Foot traffic for a Sunday was quite brisk. Like most used-media type places, this one is heavily dependent on what they get in, with exceedingly little new stuff, but even hitters like Wal-Mart can't be bothered, so no shame there, I suppose. Being in a mall, it is slightly more expensive, but the selection is quite solid. I found a couple very deep titles on my wish list and was pleased that I was able to ferret those out. This is almost worth dealing with the atrocious parking lot situation to visit, though I probably won't for quite some time again. I think my favorite thing is the layout, which is outstanding. Just well-done all around and if they had more of the newer release titles, I might be just tempted to push this up a star.

A good chunk of their catalog rotates fairly often and some rare finds make their way around the shelves too. They also provide disk resurfacing services. I've brought up all my GameCube Games over the last year or so and they're so helpful and quick! And in the event that a disc is too damaged, they'll show you exactly what is happening and still let you choose whether or not you want to proceed. The transparency here is extremely appreciated. Something as simple as me wanting to know more about how they fixed another customer's PS5 HDMI port and they showed me everything I needed to know and also gave me tips and tricks for if I ever needed to do it myself. Overall, this place is very welcoming, and I've never had a bad experience thus far. If you are looking to expand your collection, check this place out!

I got my PS5 back only to find out, they cleaned it but told me it still won't work, and then I plugged it in to get my movie out and found out they stole the movie and never gave it back to me, so now I have an empty case, I lost 60 dollars for nothing, and they stole my movie. The employee was very insistent on me buying the console today which was a little off-putting. It felt more like the guy that came in only cared about making money which didn't really sit right with me. I get it's a business but he didn't really act professional. The guy who helped me at the register was nice though. Lastly, most of their product is VERY overpriced with a few exceptions.

So when I visited Utah recently to attend my oldest daughter's wedding, my honey-do-list included a trip to Gamestop to search for the requested Pokemon. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything new or different. Rooster's, on the other hand, had no less than 6 Pokemon that neither girl had. When I called the Mrs for confirmation, the word I got was, "They want this one, and that one, and how about that one, too." The staff was fantastic. It makes it a lot easier to walk around the shop to look at games. Another thing I noticed was that they were playing gaming music. It just made the shopping experience that much more fun. The last change I noticed was that they had some of their arcade games for sale...and they sold the ninja turtles one! They still have plenty of fun ones to play though! My husband and I played two quick games and then I bought me a switch game to play at home. I really love this shop. It brings back so many childhood memories! I'm definitely going to keep supporting it.

Not sure how I missed this place before, but definitely glad I found it now. This is somewhat…read morenon-descript and organization seems to be something of an issue, but there is a collectible doll area, a Star Wars section (and plenty of related stuff in other areas as well), a Lego area, a more or less "science fiction-y" area, a car area, which is also where most of the Transformers, DC and Marvel stuff seems to also generally be located. I should back that right up. When I say "stuff" in the preceding passages, I mean specifically toys. "Stuff" is not a good word to use here, as this is a collectible shop in the more traditional sense, with posters and lunchboxes and various other non-toy items as well. As I said about EntertainMart in Ogden, this is the kind of place one could easily spend hours. Here it is probably more leaning towards enjoyment than necessity, but it is very easy to miss thing with the sort of haphazard way a lot of the goods are laid out. There is certainly quite a lot of inventory in a relatively small space, so that's probably not helping things, either, but a re-organization would be useful here. Definitely should be on your radar if you're on the toy collector side or if you're in the area and you have younger kids for whom you don't want to spend buckets of money for new toys. Appeal is probably somewhat limited outside of those two factions, though...

I walked in to one customer and one employee, the employee off the bat looked visibly annoyed by my presence but given the fact he was sorting through things, and I'm also sure that he has a lot of people like this come in without much knowledge about cards in general, knowing this I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, but then I gave him my cards to look through and I didn't expect much at all and if not I would've just given him the cards and left but he just had his attitude and annoyance that overtook it seemed, he told me he would just give these cards to kids. I tried stacking them all nicely to not make is such a hassle for them to look thru before leaving my home and all I could find was this Velcro wrapping on the floor before leaving in a rush, he later made an observation about it jokingly saying "it was interesting". It was actually a bit funny but I'm not really sure why he'd say that. At the end of it he just tossed my stuff on the counter didn't say anything to me, and talked to the other customer as the customer was asking a question but no thank you or have a nice day. Just overall a very awkward and bad first impression

There is a good mix of vintage and new to thumb through. Highly recommend for crate diggers. There are some real gems to find and not just a lot of unrecognizable, dilapidated records from your great uncle's garage. The staff is super helpful if you're looking for something in particular. They also have the capability of ordering and shipping for selections not on hand. It is refreshing to see vinyl make a comeback, the store was packed with people and everyone had at least one record to buy. We live about 50 miles away and we will make special trips to Ogden just to shop at Lavendar.
