The ungraded higher end books, however, were sort of scattered about the store, on various walls, or even stacked (unstoppable) in a glass case. The back room ha 25 or so long boxes to look through. A note on the prices of the raw books: WAY over market. I mean, astronomically so. Prime example, Daredevil #181 in NM is a $5-15 book all day. This store had it at $55. That's just one example. I've never Said to a store owner/employee "how on earth are you pricing these?!" But I did today. The owners wife? Was super sweet though, and took my complaining in stride. I bought all of two comics unfortunately, but I was looking to spend far far more. I would come back, if only to score a nice CGC book or three.

There is also a solid selection of action figures, including some older ones, so worth a look in that respect. Prices are also excellent, which gives it the push I was thinking from 3.5 stars, but this would be something I'd look into only occasionally, as it's debatable how worth the fight to get in during the limited hours is. For me, this will be something I'll check in maybe 2 or 3 times a year...

They also have "retro" toys, posters, and games (video, card, and board). They have tables set up in the back because I think they have tournaments. At the least they play card and board games. We've met a few different employees here and all of them have been amazing people with a wealth of knowledge! This is why my husband and I like supporting this small business.

The girl behind the counter said yeah they just keep going up. I later went Gamers Asylum and played in their tournament for $42, got the same Pre-Release pack, but I got to play to win even more packs. This shop charged me double, and didn't even offer a tournament. I feel like this place just stole $80 from me. What an embarrassment for a store. I'm going to tell everyone I know to avoid this place. I hope they go out of buisness.

Honestly walking in, it looked like a normal book store until she walked me to the back. Walking through the gate door is where the view changes. I was in awwww! How cool is the set up of this place. I had no clue it was a 2 leveled book store. It was neat looking at the lower level. The shelves prettily speckled with color cause of all the books. I was able to look at all the old school historical books when we were walking in and out. How neat to have so much history on your shelves! We were in a time schedule so I wasn't able to really dig into them. I have seen some pretty neat places while I'm here in SLC for a bit. I'm happy I got to add this book store to that neat list. We actually found this place unexpectedly right after parking the car in the nearby parking garage and my LTP, who enjoys collecting comic books, wanted to pop in and see what they had here. If you're a comic book nerd, then this is the place for you. They have a lot of awesome stuff in here. All their comic book selections that they have available are in boxes located in the back of the store and are listed in alphabetic order for easy browsing. They also have comic books that are permanently sealed and can't be opened. When I was little, I was a huge, huge fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics, and seeing some of those here brought me back to my childhood. Along with comic books, they also have puzzles, trading cards, board games, and a collection of the world's smallest things, like the world's smallest Godzilla and the world's smallest Barbie doll. They had the world's smallest Magic 8 ball as well and I tested one while it was in the package. It was so small that I couldn't read the text after I shook it. We love working on puzzles in our free time and we would've bought one if we weren't working on one back at home right now. This was a cool place to step into. Very spacious and lots to choose from, you could spend hours and hours in here.

I'm an oldies/60's/classic rock kind of girl (always have been, never cared for modern music) so…read morequite obviously when we visited SLC we had to hit up some antique stores, because I'm a hippie at heart and love collecting old things. Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!

Some vendors had unique goods, but honestly, most of them looked like they were simply reselling clothes they bought from thrift stores. It would've been great if I would've found an old Utah shirt, but I wasn't able to find one. I did get this super cute vest for $5! Critical- Again, most of the clothes looked like they were just bought from a thrift store to be resold. Many prices weren't marked on racks. And cash only entrance, so I had to pull money out of the ATM, which costed me more than the $3 admission fee.

LIke everything else here, this area is changing, and the flea moved about two years ago. When I visited the location at the Gateway, it didn't even seem like the same market. First, they charge an admission fee. Everything is also very spread out among the gateway buildings and outside areas. Many more booths with clothing that was more flea and less vintagey. Hardly any really unique booths. A few of the older vendors you might recognize, but the vibe is just very different.

Unfortunately, the only thing they had left was mint -- they had run out of everything else. Even though I couldn't get most of what I wanted, everyone inside was very friendly and welcoming. The store itself was nice, but the vegetable area outside was a bit disappointing -- the ground was dirty and wet, which got my clothes and shoes messy. The value of the plant was really good. I'm glad I was able to find at least one thing I needed, and I'll try to come earlier next year in hopes they have more in stock.

This locally owned plant nursery will blow your socks off. They have the nicest staff. Desiree spent over an hour with us, helping us choose our plants, talking to us about our selections and helping us pot them. The cost of everything is SO affordable and is better quality than anything I've ever found elsewhere. Check out their classes and stop by to see them!

The set up is similar to an indoor flee market. They have many cute things and it could be dangerous for me to spend too much time looking through all the booths, since I may just buy everything I see. I bought an item from one of the booth owners through social media advertising, and we met at the store. She let me browse through everything to see what all the latest displays were. The Christmas theme was prominent throughout, but there were plenty of other vintage items. I'm partial to anything with dogs, and they have many many items, big and small, that I could fall in love with. I would recommend everyone to stop in, when they are in the area.

I walked in to one customer and one employee, the employee off the bat looked visibly annoyed by my presence but given the fact he was sorting through things, and I'm also sure that he has a lot of people like this come in without much knowledge about cards in general, knowing this I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, but then I gave him my cards to look through and I didn't expect much at all and if not I would've just given him the cards and left but he just had his attitude and annoyance that overtook it seemed, he told me he would just give these cards to kids. I tried stacking them all nicely to not make is such a hassle for them to look thru before leaving my home and all I could find was this Velcro wrapping on the floor before leaving in a rush, he later made an observation about it jokingly saying "it was interesting". It was actually a bit funny but I'm not really sure why he'd say that. At the end of it he just tossed my stuff on the counter didn't say anything to me, and talked to the other customer as the customer was asking a question but no thank you or have a nice day. Just overall a very awkward and bad first impression

It makes it a lot easier to walk around the shop to look at games. Another thing I noticed was that they were playing gaming music. It just made the shopping experience that much more fun. The last change I noticed was that they had some of their arcade games for sale...and they sold the ninja turtles one! They still have plenty of fun ones to play though! My husband and I played two quick games and then I bought me a switch game to play at home. I really love this shop. It brings back so many childhood memories! I'm definitely going to keep supporting it.
