision of a service, worth nothing. I asked to speak to managers but were told they were on lunch, what a joke. Eventually we hired a vehicle from Aspen and drove ourselves back to Denver, we were fortunate to obtain a vehicle as a lot of other people had been abandoned by CME and were doing the same as us. I have had to pay approximately $600 extra to complete a job that CME were engaged to do. CME knew that there was never any intention to return their client's to DIA on Thursday 2/18/16, and if we were told of this earlier in the day we could have made arrangements to return to Denver earlier. I will never use this useless excuse for a company again, and advise any other potential clients to consider that if there is a weather event, rock slide, broken fingernail you can not count on CME to deliver on fulfilling their obligations. I have just heard that I 70 is still closed and will not open till next week. I wonder if CME is still taking people's money when they know they can't deliver. Stay away from this outfit, and save money and time by hiring your own vehicle. read more

I used Colorado Mountain Express from Denver to Vail, which cost $90 for a two hour ride. We left twenty minutes late. I booked again from Vail back to Denver. There was heavy snow and they were 20 minute late picking me up. When I tried to call to see if my shuttle was coming, I waited on the phone for 10 minutes. After the shuttle finally arrived and got done picking up passengers at three more hotels, we got on the road. The road had just closed indefinitely because of snow, and instead of taking us back to our hotel, the driver insisted that we stop in a parking lot until further notice. After an hour he changed his mind, so eventually another van came and dropped us back off at our hotel. When I called CME to tell them I no longer needed their services as I had made plans to take a different flight the following day, they refused to refund my money, saying I could either reschedule or cancel. They provided me no services but took my $90, even after I spoke with a manager. I stayed at the Marriott in Vail, and their staff also said that they have had bad experiences with CME, but that CME essentially has a monopoly on the market so there is nothing they can do. If I had to repeat this experience, I would rent a 4WD car. read more

Yesterday was my first experience with CME in the 25 years I've been at Copper Mountain, CO. My assigned pick up time was 11:50 AM; my flight was 4 PM. I knew that sometimes the van that picks you up, stops in Frisco, and has you transfer to the van going to DIA, however we didn't leave Frisco until 12:45 which was a full hour after I was picked up. The weather was treacherous, and it took forever to get through the tunnel. It was 3 PM when we turned onto Pena Blvd., and 3:25 when I checked in. By some miracle I made my flight: fortunately I had upgraded to first class and am TSA approved; otherwise it would never have happened. Since CME has vans on the roads early in the morning, I don't understand why I wasn't notified that I should take an earlier shuttle. I also had no clue that my departure time was 12:30 PM instead of 11:50 AM, which my first driver informed me of, as I was transferring vans in Frisco, and voiced concern about making my flight. It was a very nerve racking experience, made worse by the driver having to stop in Georgetown to clean the windshield wipers which were frozen, and allow people to use the restroom. Shortly after I booked the shuttle, days before my departure date, I received a text informing me the time could be changed due to weather conditions, so when I did not receive any notification of a change, I assumed the time they had assigned me was adequate. Over the years, I've had friends and family use CME, with no issue or complaint, however, my experience yesterday was terrible, with only sheer luck and no lines enabling me to make my flight. read more

I just had the worst experience with Colorado Mountain Express. I was given a total of four different and conflicting reasons why the driver rode right past me at he scheduled time, picking me up almost 30 minutes late, with 1/2 end of a seat to sit on for the entire trip to the mountains, since there wasn't even a spot for me once the driver finally came back to get me after my frantic calls to dispatch, which I made after the driver pulled by me and all my equipment at the Brown Palace in Denver and didn't even look my way or slow down. Then I found out this shuttle is not even taking me to where I'm going, but I have to change transport in Silverthorne. Totally ruined the start of what was to be a nice 4 days at Keystone. I'm totally dreading what might happen on my return trip but now I'm stuck having to get back. I can only hope it is better coming back. There has to be a better alternative for Denver residents trying to be "green" and ride share to get to the ski areas. read more

Avoid this shuttle if possible. Although seemingly the most cost and time efficient way to get to or from Vail Valley to Denver, unless the weather is absolutely perfect - allow more than four hours to get to the Denver airport from Vail valley. We used CME to get our family of five from DIA to Vail - the trip up, although long, because the driver allowed one of the 10 passengers on our van to wait online at the gas stop for a muffin and delay the entire van for 20 minutes, was uneventful. However, the return trips were disasters - two of my family members missed their flights because the driver stopped for approx. 20 minutes outside of Vail to let 2 passengers get off the shuttle to return to Vail. Had the driver not stopped and delayed the entire van, the van had a chance of getting the other 8 passengers to the airport and not missing their flights. Rebooking two new flights from Denver on New Years Day was extremely stressful and expensive. This happened again, on Sunday, 1/5/14, when another family member took CME from Vail. Although the weather really wasn't an issue, the shuttle took three and a half hours, and he was not allowed to board his flight. Had to rebook a very expensive flight on another airline. Using CME ended up costing us thousands of dollars in rebooked airline flights and contributed to a very stressful journey to and from Vail. read more

This is a delayed review because of the holidays, but I did not want to let the poor service slide. My 2 sons, nephew and a friend booked service from the Denver airport to Breckenridge on December 14, 2015. We paid a group rate for their transfer which we felt was a fair price. Their American airlines flight was extremely delayed because a flight attendant forgot to bring a safety manual on board. (We have already complained to American with no restitution) They sat on the ground 2.5 hours before takeoff. Hence they missed their connections in Charlotte. Two were able to get on a flight soon after arriving in Charlotte. The other two could not get one for three hours later. So they all missed the scheduled shuttle with CME from Denver airport to Breck. My son contacted CME to let them know the situation (before getting on the Charlotte flight) So two arrive in Denver around 2:00 and were told the next shuttle they could accommodate them on was at 8 pm. The company next to CME said that they could get my two sons on their next shuttle for $45 each (which my husband paid for) My son asked for a refund from CME and the manager denied them a refund - even though they could only offer them a shuttle 6 hrs later. IN ADDITION TO THIS.... CME charged us another $275 because the four did not travel together.....EVEN THOUGH two of our people did not even use the shuttle. Seriously! I have never experienced such poor customer service - except for airlines other than Southwest)! CME may have thought they were taking advantage of some young kids, but we travel twice a year from Florida to Ski Vail or Beaver Creek and use a private shuttle. CME will not be at the top of our list to call again for those! Shame on this company. read more
