Excellent experience overall. Read the whole review to understand why I hold them in high regard…read more My experience with these guys is based on helping my sister buy an RX 350 here. Sales experience: Mitch, our salesperson, was very patient and helpful. Never pushy. Understood a budget was set, and didn't try to deviate. Greg, the sales manager is kind and helpful. Not the "bad cop," but an overall kind guy. The whole staff was pleasant, and again, not pushy. Wasn't personally there for finance. Car: the car is used, and seemed to be in great shape. They had excellent records, and Greg had no problem printing them up for me to review. Awesome. What set them apart: two weeks after buying the car, the battery had hit the end of its life. Batteries do that, obviously. The bummer was it probably should have been caught before the vehicle was put on the lot - if possible. I called the dealership to see if we could work out a deal to buy a new one wholesale and install it myself for her. *NO*, instead, Greg wasn't going to let that happen. They made time for us, ran a diagnostic on the car, confirmed it was the battery, and replaced it all for free. Not once did they ever push back. Aiden, the service manager was very pleasant and accommodating. They could have made an excuse and put the burden on us. They didn't. They went *above and beyond*. It is very rare these days to encounter this kind of experience, especially at dealerships. Have personally purchased and dealt with multiple European luxury brands, and a different local Lexus dealership, and the whole experience was absolutely better. Thank you, Greg, Mitch, and Aiden. Personally, when it's time for me to get another Lexus, I'll be stopping here first. Stay awesome, guys.

Dear Reader, Joy and…read moreI have purchased three new cars over the course of our marriage: Once at the beginning years ago; one during the height of our car/transport needs and now this 2026 IONIQ 5 Limited that we purchased today. Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they were not - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Adam's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Perfect. You as the reader may well ask: It's just a car sale, dude! But for us, a purchase of this amount was no small decision. We accomplished what we were looking for in a purchase and we got more. To me, I call that grace. A word I daresay not associated with the automobile industry. But we received it today. Thank you sirs: it was a pleasure and load off my ever-researched mind. Bill sez Two Thumbs Way Up. Check 'em out!

Honda Pilot Certified Used Purchase I purchased a certified…read moreused Honda Pilot (only about a year old at the time) from Manley Honda, along with the extended warranty. We've kept the vehicle fully serviced and maintained exactly as recommended -- yet it has been consistently unreliable. Sensor/Camera Failure The first issue was a sensor/camera failure, which was only resolved because it happened under warranty. Rear Subframe Failure Now we're dealing with a far more serious problem: a section of the rear subframe has broken off. Despite the vehicle having only 60K miles and an extended warranty, both Yuba City Honda and Manley Honda have refused to help in any meaningful way. We've been given the runaround, treated disrespectfully, and dismissed at every step. When we pointed out that this exact part has an active recall in the Midwest for the same failure, Yuba City Honda responded with: "This is what happens when you buy a used vehicle." That level of disregard is unacceptable. Manley Honda -- the dealership that sold us the vehicle and the extended warranty -- has also been completely unhelpful and unwilling to stand behind what they sold. Warranty Denial Between both dealerships, we've received no support, no accountability, and no professionalism. For a certified used Honda with proper maintenance and a purchased extended warranty, this experience has been extremely disappointing.

Few experiences are as widely shared and fraught with challenge as buying a car for the first time…read more We recently shared that very experience and were lucky enough to find a place and a team of people who made it far less fraught: Hansel Subaru. Our previous cars were acquired from a family member and a trusted mechanic. We had no direct experience dealing with an actual car dealership. All we really knew was that we needed a replacement for our 2003 Subaru Forester, which had just been totaled in an accident. Injuries were thankfully non-critical, but we needed a replacement car and wanted another Subaru. After multiple fruitless and frustrating interactions with private sellers and others, most miles from our home, we discovered and reached out to Hansel Subaru. Andrew and his colleagues were cordial, empathetic, patient, and knowledgeable. In our climb up the mountain of first-time car buying, Andrew became our Sherpa, smoothly and efficiently guiding us to a 2016 Subaru Outback in pristine condition, at a fair and affordable. He even helped us return the rental we'd been using. And when he found out neither of us carried a checkbook, he drove us home in our "new-to-us" car to pick up our check. Used or new, where you buy your car, and the people who sell it to you, can affect your satisfaction with your experience as much as your choice of vehicle. I can only speculate hopefully about the rest of the Hansel dealership universe. But if you're seeking or considering a Subaru, check out Andrew and the team at Hansel Subaru. They made us feel as safe and comfortable as the car we selected.

I also got internet bids from KBB, Carvana, Driveway and CarMax and Car Max offered the most. We ignored those offers though as we thought the car was worth at least $900 more than the Car Max offer based on KBB's private seller values. We waited until it became apparent it wasn't going to sell in the old tried and true way but the original Car Max offer had expired so I renewed it. They came back with a new internet offer that was $100 more than we were asking locally and $1000 more, oddly, than their first offer. We went down there expecting them to drop the offer based on their very rudimentary inspection. The did not an offered the original amount which we accpeted. All in all a great process and result; highly recommended.

Bought daughter a Honda that she LOVES…read more The condition of the vehicle is excellent. The entire experience was straightforward, none of this time wasting back and forth stuff a lot of dealerships do. We requested this specific vehicle from a location in SoCal. It was worth paying for it because again, my daughter loves her car. Why 1 star? In the vehicle image gallery they show 2 key fobs. When we made the purchase? They only had one and told some lame story the place the car came from has the other key in their lockbox. What? We left with ONE key fob which is really inconvenient and very stupid. Now we have to go to the Honda dealership to purchase a second key. This kind of loose end nonsense bodes poorly for their customer service as they've created an unnecessary imposition on a customer that just handed over a substantial amount of cash. This is why I will never leave Peter Pan BMW and will continue to drive BMWs as I have for the last 25 years. I expect consistent high level customer service without being inconvenienced as it should be wherever one purchases a big ticket item, like a car. One star. Do better. By a lot.
