I would definitely recommend this car rental location. While my car was being serviced nearby, Enterprise had a representative at the dealership assisting customers. They delivered a rental car to me in under 10 minutes. The vehicle was relatively new, low mileage, and sparkling clean, though it did have a few door dings. The representative was professional, helpful, and had a great personality. After I returned the car, a manager followed up to make sure I had a positive experience. Zero star: Unprofessional Conduct and Apparent Damage Scam Do NOT use this service. This location appears to be running a deliberate scam to make customers pay for damages they inflict. The staff member who inspected the vehicle returned from outside looking noticeably nervous, and immediately handed the inspection over to a second staff member to discuss the alleged damages. I firmly believe they damaged the car during the return process and then unprofessionally orchestrated a handover to force me to pay for their doing. Terrible experience renting from Enterprise in Mclean. No warning that if we use our own EZpass we were still going to get charged by enterprise. Jack the local manager was rude in his response. I will never rent from Enterprise again and recommend everyone avoid the McLean location so they do not have to deal with rude managers who do not take responsibility for advising customers ahead of time of this problem. Never had an issue here. I always make a reservation in advance on their app. I sometimes get a call to confirm - so I took a star off for inconsistency but otherwise, nothing to complain of. I do wish they had a better inventory bc some of their cars are downright beat up and just terrible. I know that's not all on them since the inventory changes depending on where/when someone's returning a car from but holy hell- one car didn't have working wipers, one car had a wheel that sounded like it was going to come off, and another one had a big hole on the floor due to the overuse of the area from everyone's heels. read more

If I could have given 0 for this review, I would have given it. The worst experience I have had with enterprise ever. Walked into this location to change my rental which I picked up 2 days ago from a different location due to the car smell SMOKE and this associate with the name Jack Hayes was unprofessional unwilling to assist and when I caught him in his lies, he tried to make my experience a disaster. The car I picked up had a damage all over I even took pictures before I pick it up. He even provided me with a report that shows the car has been damaged all over it. So, when we went outside to change the vehicle, he stated that there is a new damage to the back taillight which existed before. I will be calling the corporate office to file a formal complaint. Much to my surprise, I had a wonderful experience at this location. I walked in without a reservation after going through a rough day as my own car broke down. The two staff members at Enterprise were polite, professional, and super helpful. They had no cars at the moment but one had just been returned, so they rushed to get it ready for me. It took no time at all--I tapped three times on an a tablet, got a text, and was out of there, and they made it easy for me to drop off the car at the garage where my own car was being serviced. Like so many drivers, I've had countless bad experiences with rental car companies (long waits, unclear pricing, mystery charges, reserved cars not being available, etc.), so I was just delighted, for once, to have such a good experience, especially on a day when I needed that! Just turned in a very nice Cadillac SUV at the Enterprise office on Greensboro Drive in McLean, VA. My experience there could not have been better, start to finish. Ethan, who helped me when I got the car, was professional, kind and courteous. Jack, the Branch Manager, was incredibly calm and polite even when he was dealing with numerous calls and in-office clients while I was there returning the car. And Bridget, their staffer, was so friendly and helpful! She brought us by free shuttle back to our relative's place after we turned in the rental, saving us considerable time, money and the trouble of getting a cab. Thank you, Enterprise! I wish zero stars were an option. This is the most unprofessional, disreputable office, and Enterprise corporate should straighten them out. We did a remote drop off at the insistence of the manager, where we didn't get a final check of the condition of the rental, and then one of them damaged the car getting it back to the office. So we were blamed for the carelessness of one of the ill-behaved children employed in this location, and our insurance will get dinged for filing a claim. Because fair or not, the legalese in the leasing agreement ensures that the customer will be found at fault no matter what happens. I will never, ever rent from Enterprise again, and take my advice, always be sure to get a written, photographed documentation of condition upon return of your rental! We trusted the wrong people. Shame on the young man who damaged this car and lied about it; karma will make it right. read more

