The first vehicle available was really small, but it was all they had at the moment so I took it. The next day they were able to switch me into something larger, which I appreciated. That second car ended up smelling like a wet dog, so that wasn't going to work. I texted the person I believe was the branch manager and let her know. She apologized right away and wanted to fix it immediately. When I came in, the whole team was friendly, smiling, and ready to help. They got me into a much nicer vehicle that did not smell like a dog at all. Every single person I interacted with was super nice and super helpful. They made the whole process easy from start to finish. When I returned the car, they even gave me a ride back to the Cadillac dealership. That extra step really stood out. Overall, I had an awesome experience with this Enterprise team. They took care of me every step of the way and made sure I left happy.

They use all up to date technology and have plenty of newer cars. They even have their own car wash on site to make sure everything is clean. I want to focus one one problem which has now happened twice. Avis rented a Chevy Malibu to me and while driving to Las Vegas the CHECK ENGINE OIL light came on. That makes me nervous as I'm driving my family through Death Valley. I took the time to purchase oil and ultimately swapped the car prior to the return drive across the desert. That's time and money taken from my trip. And it has happened twice, with two different vehicles. The time it took to make the transfer of vehicles made it impossible to return the car to Woodland Hills on time. So I was charged for an extra day. I'd like to see these companies put more effort into vehicle maintenance so that these things don't happen to us.

More often than not, Hertz comes through strong, and for that reason, I have continued to use their services. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. On two separate occasions, I had reserved vehicles that were "guaranteed," only to find that there were no vehicles available when I arrived. This forced me to cancel my reservation and find alternate transportation, which was incredibly inconvenient. Because Hertz usually comes through, I am giving them three stars, but if this happens a third time, I won't be so forgiving. Overall, I think Hertz is a strong and solid company, and I appreciate their rewards program. However, I believe their internal systems need updating, and their staff training probably needs some improvements as well and ultimately, I think they should hire more staff, maybe potentially integrate AI platforms or self directed solutions to exhibited certain processes, and may keep better account for their vehicles. based on my recent experiences, I can only give Hertz three out of five stars.

And note the disingenuous "we hate it when this happens" message. Rates do change frequently, but do they double every 14 seconds? Scumbags. I just uploaded the photos. Roughly around 6am and I got a car delivered to me within the next hour. It was an updated Mercedes Benz with GPS. The cost of the car for 2 weeks was really a good deal. Other places like Alamo, Dollar, Avis, etc that were charging me more than what my car costs on a monthly payment. I am very thankful that I got something the same day.
