This is the worst rental car place! Enterprise has been nothing but horrible. I got the car Monday and already had to go back to get a new car. They don't look at the cars before sending them off to someone else. There is stains all inside the first car, not safe to drive, the wheels were balding. Very unsanitary. I picked up another car hoping it would be better. But it smells like cigarettes and is stained and spills all over. I find it ridiculous they don't clean these cars before hand. Just had a horrible experience. With Max, the manager of this location. I accidentally left some things in a car that I rented on Monday. I called Tuesday morning so that they can grab them for me and they grabbed my wallet locked it in a safe and haven't been able to get it out. I went on Tuesday to go pick it up. They had a malfunction with the safe and we're busy so I didn't want to stress them out and I left the manager. Max said that he would give me a call before the end of business that didn't happen I called the next day and he said he needed to get a technician. I didn't have a problem with that. He said he would give me a call by the end of the day on Wednesday and he didn't do that either. I wait until about noon today. Still no call. I called him and he starts using curse. Words starts getting angry he says. " I got a lot of **** going on. What can I tell you" I asked him if that's how he wants to talk to customers and he says "Yup" My work boots which I need for work they never got out of the car and now I have to wait weeks to be able to get them back because the customer who has the car is off on vacation. What if they deliver the truck to another enterprise? What do I do now? I understand I'm the one who made a mistake, but Max the manager has failed to communicate or to even be polite. He had the audacity to challenge me to call his regional manager after he cursed at me again " I have a lot of **** going on. What the **** do you want me to tell you we dropped the ball." I did not curse at him. I didn't yell at him. I didn't raise my voice. I really hope they actually recorded that phone call so they can address his behavior because what Max did was unacceptable I really hope someone else doesn't have to deal with that. Been renting with Enterprise for roughly 30 years and this was the first time leaving something in a vehicle that couldn't be located. In this instance it was my wife's iPad air (tablet). I returned the rental on the evening 01/19/2026 and my wife didn't realize her tablet was missing until this morning 01/22/2026. I S/W the manager (Max) who mentioned the car was rented again on 1/20/2026. When my wife checked the last location of the tablet it pinged at the Enterprise Simi Valley location 24hrs ago which would be 01/21/2026. If the iPast was still in the rental car, I don't think it would've pinged at the Simi Valley enterprise for 01/21/2026 as it would have been with the new renter inside the vehicle. We did speak with Simi PD and filed a Police Report, and hopefully there's cameras or ways to track who cleans which vehicle for when items get left behind by customers. Hopefully the tablet can be located so I can adjust my review accordingly. My Wife's tablet was located within Enterprise Car Wash location. Appreciate that the tablet was finally found. However; didn't appreciate the lack of concern in trying to locate the tablet until two follow-ups later by me. The tablet last location WAS Enterprise so not sure why it took a week to locate it within their establishment. But main thing is item was returned, so again thank you. read more

I have rented from enterprise from the past, but lately had been renting through Hertz. Not sure what made me decide to use enterprise last week but i did and i probably will not use enterprise at this location again. Cars are very neglected. It just did not feel safe at all. They do not even dry the vehicle they let it dry under the sun. Which made visibility bad due to water spots. Not only that, the rental i was provided smelled so bad. Even when turning on the ac was worst! I put an air freshener and that did not work. The car's bad odor was just so bad that i had to roll the windows while commuting. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise. I was originally given a car with a flat tire, and when I called, Arely told me, "come in before 11am--that would be fantastic, I don't use that word often." I arrived at 10:50am, only to be told at the front desk that there were no cars available. I even called to let them know I would be there early, so they wouldn't give the car away. This felt extremely unprofessional and a waste of my time. On top of that, being called "bro" every few seconds was unnecessary and unprofessional for a customer interaction. I didn't expect renting a car to be made this difficult. Would definitely recommend going to a different company and or location. read more

