Avoid this Practice--Hidden Fees…read more I recently visited Dr. Jefferey Chain's ENT practice for a simple ear wax cleaning. Laura performed the cleaning, which was mediocre at best. She also encouraged me to have my hearing tested, and I agreed since it had been a while. I recently received the bill and was shocked to find a $283.84 charge labeled "Office Visit New Patient" on top of the charges, which totaled $554.18, for the services I actually received. This was supposed to be an ear cleaning $500 later!!! Essentially, they charge nearly $300 just to walk through the door--without any prior disclosure! To make matters worse, when I called the billing department for clarification, I spoke with Leigh, who was somewhat rude and dismissive. After looking at other one-star reviews, it's clear that we're not alone in our frustration. We will never return to this practice, and I strongly advise others to avoid it unless you enjoy surprise charges and poor customer service.

I do not remember how we discovered South Denver ENT and Dr. Rao but what a difference. His PA, Shelby Conway, has solved my wife's sinus issues at last, it has changed her life. Shelby is kind, caring, patient and professional. I am now also a patient of Shelby. I had an eustachian tube dysfunction ear problem which she successfully treated. God bless you Shelby. By the way the front office staff is also top flight, very friendly and accommodating in arrival greetings and setting and arranging appointments

I however have had a hard time with follow up and going to this ENT for other matters. It is impossible to get a follow up appointment. I was told by the girl at the front desk that doesn't appear there anymore to take or leave an appointment but that it had to be a date and time that rarely works for me. When I rescheduled it was 2 months before I couple get back in. This wasn't a one off. The same thing happened when my appointment was on a snow day where several roads were closed. I live about 45 minutes north and it wasn't safe to drive. This appointment was never rescheduled. Luckily I didn't have any complications but if I had I am not sure the outcome would have been good since scheduling was such a nightmare post op. For allergies etc I am going to find another doctor since I need some flexibility and to not have to book 6 months out.

This is the first time I have ever done something like write a review online. I have to tell you as…read moresomeone with Chronic ear issues I was thrilled to make this appointment with Dr. Reiner. I did my research and felt he would be wonderful. Well, I never got go follow me out. No one called to confirm my appointment, as I made the appointment well in advance you would think they would. I had put the scheduled appointment down for 8:30... So I came to my appointment at 8:00. As a new patient I knew I would have paperwork to fill out. I was not greeted with a hello, instead it was a eye roll and you know your appointment is not until 9:00 am right. In all my life I have never been scolded for being early to an appointment. Sour taste in my mouth with that. But off to filling out the paperwork I went. When I had completed my paperwork I took it to the front reception and she asked for my medical card i asked if I could mail it to her. She said no I could not and that I would have to leave and reschedule as they don't see patients without the medical card. I had my card. I did not have the printed card. After dealing with her I then felt with the office manager and found her to be as unhelpful as the receptionist. All of this because they dropped the ball communicating with there patients that you need to bring a printed insurance card. I also asked if my insurance could send the card since I was so early there was time but they seemed so disinterested in finding solutions instead of focusing on being unprofessional. There lack of being able to effectively run a business became my issue. I asked for my paperwork to be returned and will take my business to someplace that will care about me as a patient and a person not just a dollar. Let me tell you I left and bought a stranger a Starbucks to right the universe and erase there bad attitude from my mind and not allow people like them to ruin my life...

I shared my insecurities about my nose, it was crooked, too large and had a hump. I was told a combined septo-rhinoplasty would help both function and appearance. I asked for a very natural result and stressed that breathing was my top priority. Ginger reassured me I was in the best hands, emphasizing that he would revise until I was happy. Which should've been a red flag. Recovery was manageable and not too painful. When the cast came off, I was in shock. As the swelling went down, my nose looked more asymmetrical, scarred, and unnatural. And most disappointingly, my breathing hadn't improved, if anything, it was worse. Six months later, I underwent a revision septoplasty with Dr Menachof which made no significant difference. I'm now over two years post surgery, breathing has not improved. My cosmetic concerns have been brushed off and they have referred me to a cosmetic surgeon who can do filler in the nose. I refuse to do any filler and can't believe this is my result. Only recently did I discover that during the original surgery, Dr. Menachof had performed radiofrequency coblation turbinate reduction, something I wasn't clearly informed about or given the chance to fully understand the risk of Empty Nose Syndrome, and I now live with symptoms that match it, my right nostril feels painfully dry and obstructed despite it being wide open. My left nostril is constantly leaking and it seems to have only gotten worse over time, and all efforts to remedy it do not help. It's exacerbated I do any type of exercise, eating, talking, etc. It is humiliating, frustrating and a constant reminder of this mistake I made. Despite multiple follow-ups, Dr. Menachof continued to dismiss my concerns, saying everything "looks great" and that I'm just one of the unlucky ones. I wish I could undo the decision to trust him. I look back at old photos and realize I never needed this surgery and certainly not with this provider. I am beyond devastated and frustrated with my results and functional issues I now experience. I've become depressed and no longer can enjoy the things I used to in this life. If you're considering rhinoplasty, I strongly urge you to reconsider. I wish someone had warned me. Just know it is possible to have worse nasal function and appearance than what you have now, don't take it for granted like I did. I will not post photos here but there are some on other platforms.
