The seats were cloth and in good shape. They reclined enough to be comfortable. The bus came from San Francisco to Bakersfield then Vegas. The Bakersfield pick up location was at 22nd and Eye Street at the downtown bus station, lane L. There's a sign where they pick up. This service to Vegas is a great deal and recommended.

I used to take route 130 quite often, and it was much better when the route only traveled between Bakersfield and Frazier Park. By stretching the route to cover Santa Clarita, the wait in for the next bus home has become way way too long. I had a 1pm doctor appointment in Bakersfield. The latest departure time from Frazier Park to reach my appointment was 8:40 am, which got me into Bakersfield 3 hours early. The earliest departure time for home was 5 pm. The money I saved taking the bus was spent at the businesses I had to camp in while waiting for my next trip home. It isn't ethical to sit in a restaurant or coffee shop for 3-6 hours without giving them business. This doesn't help someone trying to save his money for more necessary things. It was an 8 hour slot for a 1 hour appointment. Double the time if I drove, and the same cost. The money I saved on gas, I spent on food as rent during my very long wait. Good thing I brought several books. If Kern Transit either added a 2nd bus for Santa Clarita, or left it off the routes entirely, it would make more frequent trips to and from Bakersfield possible, and make me more inclined to use it again.

My experience at this campground was not as expected. - There was a group who decided to make the campground one big party and were blasting their music for the whole campground to hear. Many times they would ride around the loop blasting their music for everyone to hear as well. I guess they thought it was cool. They weren't young by any means. They were on scooters too, so not like they were trying to get exercise out of it. - Many folks decided it was alright to drive the wrong way around the loop, despite there being large signs that say "WRONG WAY, DO NOT ENTER". - I had many folks hanging out in my campsite since it was next to the water. I guess they either don't know of campground etiquette or don't care. I always thought you "don't" walk through someone else's campsite.

There is running water from a faucet at the camp spot , toilets and hot showers . And they do keep it clean and provide toilet paper . Now, if you are part of a big group of campers you might want to get a site that's further out of the camp site near the river or the fields because of noise. If you are loud enough, your neighbors will hear you or you will hear them and can cause problems between camps especially during quiet time. Respect the quiet time which is at 10pm. My camp is loud, we play music and clown around and have good fun, and sometimes it might bother other campers, so I would book a site near the ends of the camp site where there are no campers behind you . Other than that, this is a really great place to camp . There is a convenient store a mile away but everything there is overpriced but convenient. This campground is infested with friendly squirrels that will beg for food or eat your scraps. Try not to feed them .

Cons: It's hard to get through the phone lines, nobody is ever in the office during office hours, we had an issue with our neighbor not cleaning after his dog outside in between our trailers (any time we opened up the windows it smelled like shit). He was constantly arguing with us so we told management (Crystal) and she said she was going to kick him out (since staff and others were complaining about him and his dog).... She never kicked him out and the issue worsened to where he got other people from other trailers involved. A few trailers down, there was a lady with like 5 or 6 kids who kids would come out crying from the mom screaming at them sever days. At the dog parks, the shit was left on the ground, the lights hardly work. You do pay for what you get.

Recently was at a wedding and this company was hired to transport us to and from the event. The drivers left everyone at night and would not turn around to come get us. After an hour or so on the phone with the rude dispatcher (very hard to understand) the driver turned around and headed an hour back to get the 3/4 guests they left. The drivers were not freindly and all and very rude as if we were an inconvenience to them. I will go out of my way to never use this company. It's not a coincidence that the first person to review this company had similar issues. read more
