Broken vehicle

Please do not rent from this location or company. Vehicle broke down in middle of the night, several different tow truck companies tried to move the vehicle but no luck, police calling us all night to move the vehicle. Cannot get replacement car, went to airport locations and was told nothing we can do for you, text and calls zero help. Stay away from Avis/Budget.

Extremely slow and inefficient service. I waited for over an hour for "preferred service"!

Everything went smoothly at the counter. I reserved the car before I arrived. Just needed to complete the paperwork. The counter rep was helpful and I was able to add a second driver.Since gas isn't getting any lower I decided to prepay for the gas. Once in the garage I noticed some damage on the rental vehicle the attendant at the exit notated it . It was nothing to make me switch cars. I'd use them again .

The 100 foot long, two hour line at Avis, where, despite knowing their rental reservations, they only had two people working. Slowly.

By the time my wife and I get our rental car at Avis at Indianapolis airport we will have waited in line for two hours. Avis sucks.

If I could give zero stars I would. Kelly was the customer service agent who I felt with who had no care for customers at all. I asked for her name, she said, "it was none of my damn business." I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism. I was in line with my family, they said I didn't need to be there and I could help my crying baby. She then asked for my ID in addition to my fathers. When I came back to the counter, she laughed and said you need to get back in line. I asked if she was serious, because she had clearly seen me in line with my family and heard my crying son. She rolled her eyes and asked, "if I thought she was playing?" I then went back in line and when it was my turn, she picked up a phone for 10-15 minutes rather than helping me. After that she finally saw me. I asked to speak with her manager and she said he wasn't around. She finally gave me the car my family and I reserved (she gave my family one car, but not the other one, I reserved both). I asked her again for her managers name and she rolled her eyes and said, "I'll give you his card, but that's it." The lack of care for customers was astonishing and I feel bad for Avis, because one bad face to a company can spread a bad reputation. I do not want anything from Avis, because I would hope that's nothing they condone. I would like to be updated on her being reprimanded or at the very least, put through better customer service raining. Kelly gave me the card of her boss, not sure if it is really him, John Landrum Telephone# 317.260.5810 I called this number and it just rang with no answer or voicemail. I would really appreciate a contact back on this issue as I was there for a really long time with a 5 month old baby for no reason other than a disgruntled employee on a power trip. I would like to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future because of one bad apple.

However, the car I received was crap…read more First of all, after having my reservation before my trip began in NC, I was given the choice of a mini van or wait for my medium size SUV. I waited. The car was absolutely filthy inside. It had been vacuumed but that was pretty much it. The door cards on both front doors were disgustingly dirty and ALL windows, inside and out, were so bad I had to wash them to be able to see to drive! In addition, the car had previously been smoked in (probably several times) but some sort of spray had been used right before the car was brought to me. The door was so strong it made me nauseous. I had to keep windows open and purchased a Renuzit Air Freshener to place inside the vehicle. I called Customer Service to report the car had been smoked in and that as a non-smoker I wanted a note made in my rental contract that I WAS NOT the smoker! I understood from the gentleman I spoke with I would be given a break on the rental cost BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! All around, I will not trust renting through this Enterprise location ever again!!

But what I experienced was completely unacceptable…read more I had my breathing machine locked in my rental car--something I rely on to breathe and function--and there was absolutely no one available to help me access it. I was essentially left without a medically necessary device because your company had no system in place for emergencies. It is beyond unreasonable to expect someone to wait until 8:00 in the morning to access something they need to survive. This isn't about convenience--this is about basic human safety. I cannot understand why security does not have access to a key or any way to open the lockbox in a situation like this. That is a serious failure on your part. When a company deals with customers traveling at all hours, there should always be an emergency solution in place. While I will acknowledge that the staff I interacted with when I picked up my rental were friendly, that does not make up for the fact that I was left without access to something I need to breathe. Because of this, I would not recommend this company to anyone. It is alarming that every other rental company in the terminal had someone available to assist, yet your company did not. No customer should ever be put in a position where their health is at risk due to a lack of basic support. Now before anyone says well you left it. Yes I did and like my first paragraph says people make mistakes.

Crazy that there are a lot of really low scores. Maybe I was just really lucky. The person was very helpful and friendly at the desk. I pre-purchased when booking, but the person went through the usual song and dance (offering insurance, how I want to return the gas tank, etc.). Standard stuff really. They didn't have the level of car I booked so they upgraded me. Once the paperwork was done they instructed me to head out to the stall and get in the car. Just a really streamlined and easy experience. The vehicle was nice and I was excited to get on the road. The exiting process was standard and easy as well. This airport had easy to follow signs on the return. I cleaned up what I could and got my stuff and left the car along with the keys in the return area. Smooth sailing!

The only reason i give this 3 star is because management fixed the problem quick and easy. i only paid like $230 for collision and deposit. if i were you i WOULD NOT go to front counter, go straight to the managers at the HERTZ office outside. The cars are nice and well kept however.

Unhelpful customer service, no way to reach local office. No matter what number you call it gets…read morererouted to the national office. They tell you that they might just be experiencing a high volume of calls and to just keep calling them. The national office also will not help you if you made your booking through a third-party. They claim that they can't even put notes on the reservation, but they also claim that they can't see a flight added or any information that was added when we made the reservation initially. They need to fix their issues with third-party companies and either make it to where they can actually see what people are putting in with those outside reservations or be able to still modify them internally, regardless of how they were made. They basically told us since our flight was delayed past closing "make other arrangements instead" and to just show up a see if someone waited for us and maybe realized we were delayed. For context this has happened before, I had booked with Avis, added my flight when initially booked, called customer service to let them know that it was going to be delayed, and they stated that they added the flight as well. It was apparently not added and I was told that missing my rental pick up was my fault because I did not add the flight number and I did not get a refund. Recommend trying other rental companies at this airport, we gave them a second chance and it's somehow worse the second time. Hope we can get a refund this time if we aren't able to get our car.
