In the past, I would have rated this 5 stars without a second thought. I have had good, solid experiences here. The staff is friendly as they can be considering how incredibly busy they are. Every time I am in there, they have almost more work than they can handle. This time, I had a mixed experience. It was my first time to purchase optional insurance. I have never had problems or claims and I'm covered through credit card anyway. When they showed me the car and walking through final work, another employee arrived in a new Chevrolet Suburban and offered to me at the same price as the car I would drive. I thought I saw something but shrugged it off. Yes, I did see something. When I checked the Chevy backed in, they quickly found an almost microscopic crack in windshield. I define that as one third length of my pinky nail (I have short nails and average hand size) and maybe 5 hairs wide. No star or point of impact. They said not to worry, I had bought insurance so no problem. Still, that struck me as suspicious. First and only time I buy optional insurance, free upgrade, then they find something small to charge me. I had driven looking in area of "crack" and had never seen it. I spot little problems. Don't take a free upgrade, don't buy insurance. Stick to the basics and you'll be fine with a great experience. read more

I was treated great by my CSR Laney. She checked my car out, and then a week later, checked it back in. Very professional, and the car worked out well. I rent cars about 5 times a year from Enterprise, all over the US. This was one of the better experiences I've had with the company. Their location in downtown Monroe is open on Saturday which is why I chose them. read more

I was trying to get a rental car in Monroe,LA. I told them I need a one way. I need to get a car in Monroe for a few days and drop in off in Texas. I needed to do some business in Louisiana, and Texas. They said no, if you get it in Monroe, you need to drop the car off in Monroe. So I didn't get the car. And it messed up my trip...costing me 1,200 $ in airplane tickets, then 370$ for hotel fees. All because they don't allow one ways. I guess I have to drive my car from California to Louisiana next time. :( two thumbs down! Big time! read more

This place is HORRIBLE. I had a rental reservation I made online two days before I went to pick it up for a full-sized car. Pickup time was 11:30am. I arrived around 11:20am and was told the car was "almost ready," it just had to be sanitized. It would be about 30 minutes. Well, to arrive at my next meeting, I had to leave no later than 12:00 noon. They assured me I was in the "virtual waiting room" and they would call as soon as it was ready. I went to eat lunch, and came back about 45 minutes later. No car. I was told they were "just about to leave to pick it up from getting an oil change." They said no more than 30 minutes, but they would call. I left again and went to a bookstore. I came back around 1:00. Still no car. They told me they were just waiting for some more to be dropped off. At this point, I was already very late. I told them I need a vehicle right then. They offered a small cab truck with a high suspension system and huge, knobby tires. My trip was close to 2,000 miles, so I asked the gas mileage... 15 mpg. The car I was getting was in the mid 30s. I asked about other vehicles, a minivan etc. They said no. The only other option was this tiny two seater buzz mobile. It barely held the luggage for me and my traveling partner. And the most they would give me off was 5%, which came out to less than $20 total -- and I lost almost two hours listening to their storytime. A BUNCH OF LYING FRAUDS. Your national ad states "we will pick you up". Not true! We live 20 miles from the Monroe, LA office in Rayville, LA and the Monroe office states they do NOT pick in Rayville. We have no transportation of any kind and were requiring a vehicle for the weekend. Your ad is very misleading and your main reservation headquarters needs to update their info. WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER This location on N. 18th is so poorly managed that they did not get me a copy of my rental agreement until I actually went into the store to get it myself. I also had a minor accident in the vehicle, which I reported to them. When I asked for a copy of the accident report, I was given a copy of another renter's accident report that was dated for the day before I picked up the car. When I told the manager that the information was inaccurate, she told me to send the police report, which I would be required to pay to receive. Enterprise's accident report did not even have my name on it, and when I picked up the car, it already had a tag on it that said it needed work. I am not sure that they were even supposed to lease me a car that was scheduled for work. They are now holding my company (we rent from a corporate account) responsible for the damage. Very disappointed in this enterprise I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your rental needs! I needed to put truck in shop so I rented a truck from them. They offer the drop off service so I took advantage of that. They said 3pm would be a good time to drop it off so I was here at the dealership at 3. 3:20 no one is here so I called them, someone finally picked up at 3:45. She said someone would be here in 15 minutes. They finally showed up at 4:45 . He had me sign the paperwork and left. I got what I needed from my truck put in the rental got in it and there was a service light on I clicked on it and 1 tire was flat had 20lb of air in it. I call and ask for a manager and none where available, the guy asked me what was wrong, I told him and he said it should have a spare just put that on! Really wtf ! On top of this the truck is filthy inside and out!!! Never again this place is wrong read more

