It was a pleasant experience. I was in and out pretty quick. I was offered an upgrade for a little more which I took and I wasn't disappointed. I will be renting from them again read more

Extremely frustrating experience with Dollar. I rented a car from the Simi Valley location and, while traveling in Las Vegas, the vehicle developed a mechanical issue. Instead of helping me exchange what I believed was a defective vehicle, I was told by the manager that I could be charged around $500 simply because the car would be left in Las Vegas. I was not trying to voluntarily change my return location or turn this into a one-way rental. I was asking for help because the vehicle was having a problem. The way this was handled made it feel like I was being financially penalized for reporting an issue with Dollar's own car. The communication was dismissive and the proposed charge was excessive and poorly explained. I would strongly recommend getting every fee and contingency in writing before renting from this location, especially if you plan to drive any meaningful distance from Simi Valley. Actually I would strongly recommend you simply stay away from this location. Very disappointing customer service and not how I expected a mechanical issue to be handled. read more

had a fantastic and easy experience getting a rental car day off when I had to take my car into the mechanic. Will be back!

I had a fantastic experience renting with Dollar, largely thanks to Masih the district manager. The rental process was incredibly smooth from start to finish. The car was spotless and ran perfectly and the pricing was the best around. I have rented from them on a couple occasions. And will absolutely be renting from them again! Not to sound corny but why rent from somewhere else when you found the best. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Dollar Rent A Car in Simi Valley! From start to finish, everything was smooth, easy, and completely stress-free. The pricing was very fair--no surprises or hidden fees--which I really appreciated. What truly stood out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The check-in and return process were quick and efficient, and they made the whole experience feel effortless. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly what I expected, which made my trip that much more enjoyable. It's clear this location takes pride in both their cars and their customer service. If you're looking for a reliable, hassle-free rental experience with a team that genuinely cares, I highly recommend Dollar Rent A Car in Simi Valley. I'll definitely be coming back next time I need a rental! read more

Just wanted to share my experience in this location. AMAZING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Arshak (Manager) I rented here at this location twice and Arshak was very helpful, friendly, and the smile :). YES!! And he make sure that you get the perfect car for you. Fast Process, the thing that I like most their cars are new, and always clean. And " FAMILY LIKE VIBES". Overall, I AM VERY SATISFIED. read more

They have always taken great care of me from the first time I did business with them in 2024. Every car they have is in top condition. I always come in a bit frazzled from travel and they're always very professional, kind and considerate. They will have my business every time I'm in town! read more

This was my second time renting from this location. Each time has been a pleasant experience. Many times, I've stated, Service is the key to success. This location has gone above and beyond the needs of service. A plus for this. Keep up the excellent service and you will continue to earn my business. Providing your customers with reliable vehicles and most of all clean and cost -effective with the current market. Great Job. Special thanks to the employees who help maintain and kept the cars clean for your customers to enjoy during their trips. Thank you to the Direct Manager, Masih Rassoli. read more

Great customer service and always very helpful. Discount always. Love this place. Thank you very much for helping out.

Absolutely horrible. Very, very pushy with wanting me to pay for insurance when I just wanted to use my own insurance. Was very rude and was trying very hard to make me look stupid with his remarks. Didn't have the type of car we reserved. Ended up cancelling the rental and walked out. Will not return to this business..ever! read more

I made a reservation a month ago Today I went to pick up my car and they told me they didn't have any cars available!!!! The counter person was very rude and the only option was to upgrade for $60 more I was not happy very unprofessional !! He was like are you going to take it or not I have Costumers in line ! I couldn't believe what was happening NEVER AGAIN USING THIS COMPANY THANK GOD I went down the street to Herzt and I found the same car and the customer service was amazing read more

The rental process went well and we received a nice, clean vehicle full of gas. When we returned the vehicle, they waited a few minutes more for us as we were stuck in traffic and were going to arrive right at closing. Very nice gentleman and I would recommend this location. Thank you Armen and Naj for your grace and excellent customer service! read more

1. Got a reservation through Priceline for mid-size SUV for $153. 2. Got to the store, they said they didn't have a mid size SUV. They tried to up charge me an extra $125 to upgrade to an SUV. I said no, I have reservations already that I made a week ago. They offered me a Hyundai Venue instead. Me thinking it's at least an SUV, I said, yes. Got outside to see the car, that's a clown car. It can barely fit 5 people and a small luggage in the trunk. 3. I went back inside and told them to cancel because that Venue they offered is trash. I was already pissed at this point. 4. Horrible customer service, they tried to dupe me. read more

These gentlemen took such good care of me and my family. My daily driver went into the shop and I needed something reliable to transport loved ones during the holiday season. Armen got me into the perfect car at a fantastic price that still allowed me to afford my car repair. And my family loved the new car, turning an unfortunate event into something to smile about. The facility is new and spacious, the team is thorough and friendly. They helped me extend the return time with ease. I'll never rent from anyone else in Simi Valley-- Thank you to Armen and everyone at Dollar. read more

