I felt judged by multiple staff members, because my ID wouldn't scan. They treated me like I had a fake ID or something which was pretty funny because I provided my insurance as well and they still had to talk their manager into "letting" me take a test drive. I came one evening after just making an appointment maybe thirty minutes beforehand, and I was connected with Raphael. There were two cars that I was interested in, and while one of them wasn't available at the time, I was able to look at the other car I was interested in; the other was at another Enterprise location and not on site at the time. I would have liked an offer to test drive the car I saw, but I acknowledge I arrived here about fifteen minutes before the place closed, which is a little late perhaps. Raphael is a great conversationalist, and after the we met he followed up with me and even let me know when the other car I was interested in was available for viewing/test driving. I will say that he's not the best at remembering our conversations since he called me back more than once after I told him I would need a while before I got back to him, but he's overall friendly and professional. At this point though I had already seen another car in the area that was more competitively priced than Enterprise's, but I'll definitely keep Enterprise in mind for future business.

    Rented a vehicle from the Manchester location. Had it for a few hours and the "maintenance…read morerequired " indicator came on. Drove towards home. Then the tire pressure light came on. Knew that wasn't good. Parked car at home because I was afraid to drive all the way down Manchester to return it. Roadside assistance did not answer. Initially getting into the car, there was no proof of the "sanitizing procedures" they claim to perform on each and every vehicle for the safety of the customers. THREE strikes against this location. AGAIN! Shame on us for using them. And be warned , they are NOSY. When doing the walk around to check for dings etc (which were already in the car before driving it off the lot) , the employee asked where I was going to be driving and why I was renting. What?????? Both of which are none of their business. The GALL of these employees is on another level. Unprofessional, nosy, and let's throw in rude as they accused ME of driving over a nail. Which didn't happen. Did it occur to them that most likely the prior driver had done this? What a disgusting and vile experience. Sorry Enterprise. You have gone too far DOWNHILL for us to ever come back. And we are upper level members. Truly unbelievable and inexcusable, Please please be warned......go somewhere else. In addition, the manager didn't do his job as he was asked to have the vehicle towed Saturday when we returned the key, (because roadside assistance wasn't answering,) and due to his rush to get off work,and his lack of professionalism , this ugly blue car sat from Friday afternoon until? .....It's now Monday morning 8:15 am. No sign of a tow truck. Absolutely a nightmare ....stay away. Shame shame shame As the CEO claims, "customers first...". That's almost laughable at this point. Requested for the 5th time a tow for this rental car sitting here e for almost 72 hours blocking my contractors at my home. Again, a 40,000 + mile 2020 Audi. Since when does Enterprise lease old vehicles????? Over 90 minutes later, no tow truck ! This just gets better and better. Think they care about customers?? Absolutely not. Time to man up and face your pathetic inconsistencies and lack of vehicles as well. What a shame St. Louis is the "world headquarters " for this sham of a business. They could care less about the people renting their cars. Fleets? Where are the fleets located. Certainly not in this town.

A few days before we were to pick the car up, my husband happened to be by the pick up location and noticed that the building was shut down and the Hertz sign was no longer in place. He called Hertz and asked where we should pick up the car on Saturday, June 1. He was given an alternate pick-up address which turned out to be a truck pick up location only AND when we arrived there was a note stuck on the door which read 'Closed on Saturdays until further notice'. We then spent the next hour on hold with Hertz trying to figure out what to do. Once they answered, the only options were to pick a car up at the airport at double the cost OR void the contract which started Saturday, June 1 and start a new contract starting Monday, June 3. We choose option 2 and went to pick up the car Monday, June 3 at which time we are told having 2 drivers on the car costs $13/day extra. However, the agent said if we signed up as a Gold Member the $13 fee gets waved. We started to sign up, she said there was no need. Just finish the contract, sign up as a Gold Member and call an 800# to apply the difference. You can probably guess what happened based on the stellar service received thus far. We called the office and were told that it would only apply to future rentals. We asked to speak to a manager. There were none available but we could leave our number and hear from someone in 72 hours. Wow. All I can say is do not rent a car from Hertz. It is frustration from start to finish!!

Upon…read morearrival, the young girl who was in the counter directly received me and my partner with an attitude. They didn't want to take my partners card without a bill for water or electricity under his name. We told her that it comes included in our rental agreement, so we don't have them. However, we can show the payments for our rental (which includes this). The lady just closed off, passed us to this other young guy, AND LEFT! I told him that I have an international driver's license that I will take the rental under my name, and he started asking me questions as if he was an official from customs and border protection. He then started to make excuses and raised his voice asking me for my passport right away. I gave him my US residence card, and he said that this is not a valid ID. Come on! We are in 2024 and enough is enough. Having lived and worked in the US for almost 10 years and I still find this BS people. NO ONE IS CARRYING A PASSPORT 24/7 AND LESS WHEN I DO HAVE A VALID RESIDENCE AND ID CARD FROM THE US. This is horrible customer service, not correct, and very discriminatory. MAKE YOUR POLICIES CLEAR FROM THE BEGINNING, MAKE CLEAR TO WHO YOU WOULD RENT OR NOT A CAR, AND HIRE PEOPLE WHO MATCHES YOUR COMPANY VALUES AND CULTURE. If these people reflect that, then no one with an accent should rent a car from this company ever again. Heads up everyone, don't waste your time renting here and supporting this BS.
