This location can get BUSY--like "Black Friday at Best Buy" busy. If you want the exact car class you reserved, be that person who shows up right when the clock strikes. Otherwise... well, you might end up test-driving destiny (a.k.a. whatever's left on the lot). They mentioned a few cars were out of service, but honestly, the fleet is solid--new, clean, and way better than some of the "mystery box" rentals I've seen elsewhere. Yes, I got downgraded at first (cue the tiny violin ), but they swapped me into the right ride as promised. Respect. Enterprise is still five stars in my book. Even compared to Turo, they just get it right. Now, about the branch manager--absolute legend. Sweet, spunky, and with the vibe of someone who could charm a grizzly bear into doing yoga. ‍ I swear Enterprise turned 100 pounds of gold into a human and put her in charge. Saw her flip frowns faster than a pancake on Sunday morning. The rest of the staff? Same energy: professional, respectful, but with enough personality that you actually enjoy the process. The representative did NOT asked to check the car for dents and scratches, did not tell us the gas level on the vehicle and other actions that we are used to when renting a car. As soon as we drove out the minivan we noticed the following items: 1) The gas tank was nearly empty with the warning light on. The representative noted on the contract that the tank was 1/2 way full 2) The mileage that the car shows 58,271 is not the ODO reading that your representative noted on the contract. He stated that the minivan has 58,625 3) The dashboard of the car was filthy to say the list and the glove compartment full of liquid stains 4) The car has a strong dog smell, and the entire carpet and seats are full of hair 5) The car is missing the 3rd row seating 6) The exterior of the car is disgusting from bumper to bumper 7) Food crumbs (animal and human) on all the carpeting of the car and under the seats. 8) Cup holders full of liquid stains and food crumbs 9) Door panelling full of stains/could be dog drool 10) At the time the car was picked up it was raining and the windshield wipers were not cleaning at all 11) The renter's date of birth was incorrectly entered on the contract I am providing pictures as evidence that this is not at any degree an exaggeration. I also have videos to support everything I went through this morning at this location. But this was not only the only issue. When I asked to speak to a manager, the person I asked told me that he was the manager (Garriy Neyman) I explained to Garriy what my frustration was with the whole process I went through to rent a car to which he responded, "you were in a hurry". I explained that being in a hurry does not justify in any circumstance the poor quality of service and product of a company such as Enterprise. Garriy then said that I was screaming complaining and waked away. The least he could do in this situation is ease the bad experience by suggesting to clean the car for me or even offer another car. I then informed Garryi that I would be calling Enterprise's Cutstomer Service to complain to what he responded, "you do whatever you have to do". After calling your Customer Service desk at 855-266-9289 and opening a complain case, I was told that a regional manager would be calling me but at this point I am yet to receive a call. I called again to inquire about how to cancel the service and I was instructed to just leave the car there and return the keys and take a taxi (spent $27) since the whole experience became extremely hostile and was instructed to call the credit card company used for this rental and dispute the charges. But this experience and the service provided by this branch did not only ruin my plans and my wife's for today, but we had to book a new reservation and go with a different company to rent the car we needed for the week. This disgraceful customer service experience has me here typing this complain that I am intending to post on social media and other Web outlets such as Yelp, Google, Travelocity, etc... Garriy Neyman should NOT be representing your company to promote a successful business practice. I typically have good experiences with Enterprise but I would avoid this branch. I was involved in a rear end collision where my car was totaled and insurance was paying for my rental. My insurance said they would also pay for a damage waiver. When checking out the car, the guy was having an issue adding the damage waiver and asked me to call my claims adjuster to confirm that it would be covered by insurance, which she did. She also emailed them confirmation as well. Shortly after the rental, they reached out to me to get my claims adjuster's information and I provided it to them. A month passes and I suddenly notice a mysterious charge for about $250 on my credit card. Instead of reaching out to me or the claims adjuster, they just charged me $250 despite receiving confirmation on several occasions that it was covered by my insurance. read more

