The salesman was nice (of course) but I started to feel like I wasn't getting a great deal on the price (I'd done my research and checked out prices on Carvana). I was also trading in my car, which I knew they'd turn around and sell for double, so I was feeling a bit nervous and glad my toddler wanted to go use the restroom. I asked the guy working in the gift shop where they were, and he said they were out of service and we'd have to walk to the next dealership over (Ford). Thinking about walking in the 90 degree heat with my toddler made me feel even worse, but a customer overheard the conversation and told us to go in anyways- and surprise surprise, they were working just fine. We were then directed to the finance guy, and he laid out his speech about buying the extended warranty- which would bump my price back up to the sticker price (well done guys). I said I've owned Lexuses before and trusted their craftsmanship, and he said most of the parts aren't made by Lexus anymore (google Lexus shuts down manufacturing plants) and if one of those parts go, the car shuts off and we'd have to get towed in. "The reputation is still there but not the reliability." I knew he was just trying to scare me into buying this extended warranty but in doing so he let me know something pretty concerning, so I got my title and keys back and said I was going to take my toddler to get some food and think about it. They started to panic, and seeing that they might lose the sale, the finance guy came out of his office with the salesman "oh you were buying a Certified pre-owned car- I didn't know that. The Certified cars have a two/year warranty with the first four visits to the shop covered." Sure he didn't know that. I wanted to go to the dealership so I could see the car in person, and I used to trust this dealership, but I was hustled and just got a bad feeling from the entire experience. I'll be looking at other cars and doing more research and I suggest you do the same.

Because of that I was in the process of purchasing a car from Carvana so I wouldn't have to deal with a car salesman and all the others, like the finance manager who always tries to pressure you into buying an extended warranty, and this or that. Or the salesman saying he'd have to check with his manager BS. I saw the vehicle I wanted advertised on their web site at what was a good price. I thought I would try again, so I drove 100 miles to take a look. What a great experience! This is like no other dealership I have ever been to. The salesman is the owner. He is very personable and applies absolutely no pressure. I decided to buy the vehicle I saw advertised. I said I suppose you want to now sell me an extended warranty. He said only if you want to buy one. I told him I didn't and he said OK. They prepped the vehicle and I took it home. It was detailed with care and was immaculate. I highly recommend North Bay Motors. Next time I buy a car, I will go there first.

Dear Reader, Joy and…read moreI have purchased three new cars over the course of our marriage: Once at the beginning years ago; one during the height of our car/transport needs and now this 2026 IONIQ 5 Limited that we purchased today. Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they were not - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Adam's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Perfect. You as the reader may well ask: It's just a car sale, dude! But for us, a purchase of this amount was no small decision. We accomplished what we were looking for in a purchase and we got more. To me, I call that grace. A word I daresay not associated with the automobile industry. But we received it today. Thank you sirs: it was a pleasure and load off my ever-researched mind. Bill sez Two Thumbs Way Up. Check 'em out!

Although that car had already sold, Gregory Morelos quickly helped me find another Camry that worked well for me. The 7-day return policy gave me confidence in moving forward. When I picked up the car, the scratches had been buffed out, it was nicely detailed, and a new battery had been installed. The purchase process was straightforward and took about an hour. Everything was explained clearly, and I appreciated the help with updating my insurance and registration. During the 7-day window, I had a third-party inspection done. Only two minor safety items were found, and the dealership agreed to repair them. I was impressed both with the condition of the car and their willingness to stand behind it. Overall, a professional and positive experience. Here is a separate review for Gregory Morelos, Special Finance Manager and Sales associate Gregory Morales - Manly Honda Gregory Morales provided exceptional service throughout my purchase. When the car I originally came in for had already sold, he quickly found another vehicle that met my needs. He was professional, responsive, and straightforward during the entire process. He clearly explained everything, made the paperwork easy, and even assisted me with updating my insurance and registration. When I later brought forward a couple of minor issues identified during a third-party inspection, Gregory advocated on my behalf and ensured they were addressed. I truly appreciated his professionalism and customer care.

It was doing me no good sitting in my driveway! Looking to sell as is, not deal with the hassle or stress of a private sale, and just get the car off my hands, I called CarMax, everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. They advised me to go through the process online, being honest about the car's condition, and set up an appointment for the in person appraisal. They emailed an estimate offer and I fully expected that number to drop once I got the car on the lot. Nope! They gave me the exact number from the email- And I felt that number was fair given the circumstances. Marisol took care of the process, in about 30 minutes, the title was transferred, paperwork signed, and I left with a check in hand. If you're looking for ease, highly recommend!

Went online to CarMax.com and entered the VIN. Within seconds, on the website I get an 'offer' to buy my car. It says Carmax will buy your car for $64k-$73k. First and foremost, I knew they would lowball, but thought it was free to at least try. Here's the key to the bait and switch which is well documented online in reviews and with the BBB. The 'offer' stipulates that the car must be brought in to the nearest CarMax for the 'sales team' to further evaluate and ultimately determine what the sale price will be based on the spectrum they sent me. Ok. New car. Perfect condition. Logical that they'd offer the highest number...even though that number is significantly less than KBB. Drove to Santa Rosa, pleasant enough sales guy looks at the car and with 45 minutes I receive a written offer for just above the lowest amount initially sent to me. I was confused and said to the sales person, but your offer was a range and this is so low, why wouldn't you offer me the higher number as the car is new? She said, what offer did we send you? I grabbed my phone and looked at all the emails that were sent to me when I got my offer online from CarMax. I was so confused, NONE of the emails had the offer amounts. Did I lose it? I then realized. The offer that CarMax sends to you is only on your computer screen and when you close down (as you have confirmation emails right?), the offer numbers are GONE. The high number they flash on the screen is JUST a way to get people to come to the dealership where they then give you a lowball offer. Shame on me for falling for this, at best, deceptive scam, at worst, illegal business practice-one that is clearly VERY common based on all the reviews out there. Beware.