Is this the Best enterprise location? Absolutely not. HOWEVER, Tyler has been an absolute dream to work with. I'm 100% sure that without him this place would be in shambles. I rented a car while mine is getting repaired and at first I asked to get an earlier pick up time, he was very nice and let me know that they didn't have lots of options for my new time but he still had something I could use. When I did get the rental it ended up smelling like a previous use had been smoking in it and then they tried covering the smell up. In the end the fumes gave me a headache and made me carsick. Tyler got me to swing by right away to exchange it for another car and even went to double check that the other two didn't have a similar issue. Tyler has been handling every customer to what seems to be all day by himself. I'm genuinely impressed and I feel very bad that he's been here answering the phone calls and in person customers. Two other customers also took notice and while service wasn't the fastest he (being the one and only front of house staff) has been faster than any other enterprise or other car rental office in an airport or stand alone. I think they are running a scam. Repair shop that we were using provided a rental car through this Enterprise location. I returned the rental car to the repair shop for pick-up by Enterprise. It was left in perfect condition. That evening we received notification that the car's front passenger bumper was damaged, hanging off the car. Enterprise filed a loss damage report with a claim against me/my insurance. I returned to Enterprise the next morning and took pictures of the passenger bumper hanging off and explained that I did not do this damage. It is also worth noting that the bumper did not look damaged. It looked like bolts had been removed and reassembling would not be an issue. Fortunately, we had security camera video of me leaving my house with the car in perfect condition and a Life360 report showing that I drove straight to the repair shop. We sent this evidence and also requested that they get security footage from the repair shop and their parking lot. They did not provide us with any video and we are not aware of it being requested. Next, we get an email and phone message from the manager stating that everything "looked great" with the car and our deposit would be returned, no mention of damage claim. We followed up to see what happened and another employee sent an email stating that their camera footage showed that I was not responsible for the damage. After requesting more explanation, we received another email indicating the car was damaged by the person that rented the car before me. The car was in good condition when it was rented to me. We have since received video from the repair shop showing Enterprise picking up the car in perfect condition. I saw a similar report on Yelp just three months ago for this same location. Unfortunately, they were not able to avoid the damage claim. I would hate to see this happen to another person. Everyone in the office was very kind and seemed trustworthy. But I returned it with a full tank because I filled it up just before dropping it off. They told me the charge on my card was due to the gas not being full -_-* Just before this all happened, I called a week after dropping of the rental to check if everything was clear and by the way every phone call is at least a 30+mins wait time, the representative said everything was clear. OK. Another week goes by and I get a charge on my card. So no, I do not recommend. read more

This is the second time I am renting a car from this location, both times were pleasant. They picked me up from work and had a car ready for me. The intern was very friendly and had me sign virtually with a tablet. (Because who wants paper work, NOT ME) I can say the gentlemen inside were all friendly and answered all of my questions. While I wasn't thrilled about the car, they may or may not call me back to switch it out :) If you live or work near Tysons Corner, this is a great location and super easy to find. I got conned into signing for insurance I expressly refused several times. I said I did not want additional insurance on the vehicle my insurance company was paying for. I was handed a contract with X's where signatures were required. Yes, it was my fault I didn't double check. Nonetheless, I couldn't have been more clear when I declined the extra insurance. I even told them that my insurance company told me not to accept the extra insurance. I now owe $600 I should never have been charged. So far the employees at this location have been less than helpful. I am following up with corporate and will update this review if the situation is resolved favorably, but I am not optimistic. Oh yeah. The car they rented me was filthy inside and out, with french fries on the floor. The tires were so low the pressure alarm went off shortly after I drove off the lot. If you absolutely must do business with this location, triple check everything before you sign. read more

They actually yelled at and disagreed with my husband. So we show up a little before 0800 when we had a rental for a big truck (Costco, etc, I know...) No pick up in sight. My better half went in and we ended up waiting while they retrieved a pick up from another location and then gassed it up, and then drove it over. Then when the car got there, the guy had the nerves to tell him "it's not that late" and that these kinds of delays "happen in your business too." I really wish that we had the same customer service that all the others have yelped about. But we didn't. And we had no recourse. Why you ask? Because at 0845 when we got the car, they had printed 0745 (the time we showed up) as the time of rental. So in their book, they were 15 minutes early. read more