I was sent here by the Enterprise road side assistance to have my car switched. The Lodi office was going to give me a car covered in scratches and dents. The interior had stains and a broken floor board. They initially refused to even document the damage. I am highly upset about my treatment with this company. First off, the guy that works here is completely rude, racist, and disrespectful. He wanted to double charge us for a vehicle we've had rented for 3 months after our car was flooded by the hurricane. A car with no floor mats, there's a hole in the floor and there's a horrible smell in that car. The car started jumping on us and we almost got into an accident and there's "no car" to swap us out too. I'm appalled by this treatment and by the horrendous words that came out of this man's mouth towards us. He went into the car and took out the keys from the ignition and left me in the location without being able to go to work. I was not expecting the outcome when the body shop called me 3 days later and told me the rest of the estimated damage under the hood. As I drove it in. I never expected to hear it was a total loss the insurance company Just paid it off and I came out with ZERO. I reached out to Enterprise and spoke with Mario I was beyond upset and felt helpless. When we went to pick it up the agent said they don't have anything available and trying to give us a Premium SUV for more price whereas they had a Mini Van in the lot. When i asked why you guys confirmed and their answer is that Enterprise Website will default send an email confirmation and we will try to arrange the car which doesn't make any sense. I've come to this location a number of times when I've had to get work done on my car. It's conveniently located and I've never had any issues with them. As others have said, the car selection isn't large. But the cars are always clean and the staff is friendly. Terrible, aweful, horrible, crappy service I originally had a reservation made by the insurance company. Called to find out the deposit hold amount I needed to ensure I had it, I was told $50-$100 max. I decided on another auto body so on 2/11/22 I contacted Lodi and requested they transfer the reservation. I contacted to make sure the deposit hold was the same amount. Went to pick up the car on 2/22/2022 and the reservation was switched over on that morning, meaning I had to leave a deposit hold of $300 which I did not have. Called Lodi to find out more detail and the guy on was rude and annoyed I was even asking on what date it was transfered. He did not want to be bothered to assist me. read more

WOW!!! Another company that genuinely cares about their customer, consumer. My car had to get repaired, and the insurance company paid for my car rental. Enterprise Rent-A-Car picked me up from BMW, and took exceptional care of me from start to finish. When Sky (my car) was ready for pick-up; I was not able to get there in time to drop off the rental car because they close at 6pm. BWM close at 8pm, and I was told by Enterprise..."Oh, just drop it off at BMW, no problem, we'll pick it up." WOW, that's stellar customer service. Which is the key to ANY Corporate company staying afloat. Daah!!! Like Chase, Amazon, BMW, Best Buys, and of course Enterprise Rent A Car. This was a decent Enterprise. I used a coupon, and I think I got about 10% off and ended up getting a Ford Focus. The Focus treated me relatively well and I was able to drop off the vehicle about 3 nights later when I finally got back from Washington D.C. So some pros about this place: To me, they were a friendly staff. Very friendly to me, went through the process pretty easily, and I was able to negotiate a little bit due to the fact of the lack of what they had available when I tried to order the car online. Easy to bring back - just bring back the car on the night before or the morning of and just drop off the key. Location - right on Rt 46 so I took my bus, got dropped off at the stop and immediately got to the place within a two-minute walk from the bus-stop. The cons: I didn't think the selection was that varied. All they had was a Ford Focus and while the guy was nice, he didn't point everything to me - he was like, "Pick one! This is the first time we've had all these cars here in a long time!" I mean, all I saw were large cars and SUVs and I wasn't looking for anything large. There were also a few coupes, but I am not in the business of making my lady uncomfortable in order to save a couple of dollars. Another con was somewhat of a con - the price. I think if I did more thorough research of each of these places nearby that I probably would have found something with a slightly better price - perhaps another 5-10 dollars less per day. The car - while the Focus treated me well and had enough space, I had to put air in the tire on the way back home! Plus, the other Focus that I could have rented (it was a hatchback) was out on display but needed an oil change. He almost gave it to me needing an oil change. Those guys need to have their cars maintained and ready to be rented. I wouldn't call the next thing a con per-say, but something to keep in mind. These guys working in the Enterprise are pretty friendly to each other - kind of informal actually. I personally didn't mind it but to future customers, I would keep that in mind. So because of the service, the location, ease of use and willingness to negotiate a bit, I give this place a three. Make sure you get those coupons prior to the reservation and keep in mind the friendliness of the staff and this experience should be a serviceable one. read more

