I needed a rental for a 3-4 day period while my own vehicle was being repaired due to slight body damage. First off, the gentleman who runs this location is super friendly and is all about putting the customer first aka great customer service. When I requested my rental via their website, I asked for a compact car, and when I arrived to pick up my rental he allowed me to select the color I preferred. They have great hours and all in all, the rental process from start of finish couldn't have gone more smooth. I would also like to add, although there is an Enterprise Rental in Arnold as well, I did try them first, being I would need a ride to and from the repair shop. I found them to be at least $12-15.00 more per day and they were not friendly, nor would they work with me when it came to transportation. I was told by Enterprise that if I wanted a 8am pickup, expect to wait till at least 10. In summary............consider Budget / Avis in Arnold before you even consider Enterprise. I will certainly be back for any future rentals! read more

Recenttly, on June 7th, I had a minor accident and needed a rental. Regetfully, I chose budget. When I arrived to pick up the rental, everything seemed to go smooth. The gentleman helping us was nice. He was one of the managers he got me into a Hyundai Sonata. Seemed perfect for my use. During the paperwork he told me that he "hooked me up" with the managers package. After my questioning, he explained if anything went wrong with the vehicle I was not liable. He said it would take the place of the regular insurance usually purchased. Although I appreciated it, I chose the other insurance also. Kind of like a stacker in case something unheard of may happen. Everything seemed fine. He told me he could take it in to vacuum it real quick if I would like. As I looked inside there were a few stray grass clippings but I didn't need it spotless. Just get me to and from work the next few days. So I drove away in my Hyundai a happy man. 2 days later I heard word in my car. I called the customer service number as it was after hours. I explained I could drop it off in an hr or 2. But asked since it was after hrs if I would already be charged for another day. "Depends". Was the answer I got. Do I asked how so? She said well if It was due back by 6 the you will be. But if not you won't. II told her if I'm getting charged for another day I'll just keep it another day. "Well you're going to pay extra" she stated. I'm aware, but since I'm already locked in to the extra day being as it's 6:15 now, I may as well just keep it. "Well of it was due at 6 you should just drop it off now" she added. I said well thank you but I'll go ahead and get my moneys worth and keep it "that's fine but they may charge you more if it was due in and ur late". I said so because I'm late they are going to jack up the price? "Ya they can". I said well if they are I'll bring it back open what price does it show? "Well idk I can't see it on my computer you won't now till u get the bill". Well then, I. Was getting kind of irritated now, I I'll still have to pay it so again I'll keep the car "fine' she says and I hung up. The next evening I headed out with my mother behind me to exchange cars. I told mine to the carwash and vacuumed it. Even the trunk. And then drove to Arnold. I stopped at the closest gas station to the rental place and told them inside needed to fill up but didn't know how much it would take. He said just pump it till it clicked. So I did. I went back in and paid at register, thanked him and left. I thanked my mom for the assistance and following me. She had actually used her credit card because all I had in me was a debit card they won't accept debit. I walked inside to another gentleman who said you dropping off,! I said yessir. Do I l I'm eft. I was fine until 5 days later. My mom called and told me on her credit card for those 3 days she was charged $765.00. . After contacting them for 3 days I reached someone who asked for a lot of info llleading me to eventually call with my mother now on day 4. I had to call with my mother on the line. I asked the gentleman when they closed. He told me 9pm they closed at 7. By day 5 I knew I was getting strung around. finally reached them The lady then said she would email a decision in a few days. S days later mom calls again. They charged for me being the driver her the cardholder. . My mom then explained again about the mgr the hookup etc. The lady told us she would look into it again and see what could be done.. 3 more days passed. We got another email. This time a different manager. L. She then started it was actually because I didn't gas it up before dropping it off. My mom told them which gas station I went to , what time, even a description of the person working as I remembered. I added on there if they needed proof I could be seen on the stores camera I'm sure on that day and time getting gas and dropping it off. Yet once again the new manager stated she would ","talk to the gas statíon and get back to us. We are now on about day 10 of verbal disagreement.. A 3rd email from yet another different manager. ----see a pattern forming here??......the last email now stated after investigation it was a fee for not vacuuming when I returned the vehicle. At this point we were done. My mother and I demanded pics of the vehicle when they accepted it to show us what proof they had of a $450, vacuum job that needed to be done It has been 4 days and we have not heard back from themb Just simply a crooked company running shady corrupt business in our turn of Arnold Mo Iif you Google the same situation, it shows up as a scam with numerous others telling a very similar story.! I will not let this go! read more