Convenient and effortless rental with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Simi Valley. I found myself needing a rental for a small time and I was given preference of Enterprise by both my insurance Mercury and body shop CarStar City Auto Body. The staff were helpful in getting me something comparable. They offered a similar truck but instead accommodated my need for better gas mileage with an Audi. Very nice vehicle to try out while I was bummed about my own vehicle in the shop. Return was very quick and I had a ride back to the body shop almost immediately. Unfortunately, I was in a car accident and the driver's insurance company sent me to this location. When I arrived, it was probably the busiest car rental place I had ever seen. There were so many people trying to rent cars. As I stood in line, I just watched the one representative behind the desk, answer the phone, answer questions, and juggle everything that he possibly could with a smile on his face and composure beyond measure!! To be honest, if it were me, I would have lost my mind! He never wavered. After a while, more employees started to filter in. With pure kindness, he started directing everyone, while still managing the circus he was in the midst of ... I later found out, his name was Max!! I've renamed him, MAX THE AMAZING!! ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR discriminated against me. They disrespected, dismissed and marginalized me. I own a luxury vehicle. The body shop repairing my vehicle arranged for a paid for luxury rental car at Simi Valley's ERAC. The branch manager guaranteed a visible Audi on the lot. I pulled my wrong purse that day and did not have my current drivers license. To their credit, they dropped me off and picked me up at the local DMV so that I could obtain proof of valid DL. Upon my return, the Audi was gone. I asked the branch manager, Kyle, where the car was because I had to leave to pick up my kids from school, almost 60 minutes away. His explanation was that he didn't think I was going to take as long as I did. He did not offer an apology, he did not offer the option of picking up another luxury vehicle from a nearby branch. When I asked him if he anticipated on another luxury vehicle arriving that day, he said no. He basically told me that there was a Chevy out there and that I could take it or leave it. He was not willing to part with the Range Rover on his lot because it was not being covered by the bodyshop. It would have been a kind gesture on his part because it was available and having owned a Range Rover previously, I was familiar with it. I looked at him in disbelief. At that moment, I felt disrespected, dismissed, marginalized and discriminated against. ERAC happened to be my first job out of college many years ago. I was a solid employee and even received a recognition award for my job performance. As a former ERAC employee, I was shocked at his actions because I know that is not how ERAC employees are trained, especially those in leadership positions. Jack C. Taylor would be rolling in his grave. IMPACT : the back and forth caused me to be late picking up my kids from school. I had to pay for emergency afterschool daycare. My eldest is graduating from private school and our family is going through the interview process for placement into the next preferred school. We have to show up at various functions and image matters. I was deprived of the ability to present my best self at some of these functions due to mistreatment incurred at Simi Valley's Enterprise Rent a Car by Branch Manager Kyle. It is important that I report this because I don't want anyone else to be treated in the same manner as myself. I reserved a luxury car in Maui. I showed up at my appointment time and they informed me they had no cars. They said I would have to wait for one to come in, so I waited almost an hour and a half. They gave me an economy car and still charged me the luxury car price. I complained and they said there's nothing they could do unless I wanted to cancel my reservation and make a new one. I said sure, great idea! But then she said I wouldn't be able to get a car until the following day. As I see it, they owe me $60! Making an online reservation for a future car rental - 4 stars. Confirming an online reservation one week before the actual rental - 1 star. Actual car rental - 3 stars. So let's talk about the 1-star aspect of this review. You know how car rental agencies are NOTORIOUS for running out of cars even with having a reservation? Well, I decided to call the specific car rental location I wanted to use one week prior to a reservation to ensure there would be a car for me... and the car I actually wanted. I wanted them to be aware that I'm onto them, and I wanted no part of a last second shock and surprise. Well, the joke was STILL on ME because when we reviewed the reservation, they assured me I'd have the car as listed, but then, they dropped the bomb. The child's car seat (that was more important than the car I had requested) was NOT going to be provided because (a) the location I had chosen was not at an airport, and (b) they SUPPOSEDLY NO LONGER provide car seats at non-airport locations. WTF??? And why didn't a red flag show up or the reservation notify me INSTANTLY as I attempted to order it? Why did the reservation go through as if nothing was wrong? Why was I STILL being charged for a car seat they weren't going to give me? Were it not for my total lack of trust in the system and asking a bunch of questions, I would've shown up on the day of the reservation, and I would have been told NO car seat was included. That would've been terrible. My grandson needed a car seat, and I was at their mercy because I had none. The agent from Enterprise, while very nice, insisted he would "make an exception" and see that I get the car seat, and he would call me once it was set. Yeah, and the check is in the mail. I saw the writing on that wall. Needless to say, he never called me back, and when I called him, he had a littany of EXCUSES as to why he didn't call back, and of course, nothing had been remedied either. Even though I still demanded he get me a car seat, I then took matters into my own hands because I didn't trust him and asked my nephew if he had an extra car seat around. Thank goodness he did, so I borrowed it. Fast forward to the actual reservation day, I appeared for obtaining the rental, and while the SUV was cleaned and ready to go, the car seat was "en route" and I would have to wait. Granted, I had my nephew's car seat ready to go, but Enterprise still had the car seat charge on my bill, and they SAID they would find me one. They actually showed up with a car seat 15 minutes later, but it was a BOOSTER seat for a much older child, so I couldn't use it anyway. Were they seriously going to pass that off as a regular car seat? No way was my grandson old enough for that. Then we had an issue where no one was going to assist me with installing the car seat, whether it was theirs or not... something about liability. Whatever, while that makes sense, I was just beyond annoyed at that point. Further fast forward, a young woman employee at Enterprise actually came to the rescue. She showed me how to operate the car rental, and she also installed the car seat for me, even with the liability issue. She said she was a young mom herself and didn't want me to worry about installing my nephew's car seat and assured me she knew how to install it properly. I appreciated that... and trusted her. The car rental was fine. The car seat (my nephew's) was fine, as was how it got installed, and we had an excellent visit for the week. Enterprise even credited my bill for the car seat charge since I never used what they finally provided. So it all worked out in the end, but they should have immediately declined my request for the car seat when I first placed the rental reservation. None of the inconvenience should have taken place, and they should figure out why their reservation system doesn't reflect their actual practices more accurately. read more

