Frightening customer service. Thought we had booked direct but went through a 3rd party. Arrived several hours early and given no earlier shuttles would have had to wait 2+ hours in the airport. Went to the counter, canceled, no partial or full refund even though a line of people waiting to take our spots. So they were paid twice and refused a partial or full refund. When explained they were now paid twice for the seats they quoted their company policy of not refunding ever. For 2 people, Uber and Lyft faster, private and less expensive. No reason ever to take them. Stick with Uber or Lyft, so much more expedient, better service, more comfortable and private for the same or less money. I opted to not rent a car this time from Denver to Breckenridge and looked at shuttles for the first time ever. I had booked online and seemed fairly easy and received a confirmation via text & email. The check in process was fine at the airport, but the porters are less than courteous, seem like hey have no clue and are rude. If you don't have many bags, they are useless other than walking you to the departure zone. We had a van full of 9 passengers and the driver was training for our route. One passenger jumped on last minute and she was the only person who had to stop for a coffee, making us late to pick up our ski rentals that closed at 6. We left the airport at 3:30 & should have easily made the 6:00 appointment in breck, even with a passenger drop off in keystone. The return trip with Andy was much smoother & he was great. We departed Breckenridge with 8 passengers and made it to the airport in 2 hours, even with weather conditions on the road. Very hit or miss. I would give 1 Star for departure and 4 stars for Andy. read more

This is the email I sent tonight: Someone should have called, texted and emailed me to let me know that my driver was canceling. It wasn't until I landed in Denver, waited for my bags and proactively called dispatch that I found out I had no ride. And by the way all the hotels are booked. And it's about 1 am. This is ridiculous. If you would have notified me as soon as the driver knew he couldn't take me, I may have had a chance at booking a hotel. I understand if weather conditions wouldn't have permitted us to drive to Breckenridge tonight. But not even attempting to tell me?? That's the part that has me baffled. Someone please call me as soon as possible to explain what time I will be picked up. I have called 20 hotels and they are all booked. So I have no idea how far out I will have to drive to get a hotel room. I will email you when I find a hotel to let you know where to pick me up in the morning. It's very irresponsible for you to put me in this position as a single woman traveling alone. Update: Called back this morning and spoke to a very rude supervisor named Addison. She was not apologetic for the mistakes made by her team in the least bit. She was sarcastic and did not employ any customer service best practices. This company needs better staff training. Fast, easy and affordable transportation service! My flight was delayed for one hour which put me very behind once I arrived to Denver. I was running through the airport as my ride was getting ready to leave. My driver called and waited for me to arrive at the correct pick up spot. This review is for CME from the Denver Airport to Keystone and back. We needed to find a way to get to our conference in Keystone, so we booked this shuttle service at the recommendation of the conference organizers. When we arrived at the airport early on the Monday morning, we waited for the CME desk to open and then checked in for our reservation. They took our bags and organized them on a cart, indicating that we could wait around the corner for the reservation time. Once all the passengers had checked in, they called out names for each shuttle and we followed an employee outside to our designated van. They loaded our luggage in the back and brought us to the conference location. Once we arrived in Keystone, the shuttle took everyone to the front desk to check in and then brought us straight to our condos at the resort. They helped us offload our luggage and explained that they would pick us up right in front of the door on the day of our return reservation. True to their word, the shuttle was waiting early on Friday morning and it brought all of us to a large luxury coach in a nearby parking lot. They transferred our luggage to the coach bus and we settled into our comfortable seats for the ride back to the airport. Everything was very organized from start to finish and the employees were great. I'm glad we booked with CME! read more

