A particular thanks goes to Esteban, Jacob, and Serenity, who made this experience more seamless than I could have hoped. With their paperless process, the care they took inspecting the vehicle at sign-out and return, and the safe, comfortable pickup and dropoff, I couldn't have chosen better partners for business rentals. Stacey, the store manager at 24th street is very unprofessional and doesn't care about her customers or making sure her employees are following company policies. We rented a car on Saturday morning. That I had rented through a third party site. We rented the car plus added the extra insurance through that site. As we were at the customer service desk, waiting to get the car, i had showed the guy my rental booking plus the insurance. He helped us get the car and had another guy Take Jeremy outside to look at the car. This whole time, the guy was talking to me and not really jeremy, because I usually handle everything not knowing he was supposed to talk to jeremy that was never explained. He had explained to me that I had the car till Monday. That the deposit would fall off between 24 to 72 hours and that we have to return in a full tank gas and be back on time he also never check our proof of residence for using debit card which is also company policy. Sunday morning, I had looked at our emailed rental agreement and notice there were charges on there that we did not agree upon. So Monday morning as I returned the car, I had to explain to Stacey. What had happened. She first said she has to talk to the guy and then she would let me know and get back to me. So we waited after about ten to fifteen minutes, the second guy that helped us came in, and she talked to him, he said that he just gave him the car and didn't go over anything with us. That Alexis was the one that helped us get the car. So then, stacy said she had to get a hold of alexis to find out what exactly he had went over with us. At this time, as I was talking to her, she cut me off and said that she could only talk to Jeremy. Because he was the one that rented the car and I was explaining to her that if that was the case, then Alexis shouldn't have talked to me the first day that he should have only talked to Jeremy. And that was already proof that they weren't following company policy. She then had cut me off and proceeded to go over it with jeremy And the receipt. She only refunded part of the 3 Items that they had put on there without our knowledge. I was explaining to her if there was already issues with said person not explaining things.Then, how are we getting charged for things that they did not go over with us. Then, she said, well, jeremy signed, it, didn't he. Which he did but was never told breakdown of the fees that we were going to occur. She didnt even wanna listen to me just kept saying how she cant talk to me. So I did give her an attitude trying to explain how this is wrong and that as a manager she should be holding these guys responsible for their incompetence. I called the cops and they advised me to sue for my money it which yes committing fraud is wrong but would take forever just to get back pennies but the way they run a business is just ridiculous. She could have at least acted like she was concerned about the whole situation but she just wanted to be done and for me to leave. Do not rent from this enterprise....24th street . They will not follow company policy then blame u for it. Stacey as a manager u should learn how to handle your customers better and make she your employees are following company policy that snide attitude of yours isn't cute and its straight rude as someone who works in a position of power and handling Customers. You would think you would have been trained how to carry yourself professionally. I'm sure if you went somewhere and weren't told about xyz but then were charged for xyz you would be just as mad and also, as a manager hearing your employee wasn't following policy, You should be mad at them not the customer that had the complaint. read more

Weeks after we returned our rental, Enterprise contacted us claiming they found "issues" with the car. This makes absolutely no sense since the vehicle had already been back on their property and in their possession for days, meaning anything could have happened to it after we returned it. At the time of return, we were told everything was fine. Then suddenly, long after the fact, there was a problem? That feels dishonest and very convenient for them. This experience made it seem like they look for ways to push claims onto customers' insurance instead of taking responsibility. It feels like a scammy business practice and caused us a huge headache dealing with something that should never have happened. You've lost a 20 year customer due to the Downtown Bakersfield posing as a rental car agency when they do not have cars available to rent. As stated in my initial post, I've had six different reservations cancelled since Jan 2026, because you were unable to fill my reservation with any car or truck. On all cancelled reservations from ERAC, I had to call Hertz and or Budget, within an hour notice and pay premium costs for same day reservations. BOTH COMPANIES HAD CARS AVAILABLE LIKE MOST RENTAL CAR COMPANIES DO! I've decided to never do business with ERAC again, if it's in my control. read more

So my car took a dump and enterprise was there to get me back on the road in no time! It was the easiest transition, i was in and out within 5 minutes! No kidding! My insurance called them prior to my arrival, so once I got there I just showed them my license the girl quickly reviews the contract, checked the car and I was out of there with a washed car. The Malibu was reliable and she was cute to be driving around for a few days. Upon return Jose checked the car to ensure no damage had been done and I was out of there! I found it really cool that they had complimentary pick you up and drop service if needed ! I didn't use the service but it would have saved me some Lyft money! read more

Customer Alert Avoid This Location !! If renting a car from this location, check for damage completely. In my experience, even the undercarriage must closely inspected. Ask them to move the vehicle out from between others so you can readily inspect all the car carefully and fully. I failed to do such and was charged with previous old damage that was not visible from a normal visual inspection of the car. The damage was under the rocker panel - damage not visible to customers unless you get down on your knees and visually check the undercarriage. Furthermore, the damage I was charged for was noticeably a lot older than the one day that I used it. So, it seems that previous damages not noticed on previous turn-ins are pawned off on unsuspecting customers therafter. Beware and protect yourself by avoiding this location first. read more

