So ... I live over 170 mi from this business. I've been…read moreconsidering the purchase of a Kubota Tractor for my 1 acre mountain home for several years. I've used another brand for some time. I wanted a Kubota. The "local" Kubota dealer (40 mi away) was my 1st stop. I gave them my parameters and my budget. Over 2 months they gave me quotes that were too high and not close to what I wanted. They weren't truthful with me and tried to only sell me what THEY had in their stock. I was driving north on Inst 5 with my wife, discussing my frustration when she said, "... well, are they the only Kubota dealer?" On a whim, she Googled Kubota dealers near me. Up popped Nor Cal Tractor Sales ... (these guys are all part of the same company) ... in Redding CA and they were 10 mi ahead and right off the highway. We walked in, dressed for "Lake Time" and their sales rep (Kris B) was immediately accommodating. I told him my saga and what I had been looking for. Model numbers etc. That's where I learned I'd been misdirected. Kris pointed out the models I was asking about were older and no longer available. They didn't even have them in their rental fleet any longer. Then he showed me the new model ... the one the other guy told was so new they couldn't even get one for 6 mos. ... he had 4 of them. I had given him my budget already, remember? He came in $4k under!!! Then ... cherry on top ... he delivered it for $200!!!

Boy were we shocked at the bill! 980$ ! ! ! FOR A SERVICE! That's just oil filters lube and checking lug nuts. 225$ pre hour in labor which came to 675$. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. Shame on them for price gouging.

I recently rented a truck for a move from Redding to Sacramento. The day of the move, I woke up…read moreearly to have everything ready to load. Through friends I had lined up a few strong men to help me load the truck on their lunch hours. We had agreed to meet at my apartment at noon. I arrived at the Budget office just before 11:30 to pick up reserved truck. (My reservation had been for 11:00). I was told outright that they did not have the number of blankets that I had requested and paid for when making my reservation online. They only had about half. Then I was told that the truck wasn't on location, but at the airport office. They had brought two other trucks from the airport that morning, but mine wasn't one of them. I told the employee that I had to meet the movers at noon and she said offhandedly, "oh you'll make it". I had to ride with another employee to pick up the truck at the airport. When we arrived to the airport location, I asked her if the blankets were in the truck and she replied that they were back at the Churn Creek office and that I could pick them up. Again, no apologies, no concern for the inconvenience. The windshield of the truck was filthy. Seems like a stupid detail, but not when it's difficult to see out of and you're driving a large truck which you are not accustomed to. What should have been a simple, stress-free pickup turned into an awful experience. I was trying to call the movers while driving to let them know I would be late. I had to stop by a gas station to wash the windshield. After dropping the truck off at my apartment so that the movers could begin loading (as they were doing me a favor on their lunch breaks) I had to take my car to drive across town and pick up the blankets. By the time I returned it was 12:50. Most of my beautiful bedroom furniture had already been loaded (w/o pads/blankets). Of note, when I went back to the Churn Creek office to get the blankets that they forgot to give me, again no one seemed the least bit concerned or apologetic that the whole pick-up was plagued with poor customer service.
