    Dog Poop in back seat

    My rental car was through Budget, but Budget and Avis are the same company so we were directed to this location. We picked up our rental car in the parking garage at the fastbreak booth in Indianapolis at 3:30PM on Thursday August 10. When we opened the car, we noticed a foul odor, and found some food wrappers in the back of the car, so we assumed the smell was from that and that the car would air out. Being that it is dark in the garage, we noticed nothing else. When we arrived at the hotel, I happened to look at the back seat (Middle row actually, passenger side) and saw what appeared to be vomit, or feces spread down the side of the seat, in between the seats and in the area where the seat belt comes through. (pictures attached) We did not have time to go back to the airport from our location, so I found a closer location online. We called the location at · 3905 W 96th St - Ste 500 and spoke with Colton. After asking how he could help us, we explained the situation. Colton then promptly informed us that he had NO cars in stock and we would have to go back to the airport to swap out the car. I asked if there was anything he could do, I would accept a different class of car or whatever we could get. He informed me that he was completely out of cars, there was nothing he could do. So, I called customer care. After sitting on hold, I reached an agent and I explained the situation. She said I could go to any location to swap out the car. I told her that I called the Zionsville location and was turned away. She checked inventory while I was on the phone and said that Zionsville had several vehicles in stock and that I should go there in person and swap out the car. So, off we go. We met Colton at approximately 4:30 (one hour after picking up the car) and I explained that customer care said he had vehicles in stock and that we could get a replacement from him. He stated that time that the only vehicles he had in stock were all due to be rented out THE NEXT DAY. I said, great, I'll take one of those and you can get this one cleaned and ready for your customer the next morning. He then stated that he had already told me that he couldn't help me and that there was nothing he could do. He then turned back to his monitor and began typing something. We were rudely and completely dismissed. I then contacted customer care again and inquired about a refund. I wanted to just leave the car and the dog crap with Colton and go elsewhere. After 20 Plus minutes on hold, I was finally told that Budget was willing to refund 2 days of my rental. So, you give me a car with dog crap in the seats, I had the car for one hour and was refused customer service from Colton in Zionsville and for my trouble you were going to charge me for 2 full days rental?? Not likely. So we went to a friends home, and cleaned the dog crap out of a rental car. Way to go budget. Way to go. So, later that evening I decided to go to the website and see if I could rent a car in Zionsville to replace this car. Imagine my surprise to discover that Colton at the Budget office in Zionsville LIED to me. He had plenty of cars available!!! Screen shots also supplied. So, rather than provide customer service, Colton chose to LIE to avoid have to do any work. That is the reason that there is no way I will ever rent from Budget again. If this is acceptable customer service, I will go elsewhere. You can thank Colton for every dollar I spend at the competition. Flat out lied to an unhappy customer when he could have saved the entire situation. THEN... come to find out, for some reason on that Thursday afternoon, Budget charged my card for an additional $250 for some odd reason. It appears there is a pending refund for that charge, so we will see if it goes through. WHY WAS THE CHARGE ENTERED TO BEGIN WITH???? And, finally, as if that isn't enough. I filled the car up at the Shell station, on the airport property in Indianapolis at 6:52 AM. The car was dropped off at budget at 6:55 and you promptly charged me $54 for not filling the car. The car was filled at 6:52, and turned in at 6:55 FULL. Never again.

    The manager is such a nice and kind person and so wonderful to work with! Actually everyone we interacted with at this location is awesome!

The vehicle was ready to go as soon as I arrived; we did a quick walk-around and I was ready to go in just a few minutes. They provided me with a very nice SUV that ran and rode well. Dante assisted me when I picked up and returned the car; he was both professional and friendly. Another kind female employee even drove me back home when I returned the rental!     I've been renting cars from Enterprise for many years as they are convenient to my home and…read moregenerally have great rates. I rented a car last week because my car was in the shop. Recently, I started ordering my rentals through Costco because you can get a great discounted price compared to ordering directly from Enterprise. The Costco on line ordering is easier to use than the Enterprise ordering process, too. When I picked up the car, the staff seemed a little stressed. It seems they don't have enough cars for the high demands of rentals. That said, they had a Subaru ready for me. The check in process is really easy and the staff friendly. The car was dirty and smelled of smoke. There was also an issue with a film on the windshield that caused glare in dark, rainy weather. Other than those issues, the car ran great, was comfortable and got decent gas mileage. I did tell the clerk about all the issues when I returned the car and they took notes. I'll probably continue to rent from Enterprise, because of the convenience. But I don't think they are able to stand up to the guarantee that they promise customers at this time. I'm rating them a 3 because this is the first time that I ever had issues.
