I got the patty melt. It was a bargain at 9.99. What I got didnt look terribly appetizing- the bun was seriously just an upside down regular bun. The burger itself had a nice crisp outside, had a slice of cheddar, sauteed onions and giardinera - so it looked a bit messy but the taste was better than the look of it. The person who took my order was very pleasant and they were helpful when I was looking for a seat with an outlet to charge my phone. I wasnt expecting much for this mall burger joint- but it was better than Id anticipated. read more

Had a great lunch at Epic Burger in Skokie! I went with the classic Epic Cheeseburger -- juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. My kids tried the Honey Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Epic Dog, and both were a hit. What makes this location even better is its spot -- right in front of the playground at Old Orchard. It's super convenient if you've got kids or just want to enjoy your food with some outdoor energy. Great food, great location. I also got to pay with inkind and earned some rewards! read more

Epic Burger - CLASSIC EPIC BURGER - Burgers Near Me - Skokie, Illinois

The Classic Epic burger is very tasty and it's definitely a smash burger. This is the fourth time coming here and they're very consistent with their service. I would get an extra Pattie to make it a triple, if you're really hungry. Perhaps even add an egg, to kick it up a notch. Afterwards, you can walk into Crate and Barrel and look at the furniture and stuff for the kitchen. Heck, walk the entire mall to burn off those calories!! :) read more

$5 off if you put your phone number into the tablet (new customer bonus). My friend asked for no sauce, had a ton of sauce. They offered to remake it, but she declined and then regretted it. My Bravo Chicken Sandwich was good. Sweet potato fries were crispy and well salted. Pretty empty on a weekday morning, but plenty of staff. read more

Their name does not match the quality of their food. The worst thinnest pattty, chicken fingers have no salt or flavor, tastes like boiled chicken, Fish sandwich no flavor too. Cashier is very rude , lack customer service . Restaurant is very tiny for dine in for large groups read more

One of the better Epic Burger locations, if you're already familiar with their food. Otherwise you'll probably like the food here. The burgers and fries are good; the service can be spotty at times. They have a weekly happy hour thing where certain menu items are half-priced for a few hours in the afternoon. My only real gripe about Epic is the ventilation is bad, and this place stinks like cooking oil. Don't come here unless you're not concerned with leaving, smelling like hamburger grease. read more

There's a lot of options when it comes to eating in Old Orchard, but if you're looking for something quick, casual and kid friendly this is a good option. There's also very few restaurants that all 3 of my kids will agree on, but Epic Burger seems to be a favorite among all. They tend to build their own burgers with things like eggs, bacon and even some veggies. The fries are also very tasty and they are big fans of the cookie and cream shakes as well. It's clearly not the healthiest of our meals, but everyone leaves with a smile. It's also conveniently located right next to the Old Orchard playground, which was super convenient when my kids were little. These days they are a little big for the playground and tend to like some of the fancier options at Old Orchard (Bar Siena and Hampton Social to name a few), but we do still come on occasion.....and order via DoorDash as well. read more

The service was excellent and the burgers are huge! The milk shake was really good! It had the right consistency, some other places, it's either too thick or too liquify! The fries were really good too! I forgot to take photo of the milk shake! read more

Chicken burger was delicious, I also grabbed a mini beef slider it had a sharp object it out. I informed staff, little older lady said she made it her self there was nothing in there even tho when I spit it out in a napkin she noticed. The rest of staff was nice and interior was semi clean. read more

Warning for those allergic to sesame seeds. Their Epic Sauce contains sesame seeds. We found that out the hard way and had an allergic reaction immediately after taking one bite of the burger. I have a picture of the ingredients label from the jar they use. Their website currently only states egg and soy as the allergens, so this is very misleading since sesame is not listed even when the FDA had required disclosure of it since 2023. Their website's comment box doesn't work and neither does the email address they list to send feedback to corporate! We are banning Epic Burger for this near fatal tragedy. Update: after getting their attention, they've been attentive towards my concerns, apologized, and addressed my complaints appropriately. I hope the changes Epic Burger intends to make to their website will provide more transparency for food allergy customers and in line with FDA requirements. read more

We came in on a weeknight dinner time. The staff at the counter was super helpful and very attentive and kind. We had a big order of 7 burgers, fries and shakes. We ordered a variety of burgers, the classic burger with triple patties, the cowboy burger with double patties and the chicken sandwich. We also tried the oreo, Nutella and strawberry shakes. The burgers were good and the triple burger patties is definitely a mouthful, much better eaten cut in half and even with one less patty. The fries here are tasty, we got the regular epic fries and not the Cajun but they do taste a bit like seasoned fries. Crispy and perfectly fried. A great experience for us especially thought the restaurant handled our large crowd/order. read more