We had to keep the truck extra days because they close early and will not allow you to drop off vehicles after 5pm. The girl at the counter is rude and the owner is not professional at all. I would NEVER recommend renting from this place again. We were forced to keep the vehicle extra days even though we did not need the vehicle anymore. read more

Wish I could give negative stars! Similar to many other reviews I now see (wish I would have come on yelp first)I reserved a car a MONTH in advance here for an important trip and when I arrived with my paperwork proof and confirmation there was NO car available! The guy that was supposed to be manning the counter had to be summoned out of his personal car (that he was sitting in) outside the office to help me, and walks in still on the phone obviously dealing with another complaint about an overcharge. Ask for my car and he says he has none nonchalantly like it's no big deal-even after I show him my paperwork and confirmation. Smug and rude with the "too bad" attitude. Says he can't help me. This place is so unprofessional!!!!!!! Then tells me he knows no one else has cars because he has already checked which tells me I wasn't the first that day to have the same issue with them. Do not go here if you need to rely on a car for something important or a trip- you aren't guaranteed one and will find yourself scrambling day of searching other cities for cars and paying three times the price you got a month ago- I missed my kids graduation because of these people. My guess is that they gave my car away to someone who came in last minute who they could get more money from. Shady and unprofessional. read more

Really impressed by the service at Dollar Rent A Car in Simi Valley. Masih R. went out of his way on a Sunday afternoon (after store was closed) to take my call and help with a last-minute rental need. He was very professional, accommodating, and friendly. Whole transaction during pickup and drop-off was quick and easy. A very positive experience all- around. I definitely recommend! read more

The only place I will ever rent a car. Very honest and very accommodating agents. Rented a car while mine was in the shop. They were very patient with me and had the best customer service. The car was in great condition and the price was better than all the other places. Definitely recommend ! Thank you to the location! read more

Reserved a car. Came to pick it up and they tried to upsell me and said the car I had reserved was no longer available. Shady. They did offer other more expensive options that I declined and said they would not honor the price for the reservation I had made. Not renting here again. Read other reviews. This seems to be a regular practice here. read more

My experience with Branch MGR Armen resulted in poor customer service, lack of professionalism, lack of integrity and failed resolution. Confirmed auto reservations not honored, confirmed price points not honored and Branch MGR persistence in "up-charging" prices for vehicles available verse vehicle reserved. With many options in Simi Valley to rent an automobile, I would sincerely recommend you not becoming a patron @ Dollar Rent A Car, Simi Valley, CA. read more

Bait and switch . You come in with a reservation and a pre arranged booked amount. The excuse is it's not in our system or we don't have any cars . But they do have a car at double the price . Unethical business. read more

After contacting them and posting the negative review I got a credit for the money they charged me. I am pleased they made it right.

Super nice manager who went above and beyond. Don't hesitate to go here. Thank you.

New car rental spot in Simi and I have to say it's by far my new favorite place to rent cars from! They have a great selection, the guys who work there are super nice and accommodating, very easy to talk to and always make me feel comfortable when I'm there. The place itself is super clean inside and looks to be well taken care of. The cars are always clean and in great condition whenever I've rented from them. If you need to rent a car, don't bother with the other places just spare yourself and go here! I've compared prices and they are definitely the most affordable. I look for reasons to rent a car more often now because of how fantastic their vehicles are. Customer service is on point, keep it up guys! read more

Everything was absolutely the best! The car was clean and ready as soon as i completed paperwork. The manager and everyone in this branch were the most customer service orientated group I think I have ever dealt with. I reserved a car online thru AAA, but apparently it doesn't verify auto availability. They worked it out where I was able to get a vehicle on THE busiest rental day of the year! It enabled me to make my trip to see my family. Thank you all at Dollar Rental for everything! read more

I rented a car to travel to San Francisco. I selected Honda Accord as my preference and paid for it two weeks in advance. On the day of delivery I was told the car I selected was not available instead the offer me 2024 Nissan Kick which is quite a downsize for the same price. When I inquired why I am being charged same price they gave me various excuses. Since I was in hurry to go and time was as essence I accepted this car. And they assured me the reliability of this car. Half way between my destination we stopped for gas. After filling it up the car wont start. All electrical system gone off. Desperate to reach my destination for my appointment I called their customer service agent and asked for help. I was told to call my insurance agent and have it fixed as they cannot do anything else. Rest assured I will never go to this rental company again. Thay are more to align their pocket then giving you quality service. read more

My brother's family was coming to town and we needed a van on very short notice. The other local car rental businesses did not work out. Fortunately, we found Armen at Dollar Car Rental which was open on Sat. (a big plus). Armen was stellar. He calmly worked on our behalf as if he was a family member. He quickly arranged the perfect vehicle for us, was refreshingly friendly, professional, helpful, and encouraging. He took just the right amount of time to tell us those little things that you need to know. I know the first place I'm going to go next time I need a rental car. This was an A++ experience and now an extremely happy memory. I enthusiastically recommend Armen and Dollar Car Rental in Simi Valley. read more
