Very friendly staff, planes are clean tgey use to be American Eagle still owned by American, but service is much better.

I've been flying Southwest Airlines for 31years. I loved this airline and they were my "go to"…read morebased on how they differentiated themselves from other airlines. They did things differently with open seating, and we loved it. It was fun, edgy, rogue....and the flight teams' great attitudes complemented it well. That differentiation has been intentionally removed by corporate leadership, and your new process, frankly, stinks. I've flown twice in your new process: the boarding takes much longer, and there is no difference for Southwest from any other airline. It's not the flight team. The folks I saw were doing their best. Why? You out-thought yourselves and sanitized away a great experience. The only reason this isn't "1" star is because the good people of your airline are doing their best to make do with leadership's bad choices.

Call me crazy, but I connected thru DEN flying from San Diego to Charleston in January.  Usually, I…read morefly United through DEN, but this time I was on SWA.  The plane change went smoothly, with on-time arrival and departure.  When I reached CHS, however, my checked bag didn't -- it was sent to Baltimore! The Baggage Service agent in CHS was pleasant and helpful.  My best baggage service experience ever.  She located my bag at BWI, had it put on the next flight to CHS, and arranged for it to be delivered to me the next morning.  I received it at 7:45.

There were no other customers on line, so when I stepped upon the line and exclaimed "Who wants me?" all three in concert were very willing and verbally expressed this, in addition, two also signaled with accelerated hand gestures. Do you ever have the feeling that if you didn't have a moment to read the fine print upon a last minute booking, that your gonna get screwed somehow? I do, I always do -- but this expeience removed me from Planet Jaded for now. Three airline attendants were there for our comfort and saftey upon the midsized Boeing jet. They wheeled snacks and toted blankies and pillows, fielding continual questions while doing so, never stopping for a moment for themselves. We beat the Charleston Air Show to the air by sixteen minutes and arrived in Kennedy thirty minutes early..!!

I had a nasty flight attendant from Charlottesville to west Palm beach which American Airlines called to apologize. Which was nice..But today I had a nasty man who checked me in at ticketing. I asked if he could put my luggage on the scale as I had hurt my back earlier. He responded with pack lighter. I purposely paid for first class (not easily affordable for me) so I could get extra help. If I had not dipped into my savings for easy travel, perhaps I wouldn't be surprised.

Terrible service with late/no communication. Still sitting and waiting to get off the flight that…read moreshould have been here four and a half hours ago. First they changed the gate. Then they kept changing the boarding time, no announcements. After my husband noticed that the plane wasn't even at the gate, they finally announced it was in the hangar and they were waiting for it to be towed to the gate. When it finally got there we boarded and sat. And sat. And sat. Finally a food truck rolled up to restock the plane. No announcement about that. Brattiest spoiled tickets ever screaming two seats up - parents even less competent than American. Finally took off. Landed in Charleston - but then had to wait for a gate assignment. Never again! Fly Delta!

I got there on time or within 5 min of time. 4.5 stars for that…read more I got there with little or no turbulence (not going to rate this because beyond their control) but ok for us. A small bit. I didn't check my bags so no rating. There was enough storage overhead. I saw some people sitting way in back who had to put their luggage 10 rows before them though. But Everyone got their bags on ok. I had no Karens on my flight. No crying babies. Yay. I had one annoying person playing a game though bring bring bring every two seconds. Eventually someone complained and the person turned down the volume. I am only giving it three stars because I have four legs (two going and two coming) and all FOUR times, I could NOT hear the flight attendants. Nothing they said. They talked toooo fast (four time, four different people all of them trained to talk super fast????) the speaker system is not good? I guess they don't have to work anymore. They pass out ear buds and go with a drink cart on an hour flight? Ridiculous. If people need something as they are dying of thirst they can ask. I don't think you need a drink on an hour flight. Same as always, I am mystified why the back of the planes are never boarded first. Having to walk and bump people 30 rows? Annoying! I get it, you want your first class to feel special. Along with the other EIGHT classes of people they board. If you are not sky miles, comfort plus, first class, business class, gold star, military, disabled, with kids/strollers, and a couple more classes (platinum plus, platinum lol) you are stuck there forever. But as for me, I'd APPRECIATE sitting in the terminal longer than on a crowded disease inflicted claustrophobic plane? But hey charge you 100 or 1000 extra for 2" of leg room or seat width and boarding so early you have to sit there bored out of your skull must be alluring. I will never get that! Anyway, three stars because the flight attendants are not good. They need to speak LOUDER and SLOW DOWN.

Every flight was late. Yes every flight for my entire round trip. The connecting flights all of them. They also provided only water or coffee on the early flights (a soda would have been nice), well at least my flight. They are also very expensive for the comfort+ seating compared to a few years ago. Every flight was also overbooked or either filled to the max from people who had cancelled flights. There is more I could say but I am hoping this was a fluke week of traveling but if it keeps like this, I/ will start checking out other airlines. The positive was that the flight attendants and employees were polite and helpful.

(see attached) hmmm... does that mean something?...Maybe your level of service has taken a nose dive. Alaska Airlines management, take note and maybe work on setting up your employees up for success? I understand safety is first but you need to be civil to your customers and meet your agreed upon obligations as an airline to stay in business in my opinion. I am a family man, Veteran and worked internationally in the past. I have flown many airlines over the past several decades and my recent flight from Washington State to South Carolina on Alaska Airlines was the craziest and most frustrating flight I have ever been a part of even though I landed pretty close to on-time. I have had flights cancelled, redirected and turned around mid flight. Oh and baggage was late and the carrousel was not announced anywhere I could find. I took the time to get the extra 2500 points for late baggage to baggage claim though most passengers did not since the line was long. My flight story: To start, a plane swap caused passenger bumping, with no notice to those that got bumped until last minute before boarding. The person in front of us was taking her husband on his last vacation since he had stage 4 cancer and was pleading with the counter person to get a seat on the plane. I also encountered seat confusion upon entering the plane, rude and inattentive flight attendants and confusion with pre-purchased snacks on what seemed to be an extra noisy 737. Hmmm... Sure seems to me that leadership of this company has lost touch if they are ok with this. Conclusion: I did leave a complaint on their web site and I received an automated message that stated it will take 7-10 days for any response due to a high volume of comments. Hmmm...maybe if they brought their level of service back to an acceptable level they wouldn't get so many comments. ps. either high stronger flight attendants or make your device carts more reasonable to push up and down the aisle. The flight attendants did not look like they were having an easy time moving that thing around!
