    I began my journey at the Buck-town location and the hunt to rent a car ended with disbelief at the Lincoln Park location. The reservation was confirmed the night before and pick up time was at 7:30am. It was a 1 day rental with a plan to reach Kentucky in time to make it back and take a flight to PDX. As I walked into the Buck-town location, I overheard a customer speaking to an employee about a car rental and the employee stated there was no rentals available. The employee asked if he had a reservation and the customer confirmed it with a reservation number. He also had explained that his car was getting fixed across the street from the enterprise. He received his reserved vehicle. I was redirected to the Lincoln Park location and from there redirected to the loop location and decided to give them a call. No vehicles available and I asked if there were any locations that had available vehicles and the woman on the phone asked me to hold while she checked and said there was available vehicles in the Lincoln Park location. She asked if I wanted a sedan or an suv that was available. I chose a sedan. I asked her if she was completely sure there was anything available and she replied with a yes. The manager Brian assisted me with my reservation and asked for my license, credit card, and then confirmation number. As he began to "look it up" he said he did not have anything available for me. He stated all the vehicles were rented and the ones he had were going to have to go through some repairs(lot was full). A customer returned a vehicle and then another returned a set of multiple keys, I came back and asked to use the vehicle that was returned and the manager said it was already reserved. However, my reservation was scheduled for 10:30 am. No one was there to pick up any vehicles. The manager continued to say that he had 50 reservations ahead of me and did not know why the corporate location made a reservation for me. I asked him if he could call any other location to get me a vehicle, and he said they wouldn't answer a call coming from their location. I could say it probably would not benefit them to rent a car for a day but it's just a speculation. My experience was frustrating and a total disappointment with every redirection and not a single enterprise employee- willing to further assist me by communicating with their team members to make sure I would get a vehicle today. I assume the enterprise Locations are competing against each other since they are refusing to communicate and refer customers to locations with available vehicles. It would be best to work as a team, limit reservations to available vehicles to avoid having 50 confirmation numbers(false pre-tense) and avoid a biased selection of the individuals renting out the vehicles. I know it doesn't make sense, 50 reservations and a small lot with under 20 cars. One can only speculate.. I find the Enterprise company to be unprofessional, disorganized, but as they say, "you get what you pay for."

I made it to Hertz at this location @12:50 and thee above image is what I saw when I got there. I went on line, to find a 800 number or even a number to SPEAK with a live person. I finally was able to speak with someone after 1pm after I canceled the rental. A prompt popped up saying, "Are you sure you want to cancel your pickup, you have a 2 hour grace period to pick up your car!" I called until I was able to speak with someone. Now, they will tell you that if you cancel the rental, you lose $100. The prompt also said that (since I scheduled this car on that Friday) I was not in the time frame of cancelation for them to take my $100, but it was difficult to reach anyone. Finally, speaking with someone. The promotion that I received when I scheduled my appointment was lost. I had to pay more for the rental that I had to pick up from the airport, which was absolutely unfair. I felt like I was penalized for my determination, and I wanted the same price that I received initially, which i did not get. The car (a KIA Soul) was filthy. It was not clean ( I have pics as well) and it smelled like dog. I wanted to post my experience (truthfully) just so that you are aware. Thanks for reading my review.

    Suspicious damage claims. I did a walk around when I got to the car. I did notice some small…read morescratches on a side panel, very minor but I thought I better take a picture just in case. I scanned in the QR code to get to my rental, and there were several places (maybe 5 or 6 damage spots) already noted, but not the small scratches. I didn't notice any of the already noted damage, and first I thought "if they already acknowledged that much damage, these small scratches are negligible", but I took pictures anyway. I uploaded photos to their website and received a web page response "We will contact you in a few days if we have questions". Two days after returning the car I received the "there was damage on your rental car" email. They sent pictures, and it was exactly the small scratches I had taken pictures. Then they sent another email the next day indicating more damage. That spot was also in the photo I had uploaded. Paint had come off. I did not notice the damage they claim, but it was captured in the photo I took when I picked up the car. They had parked the car in such a way that the glare from the sun reflected off the paint into "white areas" - the damage they noted looks like sun reflection. To me it seems they intentionally parked the car in such a way to hide the already present damage. I responded to their email and again uploaded the photos I had taken to report scratches. The pictures I uploaded to yelp are the same pictures I uploaded to Sixt before I drove the car. It shows the sun glare, the scratches I was reporting, and the damage I luckily captured in my photo. Hard to see the rear paint damage because of the sun glare on the paint (there was no dent only missing paint). Only the right most circled spot and the scratches are the damages they claim I did, the other white spots are sun glare. TBD what SIXT does at this point.
