Then in about 4 weeks, seeing the finished product and trying it on, knowing that it is exactly what you designed with him, is so exciting. The quality of the materials is first rate, and Burgan is so knowledgeable about styles, color, and fit that you can't go wrong. I've worked with other custom tailors before, and Burgan is the best. I was always thinking that a custom suit would cost thousands. Boy was I wrong. For the same price as an ill fitting off the rack suit, Burgan can create a one of a kind garment that is made exactly for you. After wearing one of his creations, you will never want to wear anything else. Don't be intimidated by the choices you have. Burgan will lead you through each option, from choosing the fabric, the lining material, lapel style, selecting buttons, and even offering splashes of color that you might not normally select. He has a great eye and will help you through each option. If you really want to have fun and be creative, consider designing a sport coat and slacks! Then in about four weeks you will be notified to schedule a fitting. Usually the new garment will fit perfectly with no alterations needed. If you do need an alteration, it will be minor and might even be completed while you wait. I had a jacket that needed the front buttons lowered by 1/8 inch and I was able to have that done in 5 minutes while I waited. I know, that is such a slight alteration, but Burgan wants to make sure that everything fits impeccably. The true testament is how you feel wearing your new garment. I think the Enzo experience can be boiled down to my first suit fitting: I walked out of the dressing room and felt like a suit had never fit me better. I could have walked out the store right then. But Jared pointed out that there was a slight fold/crease on my upper back, and he wanted to take care of it. There were no pressure sales tactics and gave me an honest breakdown of the variety of fabrics and suit/tuxedo options offered. - Before my fitting I took considerable time to identify the specifications I wanted for the tuxedo, and provided Burgan with a list of specifics that some other tailors have balked at. He not only met every request on the specifications but also provided honest feedback on details that actually turned out better than the options I have become used to wearing for tuxedos. It's rare to have a tailor that understands how to balance what you want and what will look good on you when providing advice. - The fitting itself was great. Enzo Custom Clothier was a great experience for creating my custom tuxedo. Burgan did a fantastic job of listening to what I wanted even though my suggestions and alterations strayed from the norm on many details. The communication was great and open. My main suggestion for people looking to go to Enzo is to meet with Burgan and go over what you want exactly so they can let you know what exactly they offer and can do. For instance- I really wanted a very small lapel on the shawl collar style, but they have a limit to how thin they can go- but in the end the lapel looked fine. I received my tuxedo but we had to send the pants back to get belt loops added (another informal thing I wanted done) Enzo quickly took care of it, but by the time I got the pants back I didn't have too much time to get them adjusted any more (wedding approaching). I like my pants to fit tight in the calf and they did when I got them from Enzo, but I went ahead and took them to my local tailor for a rush job just to get them right where I wanted. Despite the minor things listed above, I couldn't have been more happy about the customer service and the quality of the Tuxedo. It was definitely worth the investment. All my life, I've struggled to find suits and other clothing that fits -- truly fits. I'm short and stocky. Department stores simply do not cater to guys with body types like mine. An upcoming special event put me in a panic. I needed to find a suit that fits. Enzo to the rescue. I made an appointment and went in. Burgan was my designer/consultant. What a genius! He is talented, knowledgeable, and a really nice guy. He's honest when it comes to choosing fabrics and details, and will tell you what he thinks will work best for you. And, he's right. The choices we made together created a beautiful suit that fit, quite literally, like it was made to fit me and my body. When I went in for my follow-up to try on my new suit, it fit perfectly. No adjustments needed. Not one. It was perfect. For such incredible, customized, individualized service, you might expect to pay a fortune -- and you will if you go someplace like Nordstrom; they gave me a $3000 and up quote for a similar experience (and even then, they were pushing me to a design that I didn't like). At Enzo, I got a top tier suit (that I wanted), and a first class experience, for a third of that price (and that included an extra pair of trousers since I routinely wear out the trousers first). I can't say enough good things about Enzo, or about Burgan. Since meeting Burgan, I've purchased three suits (after the first one, it's really easy because he keeps your measurements on file). To order another suit, you basically meet with him for 15 minutes and pick out fabric. It's actually fun. Hard to fit, or if you just hate the whole department store experience, go see Burgan. This place is outstanding. This was my first custom suit and I couldn't be happier with the style, fit, and quality. I am extremely picky about how clothes fit, and Burgan nailed the fit the first time around. During the measurement process he actually noticed that my right shoulder slopes slightly more than the left, which is probably why so many of my off-fhe-rack dress shirts and suits feel tight in my right armpit. I definitely don't have that problem with my Enzo suit. Burgan is extremely helpful with all of the options that are available but does not try to upsell you. Got a bit higher quality fabric too and the suit and when it was on me during the wedding really stuck out in a very good way. In my mind, Enzo Custom is the real-life version of the men's shop in the movie Kingsman. At one point the brilliant lead tailor, Burgan, and I, even had a discussion about brogues! I discovered Enzo while looking for a place to buy a tuxedo for my wedding. Other places in the area did not appear to offer the level of service I was anticipating for such an important and meaningful purchase. My fiancé and I knew from the moment we met Burgan that we were in the absolute best place for our needs. He developed a very cordial and professional rapport with us, and did not "push" a single product on me. He also did not prod for unnecessary personal information. When selecting custom details for my aforementioned tuxedo, it got to the point where we were pulling up pictures of Casino Royale era James Bond on my phone so we could nail the look. I forget the specific measurements that Burgan took to ensure a proper and custom fit, but they were vast and above my level of knowledge. He is truly a master at his craft. And when I tried on my tuxedo, it looked so damned outstanding that I immediately asked Burgan to make me a jacket and some pairs of slacks. And the same exact thing happened after trying on the jacket and slacks... I am currently waiting on yet another jacket to be made. The cost is probably higher than what you typically pay off the rack at a department store. But in my opinion the cost is inconsequential because the VALUE is incomparably higher. I did an enormous amount of research before scheduling an appointment with Enzo. Here are some of the highlights from my experience: 1. Experience: I had one custom suit made as well as a custom shirt. I worked with Romeo. Enzo has a wide range of fabrics and materials. Romeo took the time to discuss what options were available to meet, and outlined the benefits and drawbacks of various wools. The folks that work here are true professionals--they have years of industry experience, and clearly know what they are talking about. For those of you who lack experience in understanding the intricacies of different wools and how they impact a final product, the folks at Enzo are well equipped to discuss the options with you. I was really impressed by Romeo's honestly. At no point did Romeo try to up-charge me or push me towards an option that I did not need or want. He was respectful of the budget that I was working with, and found ways to ensure I was drawing the most value out of my experience. These guys can be trusted, they are clearly looking at creating a long-term relationship with their clients, and it's something that I place considerable value to. Enzo sizes you and they do any alterations in-house. This complete experience is one reason you should select Enzo over other services, like Suitsupply. 2. Value: I found the prices to be very fair and consistent with other made to measure services on the market. Enzo is clearly ahead of options like Suitsupply in this respect. Romeo ran through the fabric options that Enzo had (excellent wools, by the way), and gave me an indication of which wools would be the best value for my dollar.
