There are some real gems to find and not just a lot of unrecognizable, dilapidated records from your great uncle's garage. The staff is super helpful if you're looking for something in particular. They also have the capability of ordering and shipping for selections not on hand. It is refreshing to see vinyl make a comeback, the store was packed with people and everyone had at least one record to buy. We live about 50 miles away and we will make special trips to Ogden just to shop at Lavendar.

A good chunk of their catalog rotates fairly often and some rare finds make their way around the shelves too. They also provide disk resurfacing services. I've brought up all my GameCube Games over the last year or so and they're so helpful and quick! And in the event that a disc is too damaged, they'll show you exactly what is happening and still let you choose whether or not you want to proceed. The transparency here is extremely appreciated. Something as simple as me wanting to know more about how they fixed another customer's PS5 HDMI port and they showed me everything I needed to know and also gave me tips and tricks for if I ever needed to do it myself. The owner Rand is so cool and I was able to snag a nice Paul Simon record at a great price! He was enjoying music as we walked in, so this man knows good music. Don't forget to check out the upstairs part of the shop, there are some really cute clothing pieces like quilted overalls, sweaters, and the like, as well as some vintage items. Floor to ceiling shelves, stuffed-and I mean stuffed-full of inventory. Clothing, dishes, trinkets, toys, hardware, art, you name it, they've got it. There's a certain "smell" in the place that even lends the it's authenticity. It's a cross between the basement in grandma's house and the old shed out back. Sadly, when I visited, I didn't get there early enough to properly browse through all the goodies, but I got a good enough glimpse to tell me that I want to go back. One item of note, that I'm not sure how to feel about...there was a collection of hat pins, one with a swastikas design. I understand that it is history, and technically an antique, but it did make me feel a little icky. As soon as we walked in the front doors, he was bouncing around the store like a pinball :) He ended up finding so many books he wanted and even unexpectedly stumbled upon a signed copy of a Michael Vey book! He was so excited! I thought it was so neat that they had those. Barnes & Noble isn't just books. They had toys, legos, games, and even some apparel. If you get thirsty, they have a Starbucks inside to quench your thirst! If you ever need help locating an item, the employees are always happy to help. Just ask and they can usually find it for you or give you an idea on where to look. I've had nothing but great experiences here. We love Barnes & Noble!

Please give me a break.. she must think the customers are pretty stupid to fall for her out in out lie. The staff are friendly, and I've had some friendly chats with other customers as well. It is a fun place to commune over our shared interest of music. There is plenty of new and used vinyl, and they even have a decent cassette and CD selection. Bright lighting and some good background music make it easy to find things and lose track of time. So when I visited Utah recently to attend my oldest daughter's wedding, my honey-do-list included a trip to Gamestop to search for the requested Pokemon. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything new or different. Rooster's, on the other hand, had no less than 6 Pokemon that neither girl had. When I called the Mrs for confirmation, the word I got was, "They want this one, and that one, and how about that one, too." The staff was fantastic. The prices very reasonable for rarer Pokemon dolls. Thanks again Rooster's!!!

Talked to the guy at the register and they said they had the console I was looking for but when I…read morewent in, I had to wait for some other guy to try to pry the back of the display off. I guess they couldn't get the case open, so now I gotta come back another day to try and get it and I don't think it's worth the hassle. The employee was very insistent on me buying the console today which was a little off-putting. It felt more like the guy that came in only cared about making money which didn't really sit right with me. I get it's a business but he didn't really act professional. The guy who helped me at the register was nice though. Lastly, most of their product is VERY overpriced with a few exceptions.
