I got a very good deal on my car, they bought my trade in and the transaction went very smoothly. Solid dealer, very accommodating and friendly. Also trustworthy. Hard to find these days.

DO NOT SHOP AT FREEMAN TOYOTA! DO NOT BUY ANY TOYOTA HYBRID!…read more If I could have wrote ZERO STARS I would have. I recently bought a 2026 Camry that is a HYBRID. I never in my life had issues with Toyota vehicles. But the hybrid model unfortunately had a recall once we reached around 5000 miles on it. And the worst part is due to the hybrid engine and it could cause loss of power while driving which is dangerous and unsafe to use the car, and even worse it could cause a fire which is dangerous and both issues could result in harm to me, my family or to other innocent drivers on the rd. I told them about the recall and they said they don't have a remedy and will let let know when they do but it should be in the first quarter of 2026 (January-March) which has passed. So they wanted me to drive this car feeling unsafe and stressed out because I'm anticipating issues with the car. But I told them I don't feel safe and because it's a safety issue they gave me a loaner. I guess the loaner was only set up for 30 days or so and I couldn't make it to renew the loaner and brought it back a week late. So they said they can't loan me anymore vehicles. I just live about 2 hours away and was not going to be in the area until a week after the date they wanted me to come in. So I came in to renew the vehicle and the 1st quarter of the year is basically over and still no remedy/way to fix our brand new car. And they wouldn't renew the loaner so they forced me to take the defective Camry they sold me or I would have been stranded. It is now almost May and other issues arose. Such as Infotainment system/screen going black while the car is on. And a jerk when the car goes from hybrid engine and the gas engine starts. I had my wife contact them to see if they would give her a loaner but they refused. And said they will look into the other issues when they have a remedy for the recall (that was supposed to be resolved I the first quarter). So they have us driving and paying for a car that we feel unsafe in, and can literally catch fire while driving. But we have no choice because they refuse to replace it. Corporate said the issue doesn't warrant a replacement?! But I hope nobody ever buys a hybrid car from Toyota. I know I won't be. I might never buy another Toyota to be honest. But the rental car department manager acted like I was trying to steal the loaner. The service manager doesn't like to get back to you, and also the salesman David who sold me the car stated he is going to look into it and get back to me but I have not heard from him since. This has been going on over 3 months or so. I don't wish this on my worst enemy. We're literally paying for a problem, and to use a dangerous/ unsafe vehicle. DO NOT SHOP AT FREEMAN TOYOTA! DO NOT BUY ANY TOYOTA HYBRID!

It's a wonderful car, the best car I have ever owned. After purchasing it, I noticed two fairly minor repairs that needed to be done. I called Aidan (a service advisor whom I've known now for at least 4-5 years), and he immediately took charge of the situation and talked to Robert, the general manager, and Andrew (whom I've known even longer than Aidan), the service manager, and they both promptly approved the repairs at no charge. I made an appointment for a few days later, dropped the car off, they provided me with a loaner, and a day or two later, I picked up my car. I cannot recommend more highly the guys and gals at Freeman Lexus. They are honest, polite, do fantastic work and are super responsive. And Lexus is a fabulous car. I will always buy Lexus.

Dear Reader, Joy and…read moreI have purchased three new cars over the course of our marriage: Once at the beginning years ago; one during the height of our car/transport needs and now this 2026 IONIQ 5 Limited that we purchased today. Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they were not - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Adam's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Perfect. You as the reader may well ask: It's just a car sale, dude! But for us, a purchase of this amount was no small decision. We accomplished what we were looking for in a purchase and we got more. To me, I call that grace. A word I daresay not associated with the automobile industry. But we received it today. Thank you sirs: it was a pleasure and load off my ever-researched mind. Bill sez Two Thumbs Way Up. Check 'em out!

BUYER BEWARE -- My Experience at Manly…read more Unfortunately, my experience with the sales team and management at Manly was terrible. Despite seeing negative reviews online, I decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. During our visit, our trade-in vehicle was damaged during a test drive. Afterward, warning lights and an alarm/siren were going off. When we asked for help addressing what had happened, instead of helping us resolve the situation, we were told to leave the property. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the people involved would not provide us with their names, business cards, or contact information when we asked. I ultimately picked up the salesperson's business card from his desk, which he did not want me to take. I will be posting a video showing what happened so people can watch it and decide for themselves. Based solely on my personal experience and opinion: Buyer beware. I would not recommend Manly. Do not try them--you will not like them. -- Nitrous Mike

Few experiences are as widely shared and fraught with challenge as buying a car for the first time…read more We recently shared that very experience and were lucky enough to find a place and a team of people who made it far less fraught: Hansel Subaru. Our previous cars were acquired from a family member and a trusted mechanic. We had no direct experience dealing with an actual car dealership. All we really knew was that we needed a replacement for our 2003 Subaru Forester, which had just been totaled in an accident. Injuries were thankfully non-critical, but we needed a replacement car and wanted another Subaru. After multiple fruitless and frustrating interactions with private sellers and others, most miles from our home, we discovered and reached out to Hansel Subaru. Andrew and his colleagues were cordial, empathetic, patient, and knowledgeable. In our climb up the mountain of first-time car buying, Andrew became our Sherpa, smoothly and efficiently guiding us to a 2016 Subaru Outback in pristine condition, at a fair and affordable. He even helped us return the rental we'd been using. And when he found out neither of us carried a checkbook, he drove us home in our "new-to-us" car to pick up our check. Used or new, where you buy your car, and the people who sell it to you, can affect your satisfaction with your experience as much as your choice of vehicle. I can only speculate hopefully about the rest of the Hansel dealership universe. But if you're seeking or considering a Subaru, check out Andrew and the team at Hansel Subaru. They made us feel as safe and comfortable as the car we selected.

I also got internet bids from KBB, Carvana, Driveway and CarMax and Car Max offered the most. We waited until it became apparent it wasn't going to sell in the old tried and true way but the original Car Max offer had expired so I renewed it. They came back with a new internet offer that was $100 more than we were asking locally and $1000 more, oddly, than their first offer. Bought daughter a Honda that she LOVES…read more The condition of the vehicle is excellent. The entire experience was straightforward, none of this time wasting back and forth stuff a lot of dealerships do. We requested this specific vehicle from a location in SoCal. It was worth paying for it because again, my daughter loves her car. Why 1 star? In the vehicle image gallery they show 2 key fobs. When we made the purchase? They only had one and told some lame story the place the car came from has the other key in their lockbox. What? We left with ONE key fob which is really inconvenient and very stupid. Now we have to go to the Honda dealership to purchase a second key. This kind of loose end nonsense bodes poorly for their customer service as they've created an unnecessary imposition on a customer that just handed over a substantial amount of cash. This is why I will never leave Peter Pan BMW and will continue to drive BMWs as I have for the last 25 years. I expect consistent high level customer service without being inconvenienced as it should be wherever one purchases a big ticket item, like a car. One star. Do better. By a lot.