I have used these guys a dozen times over the last few years, and they are generally outstanding. It's a smaller location, so you don't get your choice of cars like you might at an airport location, but that's to be expected, and I've always gotten a decent car. If you need pick-up, make sure you call WELL IN ADVANCE. It's a smaller branch, and they are pretty busy on weekdays. I had to drop them a star (thought about 2) because I received a car with a non functioning AC. It only blows warm air. This doesn't make me happy since it is getting up in the 70s and I don't have any time this week to switch out vehicles at that location. Also, the vehicle was not clean with coffee spilled on the console and the last person's contract still in the glovebox. (update 2 04/29/14) I was able to exchange the vehicle for another one from another office but it was not the type of vehicle I was supposed to be in. It will do the job and I undertand these things happen but I doubt the ac just went out and the employee took the car without the working ac to pick me and another lady up and rather than tell me the ac didn't work he just rolled the windows down so we didn't notice. read more

The service is terrible. I was charged for the insurance, which I cancelled on the same day. They said they would refund for me; however, it's been 2 months since the day I returned the rental car and I haven't received my money yet. I called many times and they always said that they issued the refund already. However, when I called this morning to ask for my refund, Danny said that his manager wouldn't be in the office a week for his personal reasons and no one else in the office could issue the refund. It sounds ridiculous and illogical since my cousin called back and The manager answered the phone. I will never trust the manager and the staffs here again for any rentals. Terrible customer service. I was lied to constantly by the assistant manager - Casey Northrop. Stay away from this location as they will deceive you and continuously make up lies thinking you won't find out. - context to this review: I left a pair of sunglasses in a vehicle two weeks ago. I have been trying to get them back, but Casey continuously tells me he has been reaching out to the "current" driver and that he doesn't know when it will be returned (except the car was already returned! I've rented from this branch about a half dozen times and I've been very pleased with the service overall. The branch is run by a woman named Elizabeth who is very helpful and customer-focused. The rest of the employees at the branch are good too. A few nice things about the service at this branch: 1. When renting a car over the weekend to run errands, they offered me the discounted rate since I was staying local and would be well under the 100/mi per day limit. 2. A bunch of times I had turned in my car an hour or two late but they waived any overages or hourly charges. 3. Usually my mileage has been so low that they didn't even charge me for the gas I used (probably 1/8 - 1/4 tank). The only downside here is that you they don't seem to offer the pickup service on Saturday because the branch has minimal staff. But they've been fine picking me up on a Friday afternoon and even offered me a ride home a few times (!). read more

I hate to say this but this branch is the worst. I rented a car and it was dark in the night. The car was dirty from inside and there was ash in the car for which I was charged enormous amount of money for cleaning. It was their fault that they gave me an unclean car and kept telling me that the car was cleaned before it can be rented. There was a can of coke and the seat had spots and they said they are okay with renting out such cars and the cleaning guy left the can in there. I have never seen a worst staff. Very unpolite and looking to exhort money. The branch manager Nicholas and his subordinate Michael just don't know how to manage this branch. I asked the manager for the regional manager to call me but he instead charged my credit card despite I told him not to. Shame! read more

I am disappointed that when I went to return my car to the facility on 12/31/16 there was no space available to park without concern of getting towed. I brought the car home and tried again the next day (1/1/17) but still there was no spot available. Calling the help center did not work either because they were closed. Finally on 1/2/17 I was able to return a car to an actual person at this location and they promptly charged me for the two extra days. I am not planning to rent a car from this company again if this is how they treat your customers, without any support over the holidays to answer questions. read more

Something specatular has to happen at an Enterprise for me to give it 5 stars becaus in general I have terrible experiences with the company. I deal with them on a weekly basis for work and it very often unpleasant. However in the downpour I had to book a car for an employee who was stuck on International Dr. after a car accident. The selection they had wasn't extensive and I ended up having to take a small pick-up but they still charged me for an economy. The employee let me park it out front since I was leaving it there for my co-worker and was going to walk back to my office as it was grid-locked on Greensboro. After walking in the rain a block or two I hear my name; the Enterprise guy was chasing me down the street to give me an umbrella. It's stuff like that that restores my faith in humanity. :). Most terrible service when I called I was referred to them via my insurance geico. They made arrangements via a rental for me and when I called the first time they hung up on me the second they point blink told they cannot pick me up from there and with no curtesy to me desregarded all the details I gave him which I had to repeat myself once I got to their other location. The other location said a one hundred doller hold and I am looking at a one hundred sixteen doller hold. My main issue is there odasity to be so ignorant and give misleading info to a customer.
