All staff members I spoke with were pleasant and helpful. However, the car I received was crap. First of all, after having my reservation before my trip began in NC, I was given the choice of a mini van or wait for my medium size SUV. I waited. The car was absolutely filthy inside. It had been vacuumed but that was pretty much it. The door cards on both front doors were disgustingly dirty and ALL windows, inside and out, were so bad I had to wash them to be able to see to drive! In addition, the car had previously been smoked in (probably several times) but some sort of spray had been used right before the car was brought to me. The door was so strong it made me nauseous. I had to keep windows open and purchased a Renuzit Air Freshener to place inside the vehicle. I called Customer Service to report the car had been smoked in and that as a non-smoker I wanted a note made in my rental contract that I WAS NOT the smoker! I understood from the gentleman I spoke with I would be given a break on the rental cost BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! All around, I will not trust renting through this Enterprise location ever again!! read more

I have first off lived at the same address for 3 years a traveling nurse so yes it is a hotel but still my residence. I have rented cars from enterprise at least once or twice a year in the said last 3 years. My first time there was a problem that they still were charging a 500$ deposit w a credit card so I had so I moved the money to another card and we were on our way. The next time we went there was another issue and it took a couple hours to get it fixed but we still got the vehicle today I go and left w nothing this time they said they needed a utility bill because we were paying w a debit card but I have paid w debit every time so the manager printed up something from the hotel showing it's my residence and still nothing will never go back. Avis and hertz both no issues and didn't ask for a utility bill. And the deposit was only 300 at Avis read more

The other Enterprises would not let us rent because there were no more cars so we rented one at this airport Enterprise. I would give 0 stars if I could. Probably the most humiliating experience we had trying to get a similar car after a flat tire at roadside. We started in a 7-seater, were downgraded to a compact car at an intermediate location and sent to Indianapolis airport with guarantees that we could get a 7-seater from there. The manager (Nick) at Enterprise counter could not have been more condescending. His words were "you brought me a compact and you expect to switch a 7-seater for that?" . This is after he could see in the system that we started our journey in a 7-seater. During our more than an hour long wait, trying to get a resolution from Enterprise, we observed two people walk up and switch cars. I don't know what made our request invalid - was it the way we looked? Enterprise made it clear that they could not help us. Their recommendation was to make a new reservation for a 7-seater. At this point, we had had enough. So we returned our compact car to Enterprise and rented the 7-seater from Avis next door. And by the way, Enterprise still charged us for a 7-seater. They didn't have my reserved vehicle so I was offered another. Looked in it and didn't think it would fit my needs. Ended up going with a van (so I thought). One of the people traveling with me didn't want to have such tight leg room (3rd row seat). So I looked at 2 other vehicles. Each time the service representative Lela was so nice and understanding. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. They gave me a Malibu that when I went to pick up my coworker to head out to a corporate meeting the tire psi light came on. I went to put air in the tire the sensor must had been broke because the psi would not move. As soon as I hit 65 mph the front end would shake. Missed my flight and had a very long day of traveling. I didn't have the opportunity to call Enterprise and inform them so I was a little worried they wouldn't have a car available when I arrived at almost 10pm. I was very relieved when they still had a car for me and also had options. In the past at other locations this has not been the case. After checking out at the desk I walked over to the garage and was greeted by David. He helped me find a car that would fit my needs and was really friendly in the process. Left with NO CAR despite a reservation! Showed up at the end of the day to pick up the car. Had a reservation done days in advance with a payment method locked in, I was fully checked in online 2 days ahead of time. I even called the branch ahead of time to make sure they are aware that my flight was coming around midnight and it will be a late pick up, I was assured that was fine since they stay open till 2am. When I got there, first there was no associate on site (picture attached). Then I was informed they run out of cars due to overbooking. Me and about 30 other people with reservations were left with NO CARS at 2am at night. I don't know how else one can ensure a booking with you, Enterprise? That's the whole point of a RESERVATION. My actual rental experience was good. They were professional and the car was in good condition. My error was I left a pair of prescription sunglasses in the car. I called them an hour later and asked them to see if they could find them. They said they would put the message through and get back to me. No one ever did. I called three days later and they said they would expedite it to see if they could find the glasses and ship them back to me. I realize I made the error and forgetting something. I have rented with Enterprise multiple times over the course of many years and never had an experience like this. March 24,2025 at 5AM. Makayla is beyong rude: slamming her mouse, cursing, closing door in our face so we couldn't talk to her, never explained why price went up $200 and then never sent a rental agreement. I always reccomend Enterprise, but I do not think I will anymore. I let another crew member know how rude she was and all they said was "she has been here all night and this isnt the first problem". Some people do not need to work in customer service or around people in general. Makayla made this experience 0/10. I would give less than 1 star if I could. read more

