Extremely Disappointing Service Department! We brought our Holiday Rambler to Byerly in June for several repairs, including a significant water leak near the door. After more than two months, nearly $4,000 in charges, multiple trips, and two assurances that the leak had been fixed, the RV continued to leak when it rained. What was especially frustrating was learning that one repair was supposedly tested by spraying water on the RV while supervising staff stood outside rather than inside checking for leaks. Eventually, we were told the problem was the awning over the door, the same area they claimed to have repaired during our original visit. We had recently purchased a separate and expensive RV from Byerly, so we expected a much better level of service and workmanship. Unfortunately, this experience has eliminated our confidence in their Service Department. Our Holiday Rambler is finally back, although we still don't know whether the leak is actually fixed. One thing is certain: we will not voluntarily bring our RV back to Byerly for service. Having an extended warranty that may require us to deal with this department in the future makes the experience even more disappointing. A message was left for the Service Department Manager, Steve, asking him to call me back in reference to a complaint about the service we received. As of this writing, he has not called me back. Bought parts from them that I wasn't sure I needed. Told the gentleman helping me I was only buying as a precaution. Told him specifically I would more than likely be returning them. Went to return parts approx 35 days later and was told there was a 30 day policy. Now why wouldn't the man helping me in the first place tell me this?! Our second RV rental ever. 24' trailer. First time towing, and with trailer brakes and other new concepts. I was a tenter most of my life so all the moving pieces can be daunting. Byerly staff, however, got me right passed all my anxiety. From the front desk greeting to Patrick in Parts, all were pleasant. Misty made the rental process enjoyable, and cleared up all our questions. Terrence, David, and crew prepped the trailer and then Terrence showed us the ropes. Loved that he quizzed me a few times to ensure I was comfortable. They took their time showing me how to rig the trailer to the hitch - all very patient and clear. Nice job team! read more

We went a couple of days ago, they gave us a price, we continued to talk over the phone with them, we came back today and spent several hours there. We informed them that we would like to buy it and told them we would come back tonight with a check. After spending several hours there, I was informed they were now charging 10% more than what they quoted two days ago. I understand this is a hot market for campers right now, but that kind of negotiation lacks integrity. Byerly could have earned a lifelong customer but instead, I feel it necessary to share this experience with you, fellow campers. Additionally, they asked for $1000 to hold an order for a camper that is "on order" but couldn't provide a vin number. I wouldn't trust that the camper that we were allegedly buying even exists. Smoke in mirrors. Zero integrity. Update: sales manager Eric called after seeing my review and was very aggressive. Mansplaining won't cause me to update my review in a positive light (although maybe it has worked on others). read more

While I think Byerly sells good rv products, their support has become mediocre at best. There is nothing like planning in advance for service only to be called and told your appointment is cancelled because their lot is full. Not even a let's reschedule for a different day, just a we will let you know in the future when they might have a spot for you to bring it in. Sounds like time management classes may be needed for their employees! read more

Purchased a used 2015 CrossRoads 8/10/19. By 3am on 8/11 it was leaking rain water extensively from the closets, the baseboards around the floor, and the right rear corner. So badly that the electrical outlets tripped the GFI. After reporting the problem to Byerly on 8/13 and some negotiations, they are taking the first trailer back, and I am purchasing a brand new camper instead. read more

Bought a New 2019 pull behind from them, experience was great. They walked us through everything and made sure everything worked and we new how to work everything. Recommended them to a family member and they had a really bad experience, the walk through was not very thorough but I thought that was because they were short staffed. I found a 2020 5th wheel that was easier to tow and decided to trade in the 2019 pull behind, needless to say I had the same lackluster walk through. Make sure they demonstrate "EVERYTHING" to you before leaving with a new or used RV. If you don't know how to use the equipment correctly, it will cost you! Service department is not upfront and for some reason can't give you an estimate in a timely manner. read more

The worst rv dealer. We bought a used class A diesel pusher with 90 day warranty. We have 2 ac units with heat pumps. We told them they kept icing up. They did not fix the problem I have photos of the icing of the coils freezing up they would not fix the problem. Next problem. The grey holding tank was leaking I told them countless time they wouldn't listen to me again. They said they fixed the problem well it still leaks I have videos of it leaking they don't care. We have a 90 day warranty in writing and had us come out to there place for 3 days it sat nothing been fixed still doing the same not fixed waisted 3days in hotel plus fueling cost to get it there and back with nothing fixed They said it was fixed and it was not.there warranty was a waste of time.. Don't do business with this outfit I have videos and photos of what was not fixed I can't keep going to there place anymore wast6my time and money. You r now warned rv people... Had to have another rv company fix there promising problems... read more

Finally, I called again and found out that we only have a 90 day warranty. The item that failed should have been inspected before the trailer was ever sold. Obviously it was not. Really solid experience renting an RV from Byerly. We were nervous about renting such a big-ticket item, but they made it very palatable. I appreciated the in-depth walk-through with Steve. Byerly RV Where do I begin? We are planning a rt 66 trip, with myself, my wife, her mother, and her mothers friend, Chicago to LA, then back thru the upper midwest in OCT, so we need a "roomy" rv unit. I submitted requests for a 34' rental from Byerly RV, and after a week, called them to find out why I had not received any quotes? I was told, "Our system messes up and put the requests in our junk folder"... well, if you KNOW THIS, correct the problem! Then, After another week I was told the unit I was interested has been rented, and is now not available to me for rental! Then, fast forward another week, I requested two more quotes for other units, a 36' and a 30', and was given a quote for a dinky 23' unit which is WAY too small for our needs, and quoted ABSORBANT milaege fees. I explained that other rentals (Jurni, Cruise America) are giving reduced rates of 17 cents per mile over the allowed 150 per day, giving other amenities FREE in place of reduced rates such as Kitchen kit, bedding kits, etc... Byerly stated, "we do not change the rate to accommodate the competitors prices." Well, you WILL NOT stay in business long, if your customers are not your TOP PRIORITY! So, now a month later, I am searching for, and WILL BE RENTING from a competitor of Byerly RV of St Louis! I will drive to DENVER if I have to, to avoid Byerly RV! I rented an RV for two weeks to take my husband's ashes to California for burial. Byerly was well aware of the length of the trip and purpose. The RV had NO shock absorbers. We bounced and rattled for the full 4000 miles as things fell off[including a windshield wiper] and the air conditioning turned off and on. At times it was 88 degrees in the vehicle. We love Byerly RV. We've been customers here for a long time. We bought our first rv here over 10 years ago. Service dept is impeccable. We purchased a propride hitch from propride to address sway issues with our 34 ft travel trailer. No one in the St Louis area would install it. Byerly did. Michael the installer did a great job. We also needed airbags for our F150 to level out our truck with this new hitch. Byerly installed that too. They spent time showing us how to hitch it up and get everything adjusted right. on 2/19 we bought a brand new keystone hideout travel trailer. i would like to say its been great but we still don't have it so its not so great. byerly damaged the unit before we could take possession and it has been 5+ weeks and we still don't have our repaired trailer. it seems as if now that they have our money they can't be bothered to deal with us. there is a complete lack of communication and miscommunication between byerly and keystone. i have been repeatedly told that the parts have shipped, they've been expedited but to this date they have still not been received by the dealership. byerly employees have been nice and sometimes helpful (not always possible when there is no info from keystone) but we are frustrated beyond belief. if we had known that this would be how keystone does business we would have never purchased one of their trailers. byerly may be good and top rated but DO NOT buy a keystone. read more