Had to use enterprise while my car was getting fixed through my insurance. Had to use a giant truck I was uncomfortable with and then we turned the truck back in, everything was fine... 2 weeks later after a "thorough inspection" we get a bill for hundreds of dollars listing damage, a missing spare tire, etc. We had the truck for 3 days and used it to drive to work and home. We are just normal people who needed our car fixed and we now are out hundreds (and at the holiday season) because of their mistake or negligence. Just a straight up scam. DO NOT USE THIS ENTERPRISE. They will rip you off. Use literally anywhere else possible. Or just ask a friend for a ride. Not trustworthy at all. EDIT: We have resolved the issue now. It was a mistake on the part of enterprise as the original rental agreement clearly stated the missing spare tire. So we went through months of stress and being threatened to be sent to collections because of an oversight on this Enterprise's part. (Actually multiple oversights as no one through the whole process except us thought to look at the original rental paperwork?) So... my review stands. I wouldn't use them again. Is there an option for a negative star? Wish there was. As a yelp elite, it is baffling to encounter such incredibly poor quality unprofessional rent-a-cars still in business in 2024. This location should be out of business and all of their employees should be fired for poor customer service. I called to pick up the car arranged by my husbands employer and everytime I come with my husband, the company puts the reservation under my name so I can pick up on behalf of my husband. They have several locations in northern CA and no other car rental location ever gave me any issues but this place told me they need to verify me and since they can't they won't release the car to me. How much more verification do you need than the reservation itinerary with my name listed and my ID smh. I'm in a new city for my husband who is a physician traveling for work and the company he works for always arranges pick up of the rental car under my name since as a doctor working at a hospital, my husband is unable to pick up. They just seem money hungry telling me they could let me rent a car but not through the company discount because my husband should be picking up not me.. Last time I checked, I'm the closest of kin to my husband and every other location of theirs (in Merced, Modesto I.e) had no issue allowing me to do the pick up of the car understanding that as a doctor he cannot be there to pick up ESP when the employer who is paying for the car is allowing me to do so. Let me know how any of you employees feel when u are sick dying and ur doctor leaves you to go pick up a car. Not sure u would like that now would you?? Selfish, awful customer service!! I've been renting here for years, not this location but Enterprise in general, don't get me wrong I have went to other places due to the fact they don't have a minimum hold other then that I would come here all the time. I made my reservation with another office but with some miscommunication I wasn't able to get a car from them, but I was able to try another location that opened later. When walking in I was greeted and help fast. The rep was very nice and had me on the road in no time. Even having the car and needing to keep it a tab bit longer Jessica was very nice to extend my rental (I think that was her name). Then the storm hit in California which prevented me from dropping the car off on the correct day, but they was understanding. The one thing I did not like is, if you pick up a car from a neighborhood office you can not call the 800 to extend you literally have to wait for the office to open to speak with anyone, but if I pick up at the airport the 800 can help you, blew my mind, like what's the difference. read more

They really let me down. I was counting on them for a car to drive back to Arizona to get my car. They said over the phone that they accept DEBIT cards. But it turns out they have requirements for that, like two proofs of address, which as a full timer in my RV, I did not have since I just moved to Bakersfield the day before! It was a devastating disappointment since my car has to be moved from my former RV site before the new tenant arrives and guess what? My own car is still sitting there. They operate National Car Rental, too, and they said they would take debit cards, again, no stipulations mentioned on the phone. So I paid for a Lyft to the airport and I didn't have a flight booked since I was driving to Arizona, and they declined my rental car AGAIN. There is a serious lack of communication on the phone. I could have saved the Lyft home and there if the phone person had told me the requirements for a debit card. Holy moly, I don't want any debt in my life so I actually pay cash! I'm still sitting here three days later with no rental car, no car of my own, and I'm going to fly to Arizona. I'm not dealing with any more car rentals if I can help it. I am highly disappointed with this location. I "reserved" a car and when I got to the location they were sold out. It took me 4 days to get a rental. When I finally got the rental the employee inspected the car in the SHADE literally right after someone had just returned it and said it looks good, I agreed and went about my day. Fast forward to this week- I returned the car & the worker parked the car in the sun and was closely inspecting the car. He was literally squatting down and said there was damage. I asked him to show me, the damage he was talking about looks like a previous renter did the damage, tried to fix it and got away. It isn't something you would notice if someone doesn't point it out. Worst Enterprise experience we've ever had. If I could give them 0 star I would. We were stranded on the freeway and paid $120 thru taxi to come to this office. They wouldn't accept my personal debit/credit and my corporate debit/credit visa card even with bills in hand because we are not Bakersfield locals. Called corporate and they said they should be able accept it since we are from California and we are renting in a CA office. I have my 3 small children with me and Felicia the manager was not understanding nor helpful. Husband and my credit card was 50 miles away with our broken car. 2 hrs later we got a dirty vehicle. Had to wiped everything down. It had duct tape holding the vehicle together and one of my children found a unused feminine pad in the over head compartment (no I'm not making this up!). Head rest on the seat behind the driver seat is also broken. We have two corporate acct with Enterprise and after this experience we will never use their service again. This is the worst customer service that anyone could experience. I had an appointment booked at 11:30 and when I came to this location the representative said that I couldn't get a car until 1:30 then they changed the time to 2. They are unprofessional and seem to discriminate. The employees are lazy and unwilling to do there jobs. I was told that it would be to much work walking in and out of the building so that they could check the rates, then they asked me to come back in an hour and a half. Do not return or rent your car there! The two guys at the counter will treat you like you caused a damage that doesn't even exist! They will look for anything to write a "damage" report. Rented a vehicle over the customer service phone number here to pick up for a seven seater vehicle. I called the next day to change the time of pickup. The representative informed me it was okay and my reservation was good for the time needed. The next morning I went to pick up my rental and 2 store representatives told me that "they did not have a rental reservation in my name" instead of giving me a reasonable explanation, they both proceeded to try to make ME feel idiotic for the mix up. Always have some kind if trouble when I rent from here. This time I dropped the car off and asked if could have a ride to pick up my car. They said I had to schedule it, but he would check for me and confirmed they could take me in 10 minutes since no one was schedule after they drop off of a customer.