From the moment I called to inquire and make a reservation, I received exceptional service! Jackie helped my friend and I book next day shuttles from Vail to DEN airport and she was a pleasure to speak to. We felt like we made a new friend after the phone call. The shuttle arrived the next morning on time, and although I didn't get the driver's name, she got everyone to DEN safe and sound. I was pleasantly surprised that there was Free wifi in the shuttle, which was very nice on the long ride. I also noticed a sign on the window that said the vehicle was equipped with a drivecam for the safety of driver and passengers... interesting! We had an amazing experience with Epic Mountain Express...Wonderful and efficient drivers and coordination. I was travelling with my husband and 9 y/o son. Totally comfortable and overall smooth. All the staff members were friendly professional and cheerful. Noteworthy staff: Zeke and his supervisor at the Denver airport made the onboarding so smooth. *David Putnam drove us on Christmas Day to the airport and was wonderful! We booked through Beaver Creek Reservations...there was a communication issue from Beaver Creek to Epic when our flight was delayed...so best to communicate such changes with Epic directly, but upon arrival Epic Mountain Express was so graciously accommodating to try to get us on the next shuttle. Our bus did break down on the way, but Epic efficiently arranged for another bus in about 20 mins and transferred our luggage without issue. Wifi wasn't working on the rides, but no biggie as the scenery was great! We received texts for both trips from and to Denver and the service was otherwise on-time and excellent. For transport from Denver's airport to Beaver Creek, would definitely try Epic again. Recommended!! read more

If you're planning a ski trip in the Rockies and flying in/out of Denver, you're gonna need to drive 2-3 hours on the I-70 to get to the slopes. Instead of renting a car and dealing with whatever road hazards may arise, you give CME a call and let them drive you there instead! I've tried other shared car services, but these guys are the best game in town, hands down. From booking all the way to the airport pickup, service is friendly and professional. The last time I used them, my flight arrived early (imagine that!) and they had no problem putting me on earlier bus. Craig was my driver, was neatly uniformed, and happily helped me with my bags and skis. They offer free wifi onboard which is surprisingly useful since cell service drops frequently as you carve through the mountains. The shared van will drop you anywhere you want (Keystone, Breck, Vail, Beaver Creek,etc.), and they typically drop off in order of distance west from the airport. In addition to a shared van (cheapest option), Colorado Mountain Express also offers chartered cars, vans or SUVs. If you want to save a few bucks, you can pay CME $50 for a shared ride to the Frisco transfer center, the take a Summit Stage bus (either free or $2 depending on where you're going) to your ski town of choice. read more

CME has a monopoly on service from Denver Airport to Vail. Counter service and baggage handlers were friendly but created a mix up. My group was placed on the wrong van and they didn't realize it until all of our bags were already loaded. We were then squeezed onto another van that was already packed. It took the crew 15-20 minutes to sort out the cluster ____. Minimal apologies were made. The driver, Lucas, was stoic. If you want to swig beers on the 2-3 hour ride you must conceal it. A few people in the van were lectured on having open drinks in the van. A few hill billies were lectured on making racial jokes. $75-100 for a 1 way ride. At least there was free wifi. read more

Got off the plane and walked to get our luggage and there was a clearly marked spot for CME. I went over to check in and the hotel had booked us for a round trip from Denver (we flew in to Eagle and out of Denver), the lady at the desk was incredibly friendly and switched the reservation and credited my credit card for the difference. It took about 10 minutes to get a van, and we were the only passengers. It is a short ride to the resort, but the driver constantly spoke, and it was all about how slow it was, and how they depend on tips to make a living....a bit much for me. Anyway we were dropped off right at the front door of the hotel. On the way down to Denver - great Australian driver picked us up 4 hours before our flight....way too early...but it had snowed the night before and a bunch of flights were cancelled out of Eagle...so those people were re booked into our van. We were the first pickup, and sat in the second row of seats (there are three rows) and we went over to Vail to pick up some people who were re booked out of Denver. The van became VERY full.....there were 10 passengers and the driver. We stopped 1/2 way down the mountain, and it was a needed break. The weather and traffic were pretty bad at the top of the mountain, but got better the further we got down. We were the last drop off at AA, and I was happy to be out. The trip was not that bad, but really crowded. I would definitely fly out of Eagle next time, could have skied 1/2 a day. Total - $272.00 read more

It's hard to give 4 stars for a $70 ride to the airport that gets you into a van with 10 strangers when all you get in terms of tangible benefits is free wifi for the ride (assuming the Sprint cell service doesn't go out). For convenience factor (when we had to get from Vail to Denver last minute to catch our train... thanks Greyhound) CME rose to the occasion, however, and since they have a constant rotation going through Vail were able to accommodate 2 people, 2 snowboards and 2 suitcases without much fuss. Great customer service there. That being said, I haven't had any experiences with other shuttle companies and honestly would probably prefer to shop around a bit. read more