Had to have a car repaired nearby for several days that was involved in a 100% no fault accident to me. The other person's insurer was paying for the car in its entirety, and the rental. For some odd reason although the repair shop said the car should be ready in 5 days Enterprise gave me almost a 1-month allowance. This held up $874 on my credit card. Fortunately for me it isn't an issue but could be for some. Someone picked me up from their office to go pick up a car. Got the car. I've never rented a car before. Near the end of our conversation. The person asked me if I wanted additional insurance. I accepted liability and damage @ $16.99 and $12.81. Didn't realize it till after the fact, but if you have personal coverage on your vehicle, and the rental is used only for personal use not business my insurance would have covered the insurance had I had a problem. Now 4 days later the car is ready, and I'm stuck with a bill for near $120 + for nothing. Would have been nice if the person told me the details. I'm disappointed. Let this serve as a helpful hint before renting a vehicle check with your insurance carrier. Enterprise isn't very forthcoming. This is one of the worst Rent-a-Car spots in Bergen County. The woman assistant manager who works here has an attitude problem and has no business working in customer service. She was more than willing to leave my 70 year old disabled veteran father stranded at the location because she said she wasn't going to rent a car to him. Tried to call management on numerous occasions about this horrendous customer service issue and was told every time that the manager wasn't in and I would receive a call back from them at a later date but never did. I even called the corporate office to try to get a response and was told that they would reach out to the location to have someone called me, but never did. If you're a fellow veteran like myself or my father stay away from this location. Especially if your an older disabled veteran, because it seems like they have no problem leaving you their with no car and an "oh well." This review is overdue. Yes, 5 stars despite past problems I had with past offices (Wallington and Elmwood Park). I have been an Enterprise customer for 20 + years, even bought vehicles from them. I must say, however, that I have NEVER been advised of a loyalty program from any of the offices. SMH. Christmas Eve at 12:30 pm my car came down with a LOUD and grinding noise. Because we had a lot of driving planned for the holiday, I was not going to drive it, especially with family members and gifts in the car (we drive to the shore where the rest of the family is). I needed a rental fast. Other offices no longer had cars, so I called Lodi at 1 pm. They had "some", and even picked me up at the garage. By the time we arrived at the Enterprise location, there was a VW hatchback available. I was told it just came back and had to be cleaned but it was what I really needed. When I got into it it was clean and ready to go. I took it for the space ( both hubs & brother are tall and there were gifts, plants, and wine we had to pack) and was on my way within 20 minutes. Long story short: this office really came through for me & my family at a time when rentals were hard to find, and the rental process was quick and easy. I was not rushed because they were closing early. Everyone took their time to help. I'm also sure they were happy to still close on time since the rental process went smoothly (early close for the holiday). The return was just as easy. No overcharging (like Wallington) and no made up damages (like Elmwood Park). They restored my faith in Enterprise, and the professionalism they displayed was outstanding. I was put on the DO NOT RENT LIST because 2 employees don't like the fact that I know more about the policy then they do and refused to be lied to on more than one occasion. The roll over since Raya the original branch manager I dealt with was terminated has been laughable... The new manager is unprofessional as is his sidekick VJAY this guy has managed to be the lasting holdover from all managers??? Yet he charged my CC incorrectly and when asked took offense? Beware!! The friendly smiles and warm welcome at this location is definitely deceiving. I'm still waiting to resolve the overcharges on my credit card (almost two hundred dollars) and the gas charge which they claim is a toll charge yet I used my ez-pass the entire rental. They also have not resolved the ez-pass usage on my account after leaving the ez-pass in the car rental. I've called every day for the last 16 days and I am still waiting for their call back and promise of a resolution. I even went in person the day after I dropped the vehicle off and they couldn't locate my ez-pass. The manager Eric continued to tell me each day that he would reach out to the service station to pick up the ez-pass-pass but that never occurred. The vehicle broke down during my rental and Bradley was extremly pleasant and helpful with options to resolve the matter and Eric provided me with an extension courtesy. Then I was charged for the extension courtesy(which is the overcharge I am disputing). I was also assured by Eric that the ez-pass would be returned to me on two specific dates due to the vehicle being repaired. Eric never went to the service station, nor did he call to see if they have my ez-pass. It turns out the vehicle came back from the repair center, and they rented the vehicle with my ez-pass in the car after Eric told me it was impossible that I had charges because the vehicle was still in the repair center. I began to discuss the matter with John, the other store manager but I received the same results, NO RESULTS. In fact, he was not even pleasant to deal with. The last communication between him and I, resulted in him hanging up on me. Beautiful smiles, poor conflict resolution, poor follow up, poor follow through, poor customer service and poor reliability. His prep guy did not show up that morning and he rushed through the check out ... When I pointed to some of the chipped paint he remarked "Oh don't worry about that" I informed enterprise that I would not be paying for the pre-existing damage and their response was to send me to collections while it is not cost effective I have retained an attorney ..I rather pay them the 700 dollars than pay for damage I am not responsible for... I went to rent a car today due to an unfortunate situation at this location recommended by the body shop. It is a new location next to Pep Boy's Auto. