My personal vehicle got smashed by someone running a stop sign and in the chaos of getting fighting the other persons insurance company and getting my car to the body shop I forgot my wallet. I have digital copies of license and insurance and they stated they may be able to make an exception. Came back to me 30 min later to tell me I was screwed in Dallas with no ride. Offered nothing else so I payed $90 to get an hour and twenty minute uber ride home. If they had responded quicker I could have had someone run me my wallet before they closed. No alternatives offered. Store seemed under staffed and over whelmed. On a positive note the guy who picked me up from the body shop was very pleasant. This was a well earned one star review for the hell I went through on 4/24/26.

I booked another car from Alamo for seven hours to attend her funeral. Once I arrived I was informed because I had already had a reservation for a car in another city I could not rent another in Dallas. They made zero exceptions to their "rule". Thanks for nothing Alamo. Luckily due to absolute TOP NOTCH service from their competitor next door I was only a few minutes late to her service. The competition went out of their way to find a car (they didn't technically have any) and let me have it for a few hours.

Rockwall Location: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE…read more I needed to rent a car to drive to a funeral in Oklahoma, and this was the only place in my area that had any cars to rent on short notice (3 days). I reserved the car online and my mother paid for it since I do not use credit cards. When I went to pick up the car, they wanted to see the card that was used for the reservation, which I did not have since my mother was already in Oklahoma. I got the card number from my mother and they accepted it. Then they needed a card for a $250 deposit. They needed a physical card so I gave them my debit card. My account had MUCH more money in it than they required, but they declined it with no explanation. At this point they just wanted to give me a phone number to call for a refund of the rental and get me out of their store. I did not need a refund, I needed a CAR! They did not care about my problem, they did not even TRY to find any solutions. They did not even care that they were turning away business! I told them to stop and wait. I had to have my wife come in who DOES have a credit card that we only use for emergencies. So they canceled my reservation and reworked it with HER as the driver. She wasn't even going on the TRIP! Eventually they let me have the car, and the car itself was great. But the ladies at the rental office were rude and uncaring, and have ZERO concept of customer service. It was such a negative experience that, no, I will NEVER use their services again, and no, I would NEVER recommend them for anyone else.