Made a reservation for our son from DIA to Vail for Tuesday Dec 20. Called 1 week prior around Dec 12 to change reservation 1 day forward to Dec 19 but could only reserve space from DIA to Frisco which we did. Checked tonight's ride this morning only to find out the destination was changed but not the date. Supervisor confirmed the change on the recorded line but now all seats are full this evening and other than a refund nothing they could do. We're now stuck driving almost 6 hours round trip due to agent error and not happy about it one bit! read more

THEN, my wife discovered that she left her purse back at the airport. Our driver Tom turned us around and called ahead to the team at the airport to assist in locating her purse. On the ground, Vinny was extremely helpful in navigating my wife through various security offices and lost & found. Success! In summary, the transportation service was great. I've used Colorado Mountain Express for the past 20 years ~ since 1997 ~ so you know where I'm going with this Agent Jill, who makes my reservation & greets me @ the CME Desk, has been there for 28 years. Drivers are very helpful & safety conscious. Vans are pretty new & comfortable. The last thing I want to do on vacation is drive & try to find parking spaces in the dark & possibly while the roads are covered. For $50 each way they provide safe door-to-door service Eagle-Vail to Beaver Creek. Can't beat it IMO. read more

On a recent week-long trip to the Denver and surrounding areas, my friends and I took this shuttle between the airport and Copper Mountain, and back. The service was easy to book and seemed very well-run and organized. Everyone we interacted with, e.g. drivers etc., was friendly and helpful. They do a pretty good job of emailing and texting you notifications to help with the meetup and coordination. The service ran about $60 per head per trip for us, and it was probably worth it given the uncertain nature of driving those mountain roads in January for a bunch of visiting Houstonians like ourselves. Our ride up the mountain was with a driver that was sub contracted. We had 2 close calls on the road simply due to the fact the driver was not paying attention to the road. Once we got to Beaver Creek a snow storm hit and closed the roads, which is not unusual. What was unusual was the fact our return trip down the mountain was canceled as they told us they had no room for us. They bumped us for someone else!! I am now struggling to rent cars to get us to the airport to try and make our flights. As I am writing this note I have been on hold for 1/2 and hour with the hope of receiving a refund for services not rendered. I will do my best to not use this company again for our travels to Colorado. read more

Easy to book but terrible service upon arriving. This is a shared shuttle but they don't have constant buses running. You're assigned a bus and then they wait for everyone assigned to that bus to arrive. We just waited for 40 minutes in the parking lot for a family to collect their luggage. Don't do this, you'll spend more time waiting to leave the airport than it actually takes to get a taxi for just a little more money. read more

It took over a hour to reach a representative to find out why the shuttle didn't show up. Had to use Uber. This is perhaps the worst service available. BE FOREWARNED NOT TO USE THEM. Better to rent a car. My situation was a delayed flight for which I needed two change departure times twice. On the second call they refused to accomodate (after doing so the first time) then refused to refund my money so I could make other arrangements. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor who simply hung up. I called back repeatedly until ANTHONY the supervisor gott on the phone. After arguing at length he changed the time after refusing a refund. If flights arec delayed thir policy is that they should accomodate. Anthony then got angry and hung up on me. Great service from a supervisor??! With airfares close to the same amount please fly or at a minimum dont use them. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

The drivers were safe that about all I can say good about this company. On the way to Breckenridge the shuttle driver went to far out of his way for one customer. Which in turn made the trip from Denver to the lodge at Breckenridge about 4 hours. Which is normally a 2 hour drive. Then on the way back after a great trip to Breckenridge the driver was late. Then we had to change vehicles twice. At one time I had to stand outside the vehicle in the cold for over 15 minutes, because we had to many people sitting in the car. We then had to pile into the 6 person car with 7 people. NOT SAFE. Then they dropped us off in downtown and we had to find our own way to the hotel snow and all. Another good note the price was right, but I guess thats not always a good thing. read more