My fiancé said this place was good after his last visit. The taste was good but proportions were very small for what you paid. My slider was just about the size of a quarter. It was smaller than the bun it came on. The epic sauce was barely on there. Cheese fries were good but not worth $6.99. read more

**HALAL MEAT** I usually don't leave reviews, but I tried to eat here. As someone who religiously does not eat Halal meat (meat sacrificed to Allah). I didn't realize the menu is almost all Halal meat. All the meat except the bacon and turkey is sacrificed to Allah. The menu online in most places and in person only states "Angus Beef", but if you look closely on the website and ask the workers they will tell you it is all Halal. Usually I do not mind and move on with my day, but it was not posted on the menu. I only figured out due to the Epic Burgers website. If you are Jewish, Messanic, or a Christian who follows the Old Testament dietary laws be careful eating here. The staff was kind and refunded us, but everyone should be made aware. That way they can make their own decisions. read more

Had to double share my review on Yelp and Google for their excellent service. I had a mix-up when ordering through Uber Eats I meant to place a pickup order at the Old Orchard location but accidentally selected another Epic Burger. Totally my fault for not double-checking, but the team at Old Orchard went above and beyond. They called the other location, confirmed the order, and graciously honored it on their end. The staff was kind, patient, and quick to help something that really stood out, especially in such a busy shopping center. Thanks to them, my lunch break turned into a stress-free and satisfying moment. I genuinely appreciated their effort and professionalism. This kind of customer service is rare and deserves to be recognized. Kudos to the team! read more

I ate here with a group of colleagues and everyone liked their food. My burger was tasty and they delivered what everyone ordered and hoped for - epic burgers!! I may try other items on the menu but this location is a little out of the way for me and not sure when I may get back. Tasty and cooked to order. read more

Solid burgers and fries for a fast casual restaurant. Hubby ordered the special which was a Jalapeno cheese bomb which was messy but delicious. I got the cowboy burger which was also very good. Fries were hot and fresh. Food was pretty great overall. The ambiance is...a little confusing. Slightly industrial including 2 large fridges/freezers in the dining area. But then also gilded framed classical prints of their food. But the really it's about the food here. A little pricier than other fast casual burger restaurants, everything is a la carte. It's nice to have another quick option within Old Orchard. read more

Epic's an a-ok burger joint. The dining space is quiet and chill and you can dine in peace as opposed to the hustle and bustle you might find at say a Shake Shack. This was with almost all the tables occupied by single diners on this day. The North Shore Restaurant Month deal of a BOGO on a menu item was the enticement that drew us in on this February day. You need to show them the deal on your mobile to prove that you know about it. Wife and I each got their classic Epic burger for $8.99 and also a "small" side of Epic fries for $2.99. The fries were a quite generous serving for the price (take that Shake Shack!) though they were on the salty side, but also tip top fresh. The Epic burger was juicy and tasty. We may return to try their Garden Veggie burger for grins. Epic Burger is a nice franchise to have around at Old Orchard mall. read more

We were waiting for our order for 40 minutes and we had to remind them to give us our food. all we ordered was a single burger and cheese fries. people before us got their food way before us and we were confused why our food was taking so long. Always wanted to try this place so had to try all three sandwiches and split with my dining companion. Each sandwich is made to order with the perfect toppings and accompaniments. I didn't get a picture of the waffle fries but they were not my favorite as they were thinly cut and a little too crispy for my liking. But I'm glad I tried it. The brioche bun really makes it. The burger was a little "stringy "for me but it satisfied my curiosity and taste buds. read more

I just don't trust their food prep and quality control practices anymore. Came with a few friends for a burger lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, avocado, and a side of fries, and it was over $13. It adds up! As I was eating, the food tasted decent, but in the back of my mind, I thought something about the beef patty wasn't 100% fresh. The kicker though is midway through the meal and ¾ of her way through her vanilla shake, my friend took a staple out of her mouth! No, she's not the next Harry Houdini. This came through the straw!! She immediately took it up to the register and got a new milkshake without any questions asked, but how in the world does this happen? Where would it even come from, when all that went into the shake was literally ice cream and milk? The manager was really apologetic and gave everyone in the party a voucher for a free milkshake in the future. Still... really concerning and puts into question what else is happening behind the counter if you ask me. read more