Enterprise use to be the place to go. They are known for their awesome weekend specials, but their customer service have fell off and will NEVER return to the north 18th location. I arrived 15 min early for my 5:30 reservation. I was spoken to upon arrival and told someone would be with me. I sat there un-helped for 10 minutes. There was 1 Asian guy sorry if nationality is incorrect, 1 white guy, and 2 black females inside and 2 customers. one being helped and one seated being worked on. That left 2 inside unaccounted for to help. Finally black young guy came and asked if I had been helped. I said no. He proceeded to check me in to get my reservation. Then he took a call, another 5 min, then went to his manager and discussed my issue, then my reservation was complete. I even watched the manage have a conversation with a couple returning a car asking to give great numbers on their survey and how she would take care of them. She watched me un-helped for minutes. I even watched as some of the employees were standing at the front counter having sidebar conversations. Anyway, We walked outside to the vehicle that was pulled up by the door that was assigned to me to see that it was dirty, unwashed, car bugs etc. This should have been done. It is now past my reservation time. I asked for it to be detailed, said it would take 2-3 minutes. It took about 10. He pulled up in the car and it was still dirty. the wheels had built up dirt. the inside roof look like someone just had chocolate or dirty hands and just smeared stuff on it. my own car doesn't look like this, but was wrecked and in body shop. seem as if he just sprayed It with water and vacuumed it. My rental experience at Enterprise last weekend was great, at pick up and return! However, this weekend was not so pleasant. We went in to pick up the vehicle, and one of the reps (white guy) who was working with us, just up and walked off in the middle of the pick up transaction, to go help someone else (white guy) who had a return and had arrived after us. He simply passed us off to someone else. I thought this was completely rude and disrespectful...It appeared as if he passed African American off to handle his white friend. We thought our money has the same value as the next person...Then, as the other guy who had completed ALL the work was about to take us out to check out the car, he had the nerve to return to try and take us outside. However, my husband and I refused to go out with him to check out the vehicle...we simply stated we no longer wanted him to take care of us since he had passed us off...After making this clear, instead of the branch manager, an African American female, exemplifying some type of concern for us and telling us this issue would be addressed, she gave US her nasty attitude and not her worker....Not only was it rude and disrespectful to us, but also very unprofessional. After getting in the car and returning home, my husband wanted to return the car because it IS FILTHY!!!! From the dashboard, to the animal hair, head smudges in window, muddy mats, and nasty dirty seats...we see that the car was just as distasteful as the branch manager!!!! WE PRAY OUR RETURN ON MONDAY, APRIL 29TH WILL BE BETTER THAN THE PICK UP!!!!! We also plan to write Enterprise Headquarters. I made a reservation for a week for a premium SUV. I called the branch where I reserved it 2 times prior to my reservation date just to ensure I would be getting a premium size. I was told that I would that I get either a Suburban or an Expedition. When I went to pick up my rental this morning I was given a Tahoe which is NOT a premium SUV and it not big enough. I have 5 passengers with luggage! The employees were absolutely no help to me and they put all the blame on their corporate office. When I asked them to give me the corporate phone number, they gave me the wrong number!! I was in tears at this point. So I had to find it for myself and I called. I waited on hold for 18 minutes only to be told that now all the Enterprise offices are closed and a manger will be in contact with me. So now I am left with a rental vehicle that is too small and I don't know what to do! Might I add that the cost is $686! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! First car they rented me was missing a hubcap. Second one was better but now they are trying to make me pay for a dent that was already in the door of the car when I rented it. Customer service is horrible, and they always have a long wait. Mallory is rude and not helpful at all. I will never rent from them again and warn you not to either. read more

At first my wife and I was about to go postal on Enterprise...lol. We live in New Mexico and I called several weeks in advance to set up a reservation. The individual told me then they could not pick us up at the airport but at the adjacent building. This was fine. While setting at the terminal in Monroe I contacted Enterprise. I was informed I would have to walk over to the DMV, about a 15 min walk with luggage. By this time my wife and I was REALLY upset. We had contemplated on dropping our reservation and going with another rental company. Something just kept telling me to stay with Enterprise. After walking over to the DMV we stood another hour and a half waiting to be picked up. Yep you can see the picture. We were REALLY MAD by now. After being picked up we had about a 30 min. ride to Enterprise due to the traffic. Now this is where the experience changed for the better. We got inside and there was what seemed to be a long wait but we were rushed ahead of everyone else. The manager, sorry cannot remember her name, asked me how could she make this up to us. I asked her what do they offer. Of course, they don't offer. I told her I wanted a free upgrade. WOW did she ever do us right. We were place in a 2016 Chrysler 300C. To top it off she gave us a 10% discount. We will continue to do business with Enterprise. Thank you for your southern hospitality!!!! read more

My previous experiences with Enterprise had been very satisfying, but my recent one was not. First, I had scheduled to pick up the rental at 4:00 pm. We did not drive off the lot until 5:30 pm. Second, the rental return was abysmal. Parking was nonexistent, and the environment inside the establishment appeared to be very unorganized. There is no mechanism in place to serve patrons in the order of arrival; subsequently, there were customers served before me that had arrived after I did. I also noted that my reception and attention was substantially different than that of well-known customers. I was not queried as to if I experienced any problems or if I was satisfied with the rental. The agent simply approached me with her hand out for the keys and asked for my pink rental agreement. The experience left me with a very negative perception of Enterprise, so I will probably not use this rental agency again. read more