OMG. Awesome customer service. Did not blink an eye when I needed to change my reservation for 4 down to 3 (granted I was about a week or two in advance) and still applied a promotional rate. Sent me a new reservation email and everything -- and then when I got to the airport a half hour early, they got us on a shuttle right away and we didn't have to wait an extra hour for our scheduled shuttle!!! They were quick, safe; took between 2-2.5 hrs from Denver International to Breckenridge. All the shuttles had wifi and the driver's were fun to chat with. This has to be the absolute worse shuttle service I have ever encountered. Not only were the 45 minutes late picking us up from the hotel, the driver had no idea where she was going. We made it to the Vail pass, and due to an unforeseen snow storm (which was obviously not their fault) We had to turn around and go back to our lodging to re-book our flights. The driver told us that we were able to reschedule our pick-up at any time, due to their round the clock pick up time. I confirmed this we her more than twice. Once we rescheduled our flights, we called CME and told them our flight time and they told us that that we would have to take the premier service and pay and extra $480 dollars to get their on time. No matter how much I tried to explain our situation, they simply said its "Just not our problem" read more

The most cost-efficient, reliable way to get to Vail is to fly into Denver's DIA, and take Colorado Mountain Express from the airport up into the mountains. CME has an extremely professional and helpful staff, their drivers are courteous and safe, and the vans are comfortable. Pick your bags up from your carousel, and make your way to the ground floor, near the fountain. CME's main desk is there, and their porters will take care of your bags from there as well. They'll load them on a cart, lead you to your indoor, heated, seated waiting area, and guide you to your shuttle van when it arrives. The vans always make a pit-stop 1/2 way up the mountain to go to the bathroom and get drinks. They have always been helpful getting Little Q's car seat in and out of the van (and have car seats available if you don't want to fly with yours). In the event that the road gets temporarily closed due to inclement weather, each van has a DVD player, and is loaded with DVDs as well. We've taken CME four times now, and each and every time it has been a great experience. The only reason they don't rate five stars is the bench seats. Bench seats are a tough call for two to three hours, especially after just getting off of a plane. But the beauty of not having to worry about driving up that road in snowy conditions is totally worth it. They'll drop you off at your hotel, and pick you directly up when it's time to go. It doesn't get easier, safer, or more reliable. If that doesn't convince you, consider this: average cost of overnight parking in Vail is $25 (there is no street parking). Coupled with the cost of renting a car, and the fact that there are free shuttles in Vail to get you everywhere you need to be, you'd be either an idiot or an egomaniac to insist on taking a car to Vail. read more

Our driver was very nice and helped us with our luggage. She was very safe and dropped us off right in front of our all of the passenger's specific airlines so they could go right to their check-in point. I have taken CME shuttle a countless amount of times over the years. I don't ask for much and don't mind being wedged between strangers. All I ask for is a quiet and safe ride. Last January I experienced total shuttle shit storm. Some psychotic woman. And I mean total psycho spent almost the entire Aspen to Denver ride (which is a crazy long ride in traffic if you are unfamiliar) complaining back and forth about it being too cold or too hot. To put icing on the cake she spent at LEAST two hours yelling on her cell phone, and I mean yelling, and further incessantly complaining about the WiFi not being fast enough, etc. The driver was a total rookie and didn't say anything to her. What he should have done is ask her to be quiet. As a passenger it shouldn't be my job to stand up for the rest of the shuttle passengers and have to tell someone a countless number of times to please be quiet. When we finally got to Denver the driver was the last person out of the van while we stood on the curb. Finally I opened up the trunk doors and started passing out bags to people. I grabbed my bag and started walking away and the driver had the tenacity to stick his hand out for a tip... ARE YOU JOKING ME! I just shook my head in silent disgust and walked away. I'm probably going to fly direct or rent a car from now on. Shelling out almost 300 bucks round trip for a shuttle should not equate awful service and an absolutely terrible ride. Definitely the easiest and most efficient way to get to Vail from DIA (having rented cars to get to Breckenridge and Aspen, I've tried the other option, and it's not that pretty). The smaller vans mean you have less waiting time for your accommodation drop off once in resort, and assuming you don't sit in the back row, it's a smooth ride (bar the I-70 potholes). Compared to other airport transfers I've taken in other parts of the world, CME definitely rates as one of the best. read more
