I rent cars all over nationally, but rent here quite a bit to save putting business miles on my car. The staff in Hamp is always very friendly and helpful. Sometimes this place is jumping on peak times, but they always handle it well. One bit of feedback. In my opinion, first impressions are what make or break a rental experience. The staff wins hands down on that, whoever cleans their cars does not. Oftentimes the cleanliness of the cars is subpar. (Hard to drive east in the AM sun with a dirty inside of the windshield.) Wish they could solve that one issue. read more

Don't bother. I made a car rental reservation on 9/13/2026 to pick up a car on 9/17/2026 at 5pm. I was sent a link for advance check-in the night before (9/16). I checked in and received text confirmation that I was checked in and set for my pickup the following day. At 4pm on 9/17 (date of rental pick up), I received a call from the business stating that they did not have a rental car for me. They stated that they were required by Enterprise Corporate to send all cars on site to the nearby airport (BDL, ~40miles away). I asked why the customers at BDL were considered more important than me, the current customer with an advance reservation. They had no answer other than "their location has priority over our location." They declined to offer any assistance in helping me find a car at another Enterprise location. In my experience, people who reserve a rental car at Enterprise are not doing so because they have a casual need for transporation. It is because they have a genuine need. For a business to allow a customer to rent a car multiple days in advance and then revoke the reservation the same day - the same hour - without any recourse is unethical and bad business practice. read more

Perhaps we dodged a bullet with this place. I went online on Friday and made a reservation for Monday morning. After 2 weeks of my car being in the shop they could not fix the issue. I needed the car to take my mother, who is 86 and has leukemia to her doctor in Boston at Dana Farber, 2.5 hours away. She goes only every 3 - 6 months, an hour before we are supposed to pick up the car enterprise calls and says they have no cars until noon. Her appointment is at 12:15pm. What kind of business is this? They have had years to fix their system and have not done it. It takes months to get these appointments and my mother was so disappointed that she had to cancel. Shame on you Enterprise. read more

They are very good at telling you what you want to hear, not so good at telling the truth. I booked a car from Saturday morning to Sunday morning - 24 hours. The man in Northampton assured me that was OK and even though they were closed on Sunday, there was a dropbox for the keys when I returned the car in the morning. No mention was ever made of paying for two days. I picked the car up on Saturday morning, and I'm required to pay for two days. They said it's "not possible" to bill me for just the 24 hours that I have the car. Next time, I'll make the drive to West Springfield to avoid this kind of dishonesty. read more

I've rented a car (or attempted to) from this location 3 times when I've been in town. Every time it's been a headache and I get a message after booking that they don't have any cars available. Talked to corporate who told me not to go elsewhere and they'll figure it out for me and they didn't get back to me. Almost was late to the event I was in town from CA for. Either fix your system to prevent bookings when you're out of cars or figure out a way to better stock your inventory. Just rented from Avis in West Springfield who jumped through hoops to get me a car after enterprise cancelled -- they upgraded me to a SUV since they didn't have what I booked. Will NOT be attempting to rent from this Enterprise location in the future. read more

They were all really warm and friendly. The car was clean smelled good and was a top of the line car!! I would definitely return to this place read more

Been renting cars here for the past few years, always great, reliable service & clean nice cars. They've always honored my reservation & done a much better job than some other car rental places in the area. read more

I rent cars to go to Logan airport for business trips. Last two times, within a couple of months, my reservations were cancelled - no cars. The idea of a reservation is to reserve, right? The first one, I had made a one-week rental weeks in advance. I was told I had no car 3 hours before pickup. The second time (2 days ago) when the manager called to inform me that I would have no car, I complained about this problem in a civil way and she hung up on me. I use Enterprise/National a fair amount, and they are generally great but this branch is both useless and rude. read more

Warning! They are going to try to sell you collision damage coverage. They will ask you for your insurance info. If you don't know it, they will call your insurance company to verify your coverage and limits. TIP: Check with your credit card company before you get to the rental co., and find out if they offer free collision damage coverage. Most do! read more

Absolutely terrible! Got SCAMMED and screwed out of my money!! Employees seem nice but are not helpful or detailed at all! And when contacted about issue, said they would speak to the manager to see how they could help us/ refund us and then pulled a fast on us to keep our money and sent us in the wrong direction for further help! Waste of time and money! Huge regret! Be aware! read more

Beware! They may not honor their commitment. Having made a reservation weeks in advance of an important appointment, I was shocked when a couple of hours before the start of my rental period I received a call from this Northampton Enterprise franchise that there were no cars available. Apparently they had allowed all existing rentals to be extended even though they knew that meant they would not have a vehicle for me. read more

This branch is absolutely horrible stay away at all cost. They are changing me for previous damage they failed to record. Manager is horrible. Employees are very nice but no help. STAY AWAY!!! read more

If you're in NoHo and you're looking for a way out, renting a car is an easy way to accomplish that task. I usually book with National because I have status with them, but since the closest is in another city, I had to book here. The process was easy, and this location takes part in weekend specials. I booked a compact for $9.99/day, Fri-Mon. Great deal! They called me the day before to confirm and ask if I needed a lift. I agreed, so they picked me up the next day when I was ready. They have just moved to a new office, but it's very clean and nice. After the standard paperwork, they walked me out to my car, did a check for damage, and I was on my way. Hyundai Accent 4 door with roll down windows and manual locks, but with XM...weird. At least the staff is very courteous and professional. Plus, the girl that picked me up and processed my rental was really cute. Icing on the cake! read more

Great customer service! I occasionally will do a one way from Bradley airport and they will actually drive me the 2 miles to my house! Who else does this? Very happy indeed. read more