These people accept reservations even when they don't have cars available. After we had car trouble while on a road trip to move our daughter in to college, we called the Amex concierge service, who reserved a car with us through Enterprise. When we showed up at the airport after a very LONG day, we were unapologetically told they had no cars available, and that their system has no way of preventing reservations, even when they are out of cars. We were told they might have one "later," but they couldn't say when "later" was, maybe after midnight when the last flights for the evening came in, if someone didn't show up...and the agent kept saying, "as I said to the person in front of you in line," (who had also reserved a car and not gotten one) as if we were supposed to have listened to their conversation and known the same situation applied to us. I hadn't been eavesdropping on the customer in front of us, but the desk agent seemed annoyed that he had to repeat the same information about why they take reservations even when they don't have cars. We walked over to Hertz, and they graciously helped us find a vehicle large enough to fit all our daughter's dorm stuff. Here's the thing, Ebterprise, and please use this to train your staff to have some empathy. When someone makes a same-day rental car reservation, it's usually because of some unplanned and stressful situation, like their plane was late or their car broke down or they were in an accident or someone died and they need to travel at the last minute. It's not because they are poor planners, but because something unexpected happened. People in these stressful situations do not need the added stress of the car they reserved not being available. Never again. We will always used Hertz from now on. They have never screwed us over like this. read more

Tip: Don't go to the kiosk if you don't have a bar code or a scan code you have to go to the counter. Ellen helped me at the counter. She was SUPER sweet. Even before I got up to the counter the guy she was helping seemed really happy with her too! She complimented my hair as I walked up to the counter and let me tell you... who doesn't like a compliment!? Lol She was polite, funny, and genuinely seemed like she really enjoyed her job, which is refreshing. The place where I actually go pick up the car is a hop, skip and a jump away - so, super convenient. The guys that were outside were professional, courteous and really nice as well. There was a wait for cars as they were in some type of spring break rush and Ty offered me a bottled water. Malik continued with great conversation. And the car was even better than I had hoped! Upon arriving at the Enterprise counter in Indianapolis I was told they would not be able to honor my reservations because they were made through a third-party Expedia (confirmation 72923078447056) less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick up time. I checked with the other two car rental companies at the Indianapolis airport and was told that they were also out of cars apparently because there is a race in town. This set off a chain of events which completely ruined my trip, cost me money and a tremendous amount of aggravation. First, I spent over two hours in the Indianapolis airport getting absolutely no help from the local enterprise employees. After calling enterprise I was told how incredibly sorry they were and they would escalate the issue and I would receive a call back within 15 minutes with a solution. The call NEVER came. 30 minutes later I called enterprise back and was told that a car was going to be delivered to me from another location. Enterprise provided me with the phone number location (317-848-9344) and I spoke to Blake who told me he didn't know what they were talking about and I would need to pick up the car in Carmel Indiana which was over 40 minutes away. I then received an email (confirmation 1470854813) that yes, in fact I would need to pick up the car in Carmel Indiana. At this point I had already missed my first meeting which was to be held in Indianapolis. My second meeting was in Fort Wayne, over two hours away so I had to pay Uber $246.01 to take me from Indianapolis to Fort Wayne. I then had to pay another $36.91 to take me from my meeting in Fort Wayne to the Fort Wayne airport to rent a car from another company to go on to my final destination, Cedar Rapids Iowa. What a nightmare!!!!! When I returned home from my trip I contacted Enterprise through the chat feature on their website and was told "how extremely sorry they were for the inconvenience and someone will reach out to me shortly". We always use Enterprise when we travel, but this location went above and beyond for us. Whenever possible, we like to rent the same car we drive at home, so it's less to adapt to when you are already in an unfamiliar environment, so I reserved a BMW X5. When we arrived, we were directed to an Audi Q3, which is also a very nice car, but I did ask if they had an X5 or even an X3. The woman helping us said she would check, and boy did she! She moved several other cars out of the way to get us the X5, and it was a very nice model with fewer than 1k miles on it. This made our week in Indy that much nicer, and we will for sure use this Enterprise location every time we are in the Hoosier state to see our family. read more