The rental car that we got at the airport for a piece of garbage and all kinds of problems with it so when here because I was in South St. Louis rather than driving all the way back down to the airport. The person working there was very, very helpful and kind and it saved budget for losing a customer. read more

Very reliable and honest facility!!! We rented a vehicle from here for a road trip, it was very nice and clean--no problems at all! After we got back, I realized that I accidentally left my iPad in between the seat since the leather case blended in with it percisely. We got back pretty late, so another consistent customer rented the vehicle the next day. I was worried about it after watching its location, but an amazing employee here handled it so strategically and reassuringly, and he got it for me right when the vehicle got back to them the next day!! Very trusthorthy people here, and cars worth the investment! Thank you Budget on Jeffco, looking forward to our next trip coming up!!! read more

After having a really bad experience with the Lindbergh location AND the customer support line, I was SO RELIEVED to rent my moving truck from this location. The owner made sure I was on the road quickly after arriving, thoroughly went through estimated costs with me, and was accommodating to my schedule, as they closed at 1. Really just a stand up guy, doing business the right way. Will use for all my future truck rentals. read more

I had reserved a small suv from the Arnold mo location. I stopped by the location and was told there were no suv available until 4:00or 4:30. The man working the counter took our name and number and was going to call is when the suv was returned. We waited until 4:30 with no phone call so we drive back up to the rental office. Upon arriving there were no SUV's in the lot. He tried giving us a smaller vehicle. When I asked about the SUV's that were being returned he said they were already returned and giving to another customer. When I asked why he didn't call like he says he would be said we don't hold cars ?? Then why did you take our name and number and said you would call ... to which he had no answer. Needless to say we were left without a rental and scrambling to leave on our vacation. I have rented from budget for years and have never had such bad customer service. Even when I called customer service and was supposed to have a return call within 24 hours .. I never even got that call. I will do my best to never rent from budget again. The customer service was horrible!! It was a horrible way to start my vacation. I was told no other location would honor the price I was originally was quoted and was told it would be 200.00 more but no other location had the size vehicle we reserved. It's amazing to me you reserve a vehicle weeks prior and I was told you can rent any size car you won't online but we can give you whatever we have in the lot. Make completely no sense ...So beware renting from budget in Arnold Missouri. Horrible horrible horrible customer!!!! UPDATE ....I wanted tell you about my experience this past weekend with the budget location in Arnold, Missouri. I previously wrote about horrible service I had at that location. I wanted to tell you that the new manager at this location is a 100% improvement. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but he told me he was just transferred to this location. He. I was professional and very personable. He showed that he cares about the company and I truly appreciate having a good customer experience especially after the douchebag who was working there had 0% customer service skills. A very satisfied customer read more

Visiting from California and rented a car well in advance, prepaid and everything. We find out the day of that guess what, they have no cars. Sorry, we can't do anything about it either. No, it doesn't matter that you paid in full. No, we can't get a car from another location, in fact, we can't even call. You can, dear customer who gave us your money, but good luck with that. We ask to cancel and when they transfer us to Customer Service- we learn that we can have a refund, but we will also get it pay a fee for canceling. Uh, we have to pay extra for not getting to rent a car!? Gee Budget, you really know how to charm a girl. My pleasant disposition did get the cancel fee waived, but my refund was returned over two payments and took well over a week. Enterprise was across the street and took care of us. Save your budget and go across the street. read more

People there are nice, but they don't know really what they are doing. I had to extend my rental for 7 more days and was told that it was only going to be an extra $256.70. Turned out it was $417.96. Imagine thinking that your total bill was going to be $475.19 but it really was $632.58. When I called the 800 number I was told I'm shit out of luck. read more

Really they don't even deserve a 1 star. Won't rent from them again. Received a call 2 hours prior to our pickup that they didn't have any minivans or any other vehicles for our week long reservation we made in April. Told us good luck and to try a competitor that they may have something. Worst customer service ever! read more
