I am so happy I discovered Gourmet Corner. Even in the culturally diverse Bay Area, it can be…read moresurprisingly difficult to find authentic French ingredients without driving long distances. Gourmet Corner makes it easy to enjoy real French food at home. They offer an impressive selection of French products, including sausages, charcuterie, salami, cheeses, wines, chocolates, cookies, and many other specialty items. The prices are very reasonable, and the ordering process is simple. After ordering online, I chose to pick up my order at their Campbell location. The process was simple and hassle-free. I recently purchased Raclette cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it is the best Raclette I have found in the Bay Area. Today I picked up Boudin Noir along with some French sweets, and I am looking forward to trying them. What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and flexible. They went out of their way to help, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. For first-time visitors picking up an order at the Campbell location, the pickup location can be a little tricky to find. Look for the large building with the American Barbell gym at the entrance. Facing the building, there is a small entrance on the far right side with designated pickup parking spaces. Once you arrive, call to let them know you're there, and they will bring your order out to your car. One helpful tip: wine shipments arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays, while many of the other food items are typically kept in stock. After your order is confirmed, pickup is often available without having to wait specifically for those delivery days. I also learned that Gourmet Corner regularly participates in local farmers' markets throughout the Bay Area. It's always nice to support a small business that brings authentic French products directly to the community and helps people discover the flavors of France close to home. If you love French food, French culture, or simply want to recreate an authentic French meal at home, I highly recommend Gourmet Corner. Shopping here feels like stepping into a French gourmet market without leaving California. I'll definitely be ordering again very soon!

They admitted they only caught the error because I contacted them. When I said I'd still keep the order and wait, they cancelled and refunded it anyway without asking. Then came the texts: I should find another Bordier vendor because they're "obviously not up to your customer service experience standard," followed by "There's nothing more I can do. Feel free to leave bad reviews." (Screenshot attached.) The refund was quick and there were plenty of apologies, but cancelling against my explicit wishes and then telling me to shop elsewhere was the worst customer-service experience I've had with a specialty food shop.

I'm not biased either--I simply appreciate quality, authenticity, and hospitality, and this café delivers on all three. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The service is warm, genuine, and reminds me of the hospitality you experience in Turkey itself. The food feels like breakfast away from home, with every detail thoughtfully prepared. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. One of my favorite things about this place is that it's more than just a café. They also have a small market stocked with Turkish essentials, making it easy to pick up treats for guests, ingredients for dinner, or a few favorite snacks to take home. They offer Turkish delight, baklava, ice cream, and a carefully selected variety of products that are perfect for everyday needs. A friend introduced me to this café, and I've returned many times since. In fact, after a disappointing experience at another Turkish café in Burlingame, where both the service and quality of the breakfast left much to be desired, I found myself coming straight here afterward. I paid for my meal there, packed it up, and immediately drove here because I knew I'd leave satisfied. Marrying into a Turkish family has given me a deep appreciation for authentic Turkish breakfast, and I can confidently say this place gets it right. The potato börek tasted exactly like the one my in-laws make. For a moment, I felt like I was back in Turkey all over again. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and they've done a wonderful job transforming what I remember as primarily a market into a thriving café and market combination. It's clear that a lot of love and hard work went into creating this space. I'm genuinely happy for their success and will continue bringing friends and family here. It has become my go-to spot whenever I want authentic Turkish food, great service, and a little taste of home. I truly cannot recommend this place enough.

You order at the counter, grab any open table if you're dining in, and they'll call your name when your food is ready. There are several tables available for customers who want to eat there. The middle of the store has a nice selection of Hawaiian snacks to browse, while the refrigerator along the opposite wall is stocked with drinks and a few side dishes, including kimchi, available for purchase. On this visit, we ordered the Shoyu Ahi Bowl with greens, the Hawaiian Style Ahi Bowl with greens, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage plate. The Kalua Pork & Cabbage was the standout. It came with macaroni salad and rice, the portion was generous, the pork was tender, and the cabbage was soft, well-seasoned, and tasty. The ahi itself had a great texture and tasted fresh. However, both the Shoyu Ahi and Hawaiian Style Ahi bowls were already well-marinated, and the greens were dressed with the same sweet soy based sauce. The combination made the bowls a bit too salty and sauce heavy, which overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. By the time we finished our bowls, we found ourselves reaching for coconut water to help balance the saltiness. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean, the staff was efficient, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage was definitely worth ordering. I just wish the ahi bowls had a lighter touch with the sauce so the freshness of the fish could really shine. We'd be happy to come back and try some of the other menu items. :)

The pantry and snack items can be pricey but, hey, they traveled far to be here for you. They've got Zippy's in the fridge! Li Hing powder and Li Hing Mui, good signs of a connection to the Islands. Their hot lunch boxes are not to be missed, including their selection of Musubi's on the right wall as you enter. Take a glance at the menu on the wall, put in your order, pay, and wait. There's some nice seating set up inside across the space. Otherwise seems more of a take out place. Lunch boxes come w/rice, Mac salad. Kahlua Pork had some cabbage cradling the smoky pork. Ordered to go: KAHLUA PORK - loved the smoky flavors, a tad dry but really appreciated it was not overly salty like a lot of Kahlua Pork offerings. The pickled onions was especially a nice touch, and contrast to the smoky pork. The Mac salad was creamy, fresh but was missing something. I'd order this again for the Kahlua Pork and pickled onions alone. LOCO MOCO - ubiquitous beef patties, over rice, luscious gravy, topped with sunny side up eggs. My go-to fav whenever I see Loco Moco! This LOCO MOCO did not disappoint in flavors and taste but I could go with more, yes!, more of their delicious gravy! Maybe w/additional gravy on the side. DIAMOND HEAD GENERAL STORE will see a return visit to try their MOCHIKO CHICKEN, GARLIC SHRIMP, FURIKAKE MAHI, CRAB INARIS, MUSUBIS, CRACK FRIES, and their famous SHAVED ICE! See you there!

The ingredients were all measured out for us. I appreciate the instructor taking the time to explain food science (e.g why European butter has a higher fat percentage/melts more easily when contact is made with skin, why we refrigerate dough). However, I do feel like there was a lot of time spent explaining this when we could have been working on making the croissant. I'd prefer if we just got succinct instructions and got sent on our way while fun facts about croissants and how different ingredients interact with one another are told to us. I've taken a baking class at Sur La Table where there are TVs placed around each perspective, so everyone can watch as the instructor works on her dish instead of awkwardly huddling around the table craning to get a peek at the proper technique. When I made my croissant at home, they were perfectly buttery and flaky. Baking Arts also printed out PDF instructions for us to take home. As for the selection of baking goods, I noticed a lot of novelty tools that caught my interest! They have a decent selection of food dyes and edible glitter/pearls that are perfect for decorating cakes and baking with.
