They could make you do the whole 25 years. Second they stated Fair Mark Value at 5 years. Well its not the value of just hardware - it states "This valuation will take into account the System's age, location, conditions, size, and other market characteristics such as equipment type, service costs, and value of electricity in your area, and any applicable incentives" which means what this could have produced. I honestly feel this company is not being forthright - I would stay away from them.

Issue reared it's ugly head once again, and again South Face Solar came out within days of the leak appearing, they isolated the issue, had to cut drywall out of roof, they pressured washed area, reinstalled new links around solar panel legs to prevent leaking and are taking care of the entire issue/problem/cost. Drywall cleanup/repairs. It is amazing to have companies to trust, stand behind their projects and looking to do the right thing. The solar industry has become a racket and most companies contracted with are not the installers, in fact they don't know a lot about the process/needs, South Face Solar does. An Advosy employee came to our door today. He walked past a no solicitation sign and ignored a…read moresecond sign stating to not knock on the door by knocking on the window instead. My fiance came to the door and was very nice (proof on ring video camera) as the "not-a-salesman" talked about how the government is pushing clean energy and he isn't selling anything, just sharing a report. My fiance told him we are not interested in solar and he agreed saying he would never recommend buying solar (again, proof on camera). He asked if it was because of having to lease and having liens on the house. My fiance told him we are trying to work and we are not interested and asked him to leave (still recording on ring camera). The guy continues to talk about how there is a new government program where you don't pay for panels. My fiance said "no thank you" and closed the door. The guy continues to knock on the window saying "excuse me" (ring camera still rolling). I came to the door and repeated that we are working from home, we have clear signage that we don't want to be disturbed and asked him to leave. He. Kept. Talking. My fiance said we would call the police if he didn't leave and the guy laughed as I closed the door. He then stood on our porch shouting profanities. Saying my fiance was a rude a*****e and we were f*****g miserable people (again, ring camera is still rolling). I came out of the house at this point telling him to leave and stop harassing us. He walked to the sidewalk and continued to berate me with name calling and profanity while also pointing out that he is no longer on our property so he can do as he pleases. At the risk of being repetitive, I'll say the ring camera is STILL recording. We called the police but he left before they arrived, shouting the same nonsense over his shoulder as he walked down the street. The police advised that after being asked to leave, continuing to knock was illegal trespass. They also advised that claiming he isn't selling anything while also representing a for-profit company in hopes of sharing info that will result in a sale is still considered solicitation. What is it with solar companies and their complete lack of respect for boundaries? How do you think that ignoring my clearly posted signage and interrupting my workday will make me want to trust you or hire you? Then to go above and beyond with profanity and name calling? Absolutely deplorable business.

I called and discussed my needs which was to remove my current solar system for a reroofing job, then to reinstall it. The folks I worked with at Solar Topps were patient and understanding. Even better, their quote was the most competitive! I really like the way it felt like I was speaking with a local business as opposed to some giant corporate owned behemoth looking to swallow my money. Once I agreed to move forward, a start date was discussed and the crew showed up right on time. The crew was very professional, VERY busy and each day they cleaned up after themselves. My solar panels (75) were stacked on pallets like they were new, with great care. My roof was completed and the time came for the solar system to be reinstalled. Again the crew was timely, professional and cleaned up EVERY DAY when done. Now for why Solar Topps should be your first choice for your solar needs - All new hardware was used to put up the panels. During the process, it was noted that the wiring for the system was not up to date and in need of improvement. Solar Topps took extra time to reconfigure the wiring to bring it up to 2026 standards. The system is only 5 years old. Also, while in the process of getting the three system inverters back online after performing firmware updates (something they didn't have to do, but did because they truly care about doing the job right), one of the inverters refused to cooperate and it refused to come back online. Neil the Engineer spent almost three hours working to recover the inverter's function and finally succeeded. He saved me over $1000, where he could have given up and sold me a replacement inverter! The original installer never told me that the inverter's performance are visible via an app, so I could monitor their function. Neil pointed out that this function is available and got everything set up for me and directed me to the app so I could sign up and log in. So not only did Solar Topps complete the job, they improved the performance of my system, updated the firmware of my inverters and brought the wiring up to 2026 standards.....all for the original price for the job!!! I am a retired Service Manager for Rolls Royce Motorcars. The dealer where I worked was in Manhattan, New York. My clientele were all very discerning consumers (A list Actors, Musicians and Designers & more) that won't settle for anything less than the best. He's been responsive and has done his best to communicate my concerns to customer service. However, my experience with customer service after the sale has been disappointing. After my second set of solar panels and Tesla batteries was installed, I received a false heat alarm from the sensor mounted above my four Tesla batteries. I reported the issue and was scheduled for service on July 14. In the meantime, I had a mini-split installed in my garage. After that installation, my Tesla solar app began acting abnormally. Solar Topps was aware of both the heat alarm and my concerns about the system before my July 14 appointment. I wasn't asking them to fix the HVAC installation--I simply wanted them to verify that the Tesla programming and configuration were still correct and that nothing had been affected during the mini-split installation. On the morning of my scheduled appointment, I was informed that it had been rescheduled to July 17 without my approval. I immediately responded by text, email, and phone to explain that I could not make July 17 because I had already taken time off work for July 14 and had planned my day around the appointment. Despite that, they would not keep the original appointment. I was also disappointed that they declined to inspect the software or system programming, stating only that Tesla said nothing was wrong. As a customer who has invested a significant amount of money in this system, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for confirmation that everything is still configured correctly. The installation quality deserves credit, and Sean deserves recognition for his professionalism. Unfortunately, my post-installation customer service experience has left me feeling that once the sale is complete, customer support is much less responsive. I hope Solar Topps improves how they handle existing customers because good service after the installation is just as important as the installation itself.
