This location is an embarrassment to Avis…read more I'm an Avis President's Club member and reserved an Elite Electric SUV for a client-facing work trip. I booked the vehicle class intentionally because I needed something clean and professional. When I arrived, I was told the vehicle I reserved "wouldn't be available until next week." No explanation. Meanwhile, a Mustang Mach-E was literally parked right outside in plain view. I was offered "a Ford or a Mazda" with no explanation of car type or class and was dismissively told it was "higher." After reviewing Avis' car class list, t wasn't. It was clearly a downgrade and it cost me $150+ in gas that I would not have paid if Avis had honored the reservation. The condition of the car was disgusting. Not "a little dusty," but filthy: sticky stains, grime, crumbs, and a smoky smell. Whoever is responsible for cleaning vehicles at this location clearly didn't even attempt to do their job. I had to spend over 30 minutes scrubbing and vacuuming the car myself because I was not about to pick up a client in a vehicle that looked and smelled like that. The key fob was broken with the battery exposed. The vehicle also had multiple maintenance and safety issues: constant tire pressure warnings (all four tires missing valve caps, likely causing this), a loose gas cap that triggered error codes and a flashing dash warning all weekend, and worn-out windshield wipers in rainy weather that were legitimately a safety hazard. Then the return experience: the employee rolled her eyes at me, stared at me like I was an inconvenience, and actually laughed when I raised legitimate safety concerns. No apology. No acknowledgement. No professionalism. Honestly, the attitude was as gross as the car itself. I also watched her treat other customers the same way. This location does not appear to maintain vehicles, does not appear to clean them, and does not seem to care about customers at all. If you value your time, safety, or sanity, rent literally anywhere else. I won't be renting from here ever again and may be terminating my relationship with Avis all together over this horrible experience.

A particular thanks goes to Esteban, Jacob, and Serenity, who made this experience more seamless than I could have hoped. With their paperless process, the care they took inspecting the vehicle at sign-out and return, and the safe, comfortable pickup and dropoff, I couldn't have chosen better partners for business rentals. We rented a car on Saturday morning. That I had rented through a third party site. We rented the car plus added the extra insurance through that site. As we were at the customer service desk, waiting to get the car, i had showed the guy my rental booking plus the insurance. He helped us get the car and had another guy Take Jeremy outside to look at the car. This whole time, the guy was talking to me and not really jeremy, because I usually handle everything not knowing he was supposed to talk to jeremy that was never explained. He had explained to me that I had the car till Monday. That the deposit would fall off between 24 to 72 hours and that we have to return in a full tank gas and be back on time he also never check our proof of residence for using debit card which is also company policy. Sunday morning, I had looked at our emailed rental agreement and notice there were charges on there that we did not agree upon. So Monday morning as I returned the car, I had to explain to Stacey. What had happened. She first said she has to talk to the guy and then she would let me know and get back to me. So we waited after about ten to fifteen minutes, the second guy that helped us came in, and she talked to him, he said that he just gave him the car and didn't go over anything with us. That Alexis was the one that helped us get the car. So then, stacy said she had to get a hold of alexis to find out what exactly he had went over with us. At this time, as I was talking to her, she cut me off and said that she could only talk to Jeremy. Because he was the one that rented the car and I was explaining to her that if that was the case, then Alexis shouldn't have talked to me the first day that he should have only talked to Jeremy. And that was already proof that they weren't following company policy. She then had cut me off and proceeded to go over it with jeremy And the receipt. She only refunded part of the 3 Items that they had put on there without our knowledge. I was explaining to her if there was already issues with said person not explaining things.Then, how are we getting charged for things that they did not go over with us. Then, she said, well, jeremy signed, it, didn't he. Which he did but was never told breakdown of the fees that we were going to occur. She didnt even wanna listen to me just kept saying how she cant talk to me. So I did give her an attitude trying to explain how this is wrong and that as a manager she should be holding these guys responsible for their incompetence. I called the cops and they advised me to sue for my money it which yes committing fraud is wrong but would take forever just to get back pennies but the way they run a business is just ridiculous. She could have at least acted like she was concerned about the whole situation but she just wanted to be done and for me to leave. Do not rent from this enterprise....24th street . They will not follow company policy then blame u for it. Stacey as a manager u should learn how to handle your customers better and make she your employees are following company policy that snide attitude of yours isn't cute and its straight rude as someone who works in a position of power and handling Customers. You would think you would have been trained how to carry yourself professionally. I'm sure if you went somewhere and weren't told about xyz but then were charged for xyz you would be just as mad and also, as a manager hearing your employee wasn't following policy, You should be mad at them not the customer that had the complaint.

Brought my car in for brake pads and a brake fluid service and had a very disappointing experience from start to finish. After dropping if off around 9:15ishAM, I was originally told the job would take 3 hours, but the vehicle was not ready until the following day, leaving me without transportation much longer than promised. During the process, the shop told me they couldn't find the lug nut key and had me return to help locate it myself, only for it to already be there. This resulted in multiple unnecessary trips and 1.5 mile walk (each way) in extreme heat because I didn't have my car and I had to be at work, so I used my break time to walk back to the shop, open my car door, and picked it from the place I was describing where it was over the phone and handed it directly to the receptionist. Hey...I got my steps in! :-) Communication throughout the entire process was poor. When I finally picked up the vehicle, I later discovered the brake fluid service I originally requested was never completed. I only responded kindly and respectfully only to be met with a bad attitude. Not family friendly. Most concerning of all, after driving several hundred miles at freeway speeds, including through the Grapevine, I discovered the passenger-side wheel was missing a lug nut after the brake work had been performed. My Dad found it outside our house where I always park. That is a serious safety issue and should have been caught during a final inspection before the vehicle was released. I ended up getting my Brake Fluid Service done at Valvoline Express in Anaheim and the mechanics there had notified me of the missing lug nut on the passenger side. They also made note of it on record (sent via email). I had to carefully drive back to Bakersfield. I tried calling for the past 2 days to see if I can stop by and get it tightened. No answer. Overall, this experience involved delayed service, incomplete work, poor communication, unnecessary inconvenience to the customer, and a major safety oversight. I strongly recommend double-checking all work before leaving the shop. I would not recommend this shop.
