Worst experience ever. I had my car in the shop and I was told it would take 5 days to get it fixed so I got a rental car. My car was fixed in 1 day so I went to return it and they said I would still be charged the full price. After I protested it they changed it to 1 day rental and they charged me $8 for gas after I took the gas plan with my reservation. I would never ever use them again and I would never recommend anyone using them. read more

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS BRANCH! My experience was close to criminal on their behalf. I was involved in an accident in July. The other driver's policy covered the cost of damages to my car and fees associated to the rental. On August 3rd Caliber Collision had completed the repairs which is the same date I dropped off the rental and took possession of my car. On August 24th I noticed a $409.57 charge to my credit card from Hertz. Immediately I called the policyholder of the other driver. They explained to me that they covered the rental fees because the accident was not my fault. When I explained to the policyholder I was charged $409.57, they said the charge existed because I kept the car from August 4th - August 22nd. Here is the easiest way I can explain this. After I dropped the car off at caliber collision, Hertz failed to pick the car up from August 4 to August 22 even though they were contacted multiple times by caliber collision. The car literally sat in the parking lot for that duration of time. I was charged for that duration of time even though I was not in possession of the car. Hertz managed to charge me for a car I never rented! To make matters worse, these people are almost impossible to contact. You would be lucky to have someone assist you by actually picking up the telephone. When I was lucky enough to actually speak with someone, Cory the manager at that branch, never once called me back even after I left multiple messages. At this particular point in time the issue has in fact been resolved. September 18th I finally received my reimbursement after i spoke with corporate. read more

Penske Auto now runs all Hertz locations in the area. All contracts are stamped: "Vehicle exchanges not allowed." This means if your car breaks down, you cannot exchange it for a working one at any Hertz location (like you could when Hertz owned the Indy locations). Also, the tolling equipment -- if used -- charges you $4.95 per day even if you don't use the toll booth. Read your contract. This location is open Sunday -- a plus. All the cars are new--another plus. However, renting outside Marion County avoids the 17% tax. Still, renting here avoids the airport fees. Had a nice Toyota Versa. read more

Absolute trash. Will never be renting from Hertz again. My credit card was charged over 700$ with no explanation for a rental of only 3 days. After being put on hold for hours and calling numerous times I was told I was charged a smoking fee. When I asked for proof as neither myself or anyone else who rode in the car smokes, I was told they smelled black ice which is an air freshener.... still confused as to how that means I was smoking when there was no ash to prove I was or anything else. Honestly the worst experience I've had and wouldn't recommend anyone ever rent from this company unless you want to lose a bunch of money with no explanation. read more

My boyfriend rented a 7 passenger suv on Thursday May 21st. The check in went smooth but he thought it was weird that the woman helping him followed him the to car & said in an unprofessional manner do not smoke in this car it's non smoking you will get charged & we will know if you smoked. He just laughed it off like ok. We don't smoke so it's not a big deal. He mentioned it to me & I was like that's weird but oh well we are headed on vacation. The return date was today May 26th. He returned the suv & the same lady came up to my car & said I will have to charge you for smoking weed in the rental. She said there are ashes in the window sills & near the dash. We got out of the car & I took pictures of the crumbs & dirt. She actually told my boyfriend look at your shirt it has ashes on it. I took a picture of that also. It was cookie crumbs! We will NEVER in our lives rent from this location again. She got a 2nd opinion who went straight in & sat in the car & said it was fine! Also the inside of the suv was dirty when he picked it up! Someone left old napkins, chip bags, & a pair of glasses in it. We should have just rented from the airport that is 40 mins away instead of the Hertz that is 2 mins away from our home. I have never in my life felt so disturbed by a person working for a rental company! We have rented from Hertz several times and this is the only time we have had a problem. We were on a family vacation, what kind of parent smokes in front or around their 4 children let alone smoke weed! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO RENT FROM! I wish I would have got this lady's name. She had on khakis and a black and white striped shirt with blonde hair. BEWARE!! If I can upload the pictures on here I will! Hope Hertz sees this & she gets the proper training she needs because no one should feel the way we felt when we left there! I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode..."they know how to TAKE the reservation, they just don't know how to KEEP the reservation. The location is staffed by two poor guys who were struggling. They were waiting on people out of order, while the phone was ringing and ringing and no one was answering. The person ahead of me also had an issue with their "reservation". When it was all said and done, I waited 55 minutes to get in a car that I had "reserved". Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. Personally, I prefer the folks at Enterprise on Michigan Road. read more

Looks are deceiving w/ this one. Its located inside of Courtyard at the Marriot. The office itself was like a storage closet. It literally didn't have windows. When I was there it was extremely busy. They guys were both nice, but they manager asked me if I wanted to get into a dirty car so he didn't have to vacuum it. My response was NO! Other than that nice place overall. read more

Meh. I had a rental from this location while my car was at the body shop following a fender bender. The insurance company scheduled the car, but it was a pain to confirm because this office almost never picked up their phone and when I called Hertz corporate, they couldn't find my reservation in the system. I don't blame the employees at this office for being flustered because it literally is a storage closet, and they seemed way overbooked-- the phone was constantly ringing when I was there and the computers were running on what looked like Windows 98. They didn't walk me out to the car or anything, and while the vehicle was fine it had dents and was a bit dirty. The hours were inconvenient and again, getting any information was nearly impossible as they only picked up maybe once out of the 7 times I had called. At least state farm picked up the tab for this one! read more

As we walked into the shop, a person that paid for gas came in and complained that there was no gas in the car. They said sorry and gave him a different car. When we came up to the counter we found out that they had no SUVs available and so they offered us a van. We said yes and then paid and left the office. When we got out to the van, it was not clean. We went back into the store, complained and had to wait for the van to be cleaned. Once we got on the road, the service engine light came on. Avoid this place. read more