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although there were really no cars available at the location due to many accidents over the weekend because of the rain, it seems like they were keeping the schedule pretty tight with returned vehicles. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and no time wasted. Only complain that I have is that the car was not washed, the interior was not even vaccumed, and it smelled pretty bad. I would have waited for another car but this was the cheapest ($30 a day, discount applied, new Kia Rio all manual.. yup I have not had to roll-down the window in a very long time). I would not have paid this much normally but it was my luck that I needed a car right away. So beggars cannot be choosers, right? I ended up cleaning the car when I got home, sprayed Febreeze, wiped the steering wheel with disinfectant wipes and put some cologne. I should charge them for my hard work. Trsition is smooth and easy. Everything was meet my need(substitute car for repair). However, the car was heavily scratch and 20000+ miles usage. The price is expensive because they bill me by calendar. In general, if you picked up in the morning and return next day morning. It should bill only one day. By far the hardest location to rent from. I should have known with all the complications leading up to me getting the car! I returned back to Hackensack and there was a huge error made by Lodi involving insurance companies and my card being charged when it was NOT supposed to be charged! It was the insurance company they had on file. Lodi disregarded the notes on the account, failed to contact the insurance company, rather charged my car. The person I spoke to in this location was stumbling on his words, and quoting the price of the car I rented! It had NOTHING to do with the error. Never did he apologize, rather blame this on me and say if I would have returned it where I got it from this would not be a problem. They why promote I can pick up and drop off anywhere? (I asked him) and he insulted me asking if the extra 8 min would have been that terrible. That's by far the rudest thing to say, let alone to someone dealing with a no fault car accident! I called and made a reservation for a 3pm pick up 10 mins before I was suppose to pick up a car they told me they did not have any standard size car available. I upgraded to a small jeep which was not a big deal. When I returned the car 2 days later I was asked if I needed a ride. I said yes to a neighboring town. I was told they could not drop me off because there is a Enterprise in that town and I should have rented a car from that location. I informed the manager that they did not have any vehicles that why I picked this location. He stuck the same script then continued to look at his computer screen. Helped me out with all the necessary information and made sure we were aware of all the bells and whistles of the car. I recently had a very unsatisfactory experience with this enterprise location. It started when I returned my car. I returned my car on a Thursday. On Sunday I realized I left my sunglasses in a specific place in the car. I called first thing Monday morning and told them about it. Now I am aware that it is my responsibility to take my belongings out when I return the car however in this case I feel enterprise did nothing to help me recover them. I assume the car gets a quick cleaning after being turned in. If so the sunglasses should have turned up and I should have been called. This did not happen. They said they would contact the new renter and I called daily for a week and they said they could not reach him. I never received a call back even though I was promised every time that they would update me. I went back to the location and they said the car was being turned back in and they would call me. Nope. No call. After 10 plus days I gave up. So to recap apparently no effort was made to recover my $200 sunglasses or at least to update me on their attempt to recover them. I emailed the regional corporate office and was told someone was looking into it immediately and they would call me the same day. Yeah that never happened either and that was a week ago. So to summarize please make sure you don't leave anything behind when you return your car b/c this location won't do jack to help you get it back. And their employee who cleans the car probably has a lot of nice stuff. read more

I was blamed for a small crack on the bottom the bumper on passenger side. Oscar never showed me the bumper when I picked up the car, so of course I'm not going to see it. The manager Mo wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying and instead was accusing me of also putting a screw on the bumper as well. Turns out the other side of the bumper has a screw too. I made an online reservation on 9/27/16 for 10/5 for the least expensive compact car since I am paying out of pocket. The Lodi location is convenient....they have an office right at Missouli's Auto body on Rt. 46 and I need to have the hood of my car painted due to rust. So I get there yesterday and the only vehicle they have available is an extremely large SUV that I knew I would not be comfortable driving. After some back and forth with me getting extremely agitated I decided to take my own car back and try this again today. Mind you, I asked them to drive me to work and then bring me a car but they wouldn't do that. So today they have a 4 door, with an interior that stinks from stale cigarette smoke. Can't you clean these cars???? By the way Alfie the manager who I only spoke to on the phone is useless. Enterprise please explain why you have the nerve to rent something so disgusting.
