Beware of "Payment Packing" at Gregg Young Chevrolet (and how I saved $6,000)…read more Sharing a recent experience at Gregg Young Chevrolet that almost cost me over $6,000. I'm posting this so you can protect yourselves. When I purchased a 2026 Silverado, the finance office "snuck" a third-party warranty (EG Assurance/Ethos) into my contract for $5,420. They never mentioned the price or told me an Official Chevrolet factory warranty existed for $3,000 less. They simply manipulated the numbers to hit the monthly payment I asked for, a deceptive tactic called "Payment Packing." The Lesson: Always review your itemized contract! I found the $5,420 charge and confronted the Sales Manager. Because I went back within 24 hours, they were forced to redo my contract. My monthly payment dropped from $503 down to $401. That's $102 a month I would have been paying for a marked-up third-party product. Important Advice for your next purchase: Demand Manufacturer Warranties: Do not just accept a "Premium" plan. Ask for the Official Chevrolet Protection Plan (or Ford/GMC). Dealers push 3rd-party brands because they make more profit, but the factory plan is better and cheaper. Buy the Warranty "On the Side": You don't have to finance the warranty into your car loan! I am now purchasing an official manufacturer warranty separately from a high-volume dealer. Not only is it nearly $3,000 cheaper, but it also provides 2 EXTRA years of coverage and 30,000 MORE miles than the third-party plan the dealer snuck in. By paying for it separately (or rolling it into a low-rate refinance), I'm also avoiding 5 years of interest on a marked-up price. Know the Law: In Nebraska, you have a 30-day "free-look" period to cancel service contracts for a 100% refund. If a dealer sneaks one in, go back and demand it be removed. Don't let them work the numbers to "fit your payment" while hiding the true cost. Stay sharp!

Worst. Ever. I wish I could use zero stars. You all need to do better. Be better. I had some hope…read morefrom someone in the finance department. But no. I have never missed a payment on a car I'm probably paying 3 times it is worth. And was bullied by them. I have the text exchanges. Don't ever go here.

My experience with Woodhouse Hyundai has been a disaster from start to finish…read more On July 7, 2025, I brought my 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited to Woodhouse Hyundai for a manufacturer recall repair. The vehicle was fully functional when I dropped it off. While the car was in the dealership's custody, a cleaning vendor operating on their lot backed into it and caused severe structural damage, ultimately totaling the vehicle. This happened while the dealership had possession and control of the car. What followed was months of confusion, poor communication, and misleading information. Woodhouse told me a cleaning company was responsible but refused to identify the vendor despite repeated requests. I was later contacted by an insurance company regarding the loss and eventually received valuation reports. During this entire period, I continued making loan payments on a vehicle that had already been destroyed while sitting on their lot. In December, Woodhouse issued me a check for $2,764.93 drawn from their own corporate account and represented it as money coming from the at-fault party. What they did not clearly disclose was that the back of the check contained restrictive language attempting to release Woodhouse from liability if I endorsed it. There was no separate settlement agreement explaining this. I did not accept the check. The dealership also repossessed the loaner vehicle they had provided, leaving me without transportation. Meanwhile, the insurance process resulted in approximately $16,971 being paid to my lender to satisfy the loan, but that did not come close to covering the actual financial loss and months of disruption caused by this situation. To make matters worse, Woodhouse told both me and the Nebraska Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division that I had received "over retail" for my vehicle, which was simply not true. The core issue is straightforward: My vehicle was destroyed while in Woodhouse Hyundai's custody, and the way the dealership handled the aftermath was opaque, misleading, and incredibly frustrating. If you choose to do business here, document everything and make sure you fully understand any paperwork or payments presented to you. A dealership should take responsibility when a customer's vehicle is damaged on their property. That accountability was missing here.

This dealerships service department must be on par with the worst of the worst…read more Tried to call to make an appointment, an AI "agent" is attempting to get me scheduled. Already annoyed because why can a human not handle such a mundane task. I get scheduled to come in at noon on a Thursday, and I am told on the phone I cannot get a loaner so my options are sit and wait or "shuttle service". Today (Thursday at noon) I arrive, entry into the service department is a mess of other vehicles facing all directions to the point I can only pull halfway into the bay. I wait for someone to come out to me, no one does. After a few minutes I walk in and everyone is just sitting around, obviously this is why they can't talk to someone when scheduling an appointment themselves. When checking in I'm told that "we can't do the diagnostic until tomorrow were you aware?" Obviously I was not aware, why else would I come in on my scheduled service time and date? The person helping just could not grasp why I was frustrated. Offered me a ride home, useless since I had to take time out of my week just to make it out here and how would I get to work tomorrow morning? Then tried to offer me a loaner vehicle, failed at securing one. I eventually just asked when can I come in and my car actually be looked at. This employee could not understand and tried to say "even if you come in the morning there's no promise we would be able to get it taken care of". After more back and forth I got rescheduled, guess I'll find out next week if they've gotten this department organized by then. By far the most lackluster dealer experience I've had. Not only was this event a blunder their prices are obnoxious. I normally go to Lexus of Omaha since it's closer. Not only is their customer service MILES ahead of this place, their prices are significantly better, always have a loaner available, and their communication is top notch. As of now I absolutely cannot recommend this place.
