    Booked a minivan for Friday 9-2-2022 on 8-30-22. I go to pick it up today and when I get there the employee said "my manager wants to speak with you". In my head I wondered about what he wants to talk about. He comes up to my girlfriend and I and mentions that I can not rent a minivan because I am under the age of 25. The most I could rent is a vehicle with up to 5 seats even though online it states how I should be able to rent out a minivan. I will say the website mentions "at most locations" so I suppose it's up to each location what I can and can not rent. I hate the fact that I talk to other people and they mention I can rent out a minivan. But what I REALLY HATE is that I was told this when I pick up. Seriously how hard is it to call and give a heads up " unfortunately you will not be able to rent out the minivan" I've posted a screenshot of what the website says

    I usually rent from an Enterprise about a mile from my home, but i was leaving from my office in the City County Building which made this location perfect. It was a Noon on a sunny, Friday afternoon. I reserved my car the prior week and discovered that I saved money with the Weekend Special ($14.99 per day at 300 miles) than I did with 2 days unlimited miles! It was crazy busy when I walked in but the Staff was cordial and working expeditiously to get us all on our way. After checking my D/L and confirming that I wanted to use the card I reserved the vehicle with I was on my way to the BUSY garage attached to the rental center. Derrick went over the car with me to make sure there was no damage, asked about insurance, blah, blah, blah, gave me options concerning the gas level return, etc. Since I was headed to Cincinnati for some mental health shopping and a visit to Pappadeaux I opted for the .20 per mile overage rather than the more than $10 per day daily rate. My car was a cute, red Nissan Versa, clean inside and out but the WINDOWS were very smeared and cloudy! I must say it handled well on the road and had a little kick to it! The return of the vehicle on Monday morning was fast and friendly. I carefully checked for all my belongings before returning the car, oops, almost left my famous "Reserved" sign! After a long day, it's 10 p.m.----NO GARAGE DOOR OPENER!! I called at 7:05 the next morning, the vehicle has been rented :( However, there was a BOX of door openers---guess this is a normal happening, but none were mine. The driver was called and message was left and as of 7 p.m. no response. I was informed that the vehicle is due back tomorrow and I would receive a call if the opener is still overhead in the vehicle. All in all, great customer service, nice clean vehicle and great value for a Friday to Monday rental ($57.54)! AND I got this cool membership card for future perks and uprades!!

We waited just over 2 hours & at the counter. The lady at the counter couldn't check & see what we would be charged. There was one $300+/-charge that came up on the credit card machine that she explained was a security deposit & to call Avis with questions. The charge should have been $200, but came up $300 and she couldn't explain why. In the parking garage, Josh was the employee working. There were marks on the hood & front area around the hood of the car he was giving us. I was worried about being held responsible for this "damage". Josh explained it was a new vehicle & we wouldn't be charged. When looking inside the vehicle, the car was full of trash, we asked about where charging ports were located & Josh told us to go to a gas station & pick up an adapter. At the garage gate, the wonderful female employee (not being sarcastic, she was great), notated the hood & front-end marks on the "pink slip". She notated that the car only had 4000 miles & that "Josh" hadn't even taken the time to put gas in the car! It had less than 1/8th of a tank of gas. This sweet lady explained to us to take a picture of the "pink slip" that most likely when we return the vehicle, the employees will make that "pink slip" disappear & we would be charged for items that we should not be charged for. We were given a dirty rental car, with trash (cups, sunglasses, receipts, & used band aids), hood & front-end marks, & NO FUEL! Terrible customer service. Upon the end of our trip, we made sure to put more fuel in the vehicle than it had when we picked it up. Later that day two separate charges came through on our credit card. One over $300 & another just under $50. Since returning the vehicle I have had daily emails with Avis disputing these unexpected charges, some of which are for fuel. This has been the most disappointing and frustrating transaction of our trip & we won't be using Avis again. To say we are frustrated is an understatement. My advice is to look into other car rental companies. It seems like such a racket with all these crazy fees and surcharges for everything. Somehow, read the fine print before getting to the counter.

I had rented and paid for a rental from Payless, which is owned by Avis and…read morebudget and when I arrived at the airport, I was told by the lady at the counter that they ran out of cars! It was almost 1 AM so I had no choice but to Uber to my hotel and then Uber to my meetings the next morning! I spent more on Ubers that morning than the rental had cost! After Uber back to the airport, they finally had a car for me and when I turned it in the Avis counter clerk told me that I could get some compensation and gave me his manager's card! I wrote Miss Espinosa an email and included screenshots of my bank account and Uber charges. She wrote back to ask me for my contract number I sent it to her and she GHOSTED ME! Never again!

I…read morecaution anyone not read the fine print- they will try to slam you with a 450 dollar charge for any pet hair, so please make sure you do a sweep before returning if you decide to give this place your business. Although the posted sign says that the fee is for a "smoke smell"- and we don't smoke! So not sure why that charge would ever apply to us but we did have to pick up our dog after vacation so she shed a bit in the front seat. I should have done a quick sweep before returning but my god! $450?! I am sorry- that fee is criminal for some fur- I know the establishment has a detailer in the back, and the man at the desk was incredibly rude and short with me when I was discussing the charge. I get returning the rental in a decent condition. It is not like we blew it up, or caused damage to vehicles whatsoever but that amount is completely absurd for something that will be discarded with the normal clean up process. More so, I am irritated that the guy at the desk was just rude and not understanding or lenient with a little hair... You get what you pay for and they will try to charge you more, so watch out!
