Worst car rental company ever. My car was damaged there, in their customer parking spot, due to a parking stop rebar sticking up by 8 inches or so. It tore my bumper cover up. This was after telling me to come in only to find out that they didn't have a truck or van that would work. When I went in to speak to Augie to show him the damage, he asked to send pictures. I sent the pictures and tried to reach him by phone. Totally blew me off. Never heard back. Went to Budget down the street and got treated better. Now I must pay for the repairs !! read more

Shady business. I usually rent from the branch on monterey but this branch called saying the other location was backed up and I would get faster service here. Picked up the car later than agreed so was told I could drop off a little later at the Monterey location. Returned the car an hour after closing (2:00 on Sunday) and was charged a full day plus 1-2 gallons of gas I was short after filling up. I had to call the branch multiple times to find out what the extra charge was and Charles said he wasnt sure and he would call and figure it out with the other branch. He never did that. I had to call back and forth many times to get any answers. Then Charles stopped answering the phone after seeing my number and pretending he was the manger and getting caught in lies. Enterprise corp said the branch could reverse the charge but they refused. I would have kept the rental had I known I would be charged any way. If they were honest from the start I could care less about the $120. read more

Mike charged us for an extra day. He was scratching and seemed very twitchy. Not sure if he has a medical condition or a drug issue. He hung up on us when we tried to come to a solution regarding the money stolen me with little to 0 verbal communication. Just lazy managerial practices and lack of people skills. Count your days Michael! I will not rest until you have been relieved of your position. Will continue to post negative reviews from all of my family members yelp accounts who have also all had terrible experience at this location until this company has made this right. read more

Charged for damage to the tires on the left side of the vehicle. Not done while I had the car and when I turned in the car the guy said there's little splits in the front and rear tires on the left side I couldn't see them from a standing position right beside the car. There is no possibility that this occurred by driving on the roadway, which is all I did. It must have occurred prior to my rental and wasn't noticed. I was unable to plead my case and it cost me an additional $300. I got screwed because the damage to the tires wasn't noticed when the previous renter returned the car. Lesson learned. Photograph every inch of the car at the time you accept it AND THE TIRES, etc. closeups and don't miss an inch. Enterprise is off my list since someone didn't do a good job of checking the vehicle when the previous renter returned it So it cost me. read more

The one in Stuart which I have used for 10+ years use to be excellent but in the past 3 years has really gone down hill. The vehicles are not ready when I arrive, most recently no fluid in the window washer, vehicle not really clean and the staff seems to busy to care. They try to push their insurance up sells to the point of rudeness. I think next time I'll try someplace new. read more

They have a pick up service which was really nice. We rent a lot of cars and know that some cars come with dents and scratches. The Enterprise employee went over the car with a fine toothed comb and documented every last one. She was thorough. The interior was excellent, clean, and offered all the sanitation packets anyone would ever need. The Charger was great on gas mileage too! When we returned the car, it was quick, and then they gave us a ride back to the marina. read more

Enterprise is so easy to use! You can totally do it all online, but I called since we had a tricky reservation. We needed the car dropped off to us, and then we are dropping it off in Ft. Lauderdale. They called the day before and told me to call the office at 9am on saturday. I called at 9, the said in a 1/2 hour they would be at the house. They were there in less! So, quick I was running around the house! They drove us back to the office. We checked the car and signed some papers and we were off! The entire process was painless and easy! This Enterprise is horrible. Called for a rental after an accident and was told that they would contact me as soon as a car was available. Three hours later and I had not heard from them. Called back and they said there would be one ready in an hour. Once I got to the office, I waited another hour for them to receive back a rental from another customer and turn around and give it to me. When I returned the car, I needed a ride to the body shop to pick up my car. I was told that they would not be able to do that (mind you it was only 4 miles away) and advised to go to the other Enterprise in Stuart to return the car and they would be able to give me a ride. Assistant Branch Manager and staff have no idea about customer service. Rude and disrespectful. Even in front of other customers in the office. They give a reputable company a horrible name and experience. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE. read more