Unfortunately had a poor customer service experience at this branch recently. I wouldn't typically post something publicly, but I have been unsuccessful getting the required support/attention through traditional means. After dropping car off at this site I realized I left my airpods in the car. I went through the normal process of filling out a lost item report. Then I tracked my airpods and realized they had immediately been taken out of the car and were at a nearby apartment complex where they've since been for more than 1 month. This leads me to believe that an Enterprise employee may have taken the item. After providing all of this information, including the exact address of the items, I have not been able to get any action. I believe it is reasonable to suspect that an employee took the item and also reasonable for the company to look into this adequately due to the circumstantial evidence, but this has not been the case. read more

I had a car accident, that was not my fault, and was assigned a rental car through State Farm. This branch said they didn't have any cars available until 2 days after the insurance company contracted them. Upon setting up the reservation, I told them I had a temporary license. Mine had been lost during the accident. Nothing was said at that time that it would be an issue. Upon going to pick up the car today, I was refused a car since my license was in paper form. I stood in line for 20 minutes just to be turned away. There were 8 employees, with 2 customers, working in the office. The website says they can be refused IF there is no there way to verify identity. The employee did not attempt to verify my identity. They just said no. They said it could not be scanned. There is a barcode that she did not attempt to scan. It's an official temporary license printed for me, by the BMV employee. This is the second negative experience I have had at this branch. The first time they gave me a car with NO gas. I had to ask to have it filled up and they acted put out. I will not use this company again. read more

I ended up having to drive about 25 miles to get a vehicle I could use, I wanted to pick up a full size suv on the northeast side of Indianapolis but ended up getting a Chrysler Pacifica at the Brownsburg Indiana location. That was after getting jacked around at the Millersville location, the West Washington and the Avon Indiana location, the young lady at the Brownsburg location was very accommodating and if I should ever rent from Enterprise again but i'm pretty sure I won't it would definitely be the Brownsburg location. Rented a car for a week,,garbage firstly, totally dissatisfied! I felt my family was in danger because the windshield wipers were horrible when I ran into rain! The bumper was falling off when another car notified me about it on the highway! I had to return it to enterprise and it was replaced quickly! I went to the browns burg location and dropped off near Indianapolis airport. I will say when you call the number they have on the website the customer service is HOORRRIBLE. Like extremely horrible your better off doing everything yourself. If you want to have a good experience do it yourself haha first of all the representative just seemed like he didn't want to help. I called in twice so I know for sure this can't be anything new. When I was ready for pick up I called and got transferred to the actual store. When renting a car, I was asked about all the add on options, and specifically stated I did not want the add on fuel, and the lady at the counter repeated it back to me. Then, when getting the car, the next employee told me to bring it back empty, to which I replied, no, I will bring it back full, I don't want that option. So he told me he changed it. Then, upon return, I brought it up AGAIN because it was still on there. The lady told me, after having to argue with her, ok I went ahead and it took it off the charge. Had I not had a flight to catch, I would have gone back, because she LIED. Completely lied to my face, and still charged the entire amount. Really horrible way to do business. Really this is just a general complaint about Enterprises misleading business practices. 1) Reserving a car is no guarantee that they will actually have a car for you. Luckily someone turned in a car two days early at our pick up location or we would have been late to our new job orientation. 2) Their 24 hour billing cycle doesn't take into account one changes so even going from Central to Eastern we lose an our on our rental. Don't call it a 24 hour period if it's not 24 hours. They don't tel you that and it's not in writing anywhere easily accessible to the renter. I called enterprise customer service ahead of time and got all of my answers promptly. I had a late flight (landed at 1:30am) and enterprise still held my car since I had entered my flight info. Returning the car was an extremely easy and quick process, and they even threw away a large luggage for us that we needed to dispose since it had broken. My only suggestion is that their signage for late check in is more clear- but overall the experience at this location was great! read more