The only reason why I bookmarked Epic Burger, let alone considered it, was because of its Beyond Burger which was what I ordered along with one of their Big Fat Cookies during my initial ordering experience. Ever since becoming vegetarian I have been on a mission to try every plant-based meat substitute option I can. Epic Burger has Beyond tenders on their menu but being the fact that there were no pictures shown via Yelp I did not order them. Another gripe of mine is that there was no description about the tenders as far as whether they were plant-based or not. In time, I believe I will give them a try once I get a little more information about them. I ordered via Yelp with Grubhub delivery while on my work shift, which took no longer than 45 minutes from once Grubhub received my order to the arrival of it at my doorstep. With that I surely have no complaints. The Beyond Burger was satisfying as far as its size and taste! * chef's kiss *. It was so satisfying that I ordered it again the following day, along with Sweet Potato Fries which were not even in my bag after I ordered them, paying $3.59 extra! Unacceptable! And there was no note left or call informing me that the fries would be absent. In closing, other than the absence of my Sweet Potato Fries which I had hoped to try, I enjoyed everything else: the Beyond Burger, and the Big Fat Cookie. In the meantime, if I ever order from Epic Burger online again, I will be cautious of ordering because that is just foul! ~Blessings~   Thomas G read more

This was my first time here and I must admit that I really liked their burger. I had the classic epic burger and every bite was delicious. Maybe it was the brioche bun? Maybe it was the meat? Maybe it was the onions? Whatever it was it was good. I also had their strawberry shake which went perfectly with the meal. Fries came with the meal but my son ate all of mine so my assumption is they were good enough for the picky eater. I will definitely come back and eat here again! read more

Great service fast and good food. Very nice and they have a sauce machine really cool

Nothing to go out of your way for but nonetheless hands down the better burger at Old Orchard Mall. Juicy pressed patties and fresh ingredients made for a satisfying meal, scratching the burger itch we all got while shopping. Food came out hot and fast. Chicken tenders were mediocre, stick to the burger. Our order of fries was generous and fresh - a large was more than enough for three adults. 4* mall food court burger - while we're not going to be driving out specifically for Epic Burger, this is the burger to get if you're at Old Orchard. read more

Food was mediocre and didn't taste fresh but the worst part was the terrible service and dirty restaurant. My order took forever and they kept service everyone who came after me. Food didn't taste right so I just threw it out. Was better off at Shake Shack or Culvers. read more

Juicy -almost too messy- burgers and great crispy garlic Parmesan fries. I would recommend.

I came back here to redeem a reward and should have known better. The service is always terrible. Today it was Arisbeth at the counter and my daughter and I came in and she was counting coins at the register. No acknowledgment for some time. She finally looked up and I asked her politely if I could order? Her blank look and nod I guess meant yes. I'm ordered and I told her I had a reward and she scanned my app and nothing came up and she seemed put out by that. I tried to show her that I had a reward by showing her my phone and she flinched when I tried to show her. She then asked me for my phone number. She was rude and terse. I gave her a 10% tip and I'm return she Gaga be a look of disdain and no number for my order. If I hadn't been close to the counter the poor gentleman would have had to search for me to bring our order. My kids love the food and shakes and the service just turns me off. We'll be going to the other burger establishment at the old orchard mall, less superior food but much better service. read more

I've had epic burger before and decided to drop on by when we didn't want to cook because of the super hot weather... The location is great because it's right by the kids play area. The basic epic burger is a pretty decent size, and they griddle cook the burger with the edges nice and crispy. I liked the little bits that flaked off as it was a crunchy treat. The fries were fresh potato cut fries which I like very much - though a bit over salted for my taste. I prefer unsalted myself - maybe I need to request that specifically. I was a bit disgruntled though when they served me my meal with grease slathered on the fry bag. The bun was quite great as well. I think it might be because of the butter they use to toast the buns, but I thought it was excessive grease and unappealing obviously. At least take the time to change out the fry bag or better yet, just serve the fries without the bag since it was served along side on the platter anyway. Just wish they would take some care on presentation -just can't serve it looking like the fries bag fell onto the griddle. read more

Probably wait like ten minutes at a empty desk until I could order, the pop cup was smaller the a pop can. Fries good but unsalted. But the burger was a disappointment, the special sauce is so strong seems like they are trying to hide something. Over all meh, happy hour prices. Maybe a plus.