Update: it's been more than 48 hours since contacting the Email that was replied to my review and I have heard nothing back from Enterprise so far. I've seen replies to other negative reviews here given the same Email to contact. I wonder if they ever got anywhere. I will follow-up with another update if I hear back. I reserved a van online to pack my 3 dogs (and their crates) and my child for hurricane Irma evacuation....only to get a call the day we were scheduled to leave informing me that there was no van for my reservation. In a panic I called customer service and asked to find an alternate location that could accommodate my needs only to find nothing. I find it hard to believe this company does not have the capacity to update inventory to reflect actual availability for those making reservations online. IF the influx of requests was too great to handle then someone should have made that known on the website and refused all reservations forcing people to call them in directly to the chosen location so they could be properly assigned. There is no excuse for this failure! I am not the only one this happened to. In a state of emergency PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY TO BE YOUR SAFETY NET!!! read more

Enterprise as a whole has been a horrible experience. I picked up my vehicle in Hope Sound and returned it at this location well before my personal car was ready, just to be done with them. The first time Enterprise attempted to charge my card, they were declined. They called me and explained how much they were charging and why. I approved the transaction and transferred funds into that account for them to withdrawal. About a week and a half later they proceeded to charge my card over $350, leaving me at a 0 balance. I discovered this when I walked in to purchase groceries and my card was declined. When I called to question this charge, they stated my insurance stopped covering the rental and they had attempted to contact me and my insurance company repeatedly, leaving messages. Finally, after days of "attempted contact" they gave up and charged the card. I explained I had no record of ever receiving any additional calls or messages from them. They then changed their story and claimed they were not able to leave any messages, that my phone just kept ringing. Geico states they did not receive any notification from enterprise either. Geico moved to immediately cover the cost and instruct them to refund me. I was informed the funds wound be returned in 24 hours. The following day, I was still left at a 0 balance. After hours on the phone back and forth, myself, geico and enterprise, they say they were busy yesterday, they will release the funds today but now it's Thursday evening so I may have to wait till Monday to receive my money back. At this point I am furious. I have no money for food, my sons diapers or gas and I have now accrued fines from the bank for reaching a 0 balance. I explain all that to enterprise and they state that it is not their problem, they had every right to take my money. When I countered back with not before completing do diligence with myself and my insurance their response was they tried and I must not have had service or my phone carrier must have been experiencing issues the days they tried to call. I spoke to the manager at the Bayshore office, Stuart office and corporate. They all treated me like I was the one out of line. When I finally lost it after two day's of this back and forth they became offended and acted as though they had been bending over backwards to accommodate me. I requested copies of all the records showing the charges, supposed calls and memos on the messages left. I was told that they are unable to provide me any of that. Enterprise as a whole is a greedy, lazy place. They push the blame off on anyone rather then just acknowledging their wrong doing and resolving it quickly. read more

Had a confirmed four day reservation with the local Enterprise office for a rental car while mine was in the dealership for repairs. Called them at 7:45 am for a pick-up at the dealers lot, gave them my reservation #, and was told the driver would be right there. By 8:15, still no pick-up and I'm getting concerned because I had a 9:00 am, appointment. Was told by Enterprise again, "driver is on the way" At 8:30, I'm really upset and the dealership manager volunteered to give me a ride to Enterprise, but they told him, "don't bother, "our driver will be right there" At 8:45 still no Enterprise driver, (one hour after my initial call), the dealer's manager gave me a ride in his own personal car to the Enterprise office. He and I both go into the office and there are eight people waiting around. I ask, "where's the agent" and was told "Oh, he disappeared about ten minutes ago, and we haven't seen him". Fortunately, the dealership manager, Mike, offered to give me a ride home in his car, which was a thirty minute drive for him. I can understand them maybe being overwhelmed by customers that particular morning, what I can't stand are the outright lies. Why not just tell me during my first call that they are sorry and are running two hours behind. I could deal with that, would have respected the truth, and made other arrangements. I guess they lied multiple times thinking that I would wait around, and they wouldn't lose a customer. What they lost was a customer forever. read more

We were late picking up our " confirmed " van and the man at the counter said they rented it to someone else because we were late picking it up. I have dealt with the South Stuart Enterprise location for several years now, and I agree that they are way better than the average car rental location. Great service and very convenient. This year, they suggested that if I could wait a couple of hours after my nominal pickup time they'd have a better selection of cars, and I wound up with a very nice upgrade. service personal were friendly but when they pulled my rental car around it was dirty inside and out. the check engine light was on which shows me that they haven't had the car serviced. when I returned the car I needed a ride home which they did an hour and a half later. I believe for the inconveniences they should have given me a discount or a voucher for my next rental as I rent cars every other month for my job. read more