Always have a great experience renting from Enterprise. I use them when I travel for business. Cars I rented were all newer,low mileage and in great condition. If they did not have the class I ordered, I was upgraded at no cost. When I have my cars serviced I use the Simi Valley location. Well let me start by saying that at the location great and speedy customer service is provided. However when you try calling to swap out a vehicle from the lot that is not functional it's a whole different story. I called to see if they had any cars available and they told me NO! minutes after showing up to the location I come to find out there were 4-6 vehicles AVAILABLE. Sad to know that vehicles are provided that are not safe on the road and enterprise employees don't care to make an effort to keep their clients safe. Very shady business tactics. They gave me a car with tons of exterior damage, but they didn't document the damage on the interior. Battery also keeps discharging and front left tire was deflating. I asked for roadside assistance but they ignored me. Had to wait for a follow up phone call the following day. WARNING! These guys do not fully document all damages on the car and if there's undocumented damage, they'll hold it against the current driver. Then they'll say "well you didn't purchase the protection plan." It's their job to fully document damages from inside to outside. Super shady if you ask me. read more

I've rented vehicles from Enterprise several times. I have always had a positive experience here. They come and pick me up if I ever need a ride there, and of course they drop me off after the rental is complete. The drivers I've had are always polite and good to talk to. I found the service here really good. Kyle, the manager as of this writing, was particularly exceptional. He went out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of properly. There were some complications with my car so I had to extend my contract and everything went down with no problem at all. Sami initially picked me ip at the auto shop and was so pleasant and Jalen took great care of me at the counter. When my vehicle was finished I was able to leave the rental at the auto shop and they would pick it up. It was a Friday so I verified on Monday that it was picked up and when I called they had completed everything and were ready to send me my deposit. Let me start by saying that I had an immediate need, as my car was totaled. A nearby car rental insurance company (referred by my insurance agent), was NOT concerned or helpful. I quickly called this location, as I have rented from them in the past for vacations, and their outstanding customer service remained intact. Val quickly helped me and all of my needs, got me set up and I had a next day car pick-up for a week, while my insurance is sorting out the details. Jerry assisted me in my pick-up, provided me with a car comparable to my old car and answered ALL of my questions. I highly recommend this particular Enterprise, as they provide the optimal customer experience, work diligently and get you in a car that you need. Major kudos to Val and Jerry. Just spoke with Matt at Enterprise (local) about my concerns about the last rental. We went over the reservation information together. NOTE: If you are having body and/or engine work done with a local shop, please contact the local Enterprise, versus national reservations, to secure a lower rate. Matt was very helpful in working out some billing issues. He was able to look up our past history of renting from them and made some adjustments to what we were charged. There were some misunderstandings based on what national reservations had done when my husband called in originally. We also discussed the Eco-Boost feature on many of the newer cars that lead to very jerky performance, especially after starting up from a stoplight situation. I made a suggestion, and he agreed that it would be worth going over with his team as not all renters are familiar with this newer feature. I very rarely leave reviews since most good customer service these days has fallen by the waste side. No one tends to care anymore. However simi valley enterprise is the opposite of that. I appreciated the kindness, patience, & professionalism. I got picked up by Gary, who was very polite & made an effort to have a great conversation so the car ride wasn't awkward & silent. From there I was greeted multiple times & they made sure I was already being helped. If I could I would give ZERO! I have rented cars here for years. This weekend was beyond a horrible experience. 1. I was told by the worker that the car was just serviced and I was lucky. I rented a C300 Mercedes and 100 miles from Home the seat belt icon would not stop dinging though all seatbelts on. The car continues to say service is required! I responded to the managers text, if any concerns I can respond to the text. This was hours from closing yesterday and no response from him still. 2. While driving home, the car is saying no coolant! This should of been filled when we rented it 2 days ago, we only drove 150 miles. 3. There is not a manual anywhere in the car or truck. All urine videos say refer to manual on what coolant ti use. I have used enterprise consistently for 10+ years. I recently rented a car for a trip, and while driving I had a rock fly up and hit the windshield chipping it. This damage is my responsibility and I respect and own that. I was charged $1000.00 ..for the damaged windshield and if that is the cost then It's my responsibility and I understand...... But, what I can't understand is, it has been 65 days and the Simi Valley office will not follow-up with me. They will not return calls after I have asked repeatedly for a copy of the repair order and the cost breakdown. I have spoken with several people in the office and each has said "I will have to call you back". I have been curious and respectful of their workforce only to realize they will not follow-up, return a call, or even produce just a receipt that show the car was repaired and the cost to repair it.... on a scale of 1-10 I give them a ZERO in customer service....... The sad part is no one will take ownership to return my call, or provide leadership to the employee that work there... read more

The staff was friendly and helpful, but they also moved fast getting people in and out fast. There was a customer in front of me complaining about something that was outside of Enterprise's control and they were very patient with her when they could have just asked her to leave. I thought they handled it well. My rental was clean and a good value for what I paid compared to other rental companies in the area. Enterprise is open on Saturdays also, which is way more convenient for me than Monday - Friday only. read more