I could not be more disappointed in the service of the Indianapolis Airport Enterprise. I'm not one to leave harsh reviews but in this case it's well deserved. I was traveling to Indy for business and the first car I was given I didn't even make it out of the parking garage before the engine maintenance light came on. I turned around and they were quick to give me another vehicle. But interested of giving me a vehicle of equal or better grade they put me in a car that the wheels were basically falling off. Before leaving I asked the service provider if they had anything else because the interior of the car was far below acceptable. The carpets were pulled out of the seams, there were stains on the seats and the car just looked like it was very poorly kept. He didn't respond to my question, so I asked if he could at least annotate all the flaws so I wouldn't be charged for any preexisting damage. Again he didn't respond. After returning the car I get an email from enterprise that I had an outstanding balance. What?! Now I'm being charged for gas when the vehicle was full upon returning it. WOW! I'm speechless. I love enterprise and they have never done me wrong in the past. But this experience was far beyond unacceptable! read more

Normally, I wouldn't bother with reviewing a car rental place. They all work the same and they treat you the same (except for the budget rentals who are just out to get you). This time however, I was impressed with the customer service at enterprise. It was great from the time I booked the car all the way till I brought it back. On route, the car did have some minor trouble. They were very helpful over the phone and took care of all the charges when I got back, which I really appreciated because I wasn't able to finish all the work I had to do in the city. I've used this Enterprise location numerous times and always gotten a good price on car rentals, as well as excellent service. Plus, in the winter, they warm up your car for you so you don't hop into a freezing cold vehicle. Once, my ex and I were traveling and stayed overnight at a hotel in Indianapolis before heading up to visit my family. It wasn't until we got to the hotel on the other side of town that he realized he couldn't find his backpack...which also contained his laptop. We were freaked out, but when we called Enterprise, it turned out it was at their office sitting right where he left it. Only in Indiana can you forget $2,000 worth of stuff in a car rental office and have it still be there an hour later. -1 star because there isn't a nearby gas station; they really need to provide people information on the closest one. This review is for the Enterprise facility that's located in the Indianapolis airport. Yep, yet another typical Enterprise experience: Upsell! Upsell! Upsell! I don't need anything beyond the car I rented -- and I especially don't need any redundant insurance, unless I'm absolutely certain that this trip is going to take me over The Bridges of Hazzard County or to several distilleries. What I've reserved is what I want, and then I want to get to wherever I need to go. Ah, yes... that insurance. I don't need is some guy asking "do you want basic or full insurance"? Buddy, *no* insurance. I got the GEICO gecko making good for my poor decisions, and a credit card that covers for any remaining wreckage from poorly-executed handbraking. Oh, and you don't need to know my insurance deductible, and you don't need to remind me that the car has "no insurance" for the 3rd time as I'm driving away. What I also don't need is some guy making it sounds like I'd be big pimpin' upgrading to a larger Nissan by referring to my intermediate car as "small." Read the reservation. I'm not ballin' in Indy and therefore have no need 2b rollin hard on 17's in an Altima, yo. What I do need is a car that gets cleaned on the inside occasionally. Pry the mystery crust off the passenger seat and bulldoze the dust from the dash, and maybe I'll personally recognize your effort by sliding you the 75 cents in commission you would have got had I submitted to your upsell pitches. The complimentary bottle of water at the counter saved Enterprise from the depths of one-stardom -- plus the fact that at this airport (which is impressive and new) I can actually walk to the rental cars without having to wait to take some short-bus around the block. I have a corporate plan with Enterprise, which in addition to getting me a jaw-dropping 5% discount is supposed to get my impatient ass outta any airport fast. It's time to see who else has a better plan for me than that. read more