I can tell ya Discrimination is very real here at this Northampton Ma, branch!!! If you're a pretty young lady you get top of the line upgrade. If you're a hispanic Male they give ya Toyota Corolla. So at this branch i made a reservation for a compact car. When i went in to get the car the employee tells me we dont have compact cars so we're giving you an upgrade. In my mind im thinking its an suv or a Full size vehicle since thats whats nxt after a compact car. The employee walks me out to a regular basic Toyota Corolla not even the SE model. I said this is an upgrade? I thought it was rediculous and insulting to tell me that car was an upgrade. He proceeded to tell me yeah u have bigger trunk space then a regular compact car. Like what?? Bigger trunk space! But i took it with a grain of salt it was gonna get me to where i needed to go thats all that mattered to me at the time. So when i returned the vehicle im waiting in the lobby. Theres a pretty young lady that goes in to rent a vehicle for a couple days and that employee tells her im gonna give u an upgrade and tells her he has an Audi for her. I was in shock!! I get the basic Toyota Corolla and the pretty young lady gets a top shelf luxury vehicle, an Audi. I wanted to tell them off but my ride got there and I figured i just write a review. I have a friend thats a pretty young blonde who would always tell me if i want a free upgrade to let her make the reservation she rents from Enterprise quite often and says she always gets an economy rental because they always upgrade her to an suv and i always had doubts till i actually witnessed this with with my own eyes. So fellas if u go to rent a vehicle here and u have a pretty girlfriend or wife send her in to get the rental so she can get you a luxury upgrade!!! read more

Quick and uncomplicated coordination with car repair shop for short-term rental which my car was being fixed. Thank you! I've rented from Enterprise while away from home and have always had a good experience (not with Hertz!!). read more

Rented a car for a week, knowing that it might not be needed for the full time. I asked at the time if I would be refunded for the unused time if I brought the car back early. I was assured that I would. Rented it on 9/23. Tried to return it on 9/26, but was told that the place was closed and that, even though I could drop off the key I would be charged until Monday 9/28. Not only that, I was told that my refund would be basically zero because I had rented for a "discount rate." In other words I would be charged for a week even though I had actually kept the car for only 3 days! I called another location and was told to drop off the car and the key and I would be charged only for the time I actually used the car. read more

The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. I rent cars a lot and they do a great job both on the phone and in-person when I picked up my car. read more

I needed a one way car from Noho to eastern mass and Enterprise delivered. It wasn't inexpensive but then I expected the one way rental to be more than a local one. Overall very satisfied with their service and the new location is a big improvement. read more

Very friendly and coordinated team. Dave was very nice driving me around to the office and the team made an extra effort to make sure the car I needed (suburban) was there. That very morning someone hit the Suburban they had for me, and so they got another one from Amherst, and had it ready by my appointment. Great Service. read more

The staff really hustles to get you in your car or in returning it a timely manner. My only complaint this time, (I have rented many times with them) was the quality of the car assigned. The stripped down versions of popular cars that car rental comp uses is sometimes concerning. If I had the time I could probably asked for a different car. read more

I was entirely misinformed about insurance charges after explicitly asking an enterprise employee, which made my rental cost $90 more than expected. Good service at the Northampton and Amherst location, as I was given a ride home after dropping off the car. Would overall recommend enterprise if you bring your own personal and vehicle insurance. read more

I rented a pickup truck from this location over the weekend. Prior to this experience I had been considering purchasing a truck, as I occasionally need to move things that won't fit in my Camry. Tarren was very helpful in assisting me with the reservation and rental, and was understanding of my scheduling needs (late drop off). The Silverado was perfect for the job, and better on gas than expected. When I dropped the truck off I was stunned to see that Felix was still at the office at 8pm on a Sunday, working to prep cars for the morning. He was very polite and dropped what he was doing to check out the truck and print me a receipt. Great staff and rental experience. The only downside is that now I can't justify buying a truck. If you only need one occasionally, this is probably the way to go. read more

Great customer service (I'm talking about you, Felix!) I had a reservation from Mon-Thurs and a separate weekend reservation from Fri-Mon, with Enterprise driving me the 2 miles home on Thurs and picking me up again on Friday. When I was turning in the car on Thurs, Felix asked me if I would like to keep the car Thurs-Fri for free. Yes, I would! and i then drove myself home. It is a very professional environment and I am glad this Enterprise location is so convenient to my home. I look forward to using it again. read more

I always rent from Enterprise, you just cant beat the weekend deal. The agents at the office are always nice and the process quick. My only complaint is that the cars are never very clean. My last car was filthy both inside and out. The interior was so dirty that I could barely read the speedometer/odometer and I was concerned about turning the radio station. Inside and around the cup holder was sticky with what looked like spilled soda. But for $10.00 a day, how could I complain? read more

Their staff has no knowledge of their poliicies. I was given a different story by three different people, ran out to get extradornary documation I was told would close the deal and still denied a car. I work on the road for a living and am constantly renting from other agencies. This branch was a hot mess. read more

Enterprise Rent-a-car in Northampton, MA is the most unprofessional rental car establishment I've ever dealt with. They were rude, incompetent, and misinformed when I made the reservation. I strongly encourage to take your business elsewhere. read more

The Enterprise in Northampton is the best car rental place I've used thus far. Very courteous and organized. The area manager, Catherine I believe is her name, heard the difficulties that I was having on the phone with Enterprise who weren't helpful at all helping me book online as something wasn't working and she went the extra mile (extra mile, get it?) to help me where they couldn't for some reason. Now that's a good manager! read more
