One of the best meals I have ever tasted! This place is a treasure. It is a little hidden but if you find it you are in for a treat. Everything was absolutely perfect. Everything! The service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. The price was very reasonable. We loved the total experience.

Nicely hidden from the regular tourist restaurants in Belém, this is a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy some great food and wine. We came in for lunch without a reservation, but managed to get the last table. It is a very small restaurant with few tables, so I would recommend booking ahead if you can. The food options are of course sea food primarily all of which sounded great. My wife went for a cod dish, which was perfectly cooked with simple but well presented vegetables. I went for the roast octopus, which was some of the best I have tasted in a long time. The food presentation is excellent and stands well ahead of anything you can get locally and competes with the best in Lisbon. One of the other key reasons to visit is the wine list. A fantastic wide selection of Portuguese wines, most of which are served by the your overwhelmed by the choice, just ask. The staff are ready to makes recommendations based on your preferences and share their knowledge about the producers and the styles. If you enjoy great food, then you will not be disappointed. If you enjoy a wine journey as well, then this is the place to visit. Great value considering the standards that are served up here.

This place was recommended to us by a local as a great wine bar when in Belem. We decided to give this place a go. It is not easy to find as it is down a very narrow lane and you would not guess this place exists in this lane. It is an almost all Portugese place with wine and food sourced locally from Portugal. The owners also make their own wines and represent a number of good Portugese wine. We tried a few wines by the glass and all of it was recommended by the host and we loved ever one of them. We also had a Portugese platter which had some excellent cold cuts, morcilla and cheeses. I loved every bit of this plate. We also had a couple of hot small plates and they were good but I cannot remember exactly what the dishes were called. I will definitely return here next time I come back to Portugal.

The codfish was delicious, though for the price the portion was just a bit too small. Tucked away in an alley but nice ambience.

I have never enjoyed venison until tonight - if I didn't know better, I would think I was eating a piece of filet mignon.

We came around 1:30pm, as hot as it can get in the middle of the summer so we decided to wait for a table to be seated inside. We waited about 5-10mins and were often updated with the wait time. We ordered 2 kids meal, chicken strips and fries in which my kids devoured them in no time, and also 2 fish soups, 1 salad and 2 entrees for 4 adults to share (as it was too hot and we weren't very hungry). The fish soup was delectable. It was rich in flavor but not overly creamy or heavy. Bouillabaisse is indeed one of my favorite and a must get while I'm in France. For their nicoise salad, the veggies were fresh and crisp, with just the right amount of olive oil and balsamic glaze on top. For entrees, we ordered the sea bass with ratatouille and rice. I was expecting nicely lined vegetables which don't happen but the sea bass was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, moist and tender meat that just flakes apart easily. My kids ended up stealing most of our fish. The ratatouille was very flavorful, perfect to be eaten with rice. The cod was one of their specials for the day and it was also perfectly cooked: moist and tender. Their service was very quick and attentive. Some people may not like it being too quick and specially in Europe but we like it especially when we didn't want to spend too much time eating and more time for sightseeing. The only complaint is the AC is a little weak but this is common in most of the places in Europe. Overall, food is excellent with superb service. Price was a little higher than other restaurants in Lisbon but it is expected given its location. We enjoyed our lunch and would recommend it to anyone to enjoyed French cuisine.

The portions were large and rich with tons of flavor. The staff was fun and were silly with the kids helping to make the whole meal an enjoyable experience. After walking around the castle on a warm day, we actually felt more a beer than wine, but we wanted to try this place so we headed in anyway. The owners, actually from Brazil, are very nice. They gave us a menu, then came back in a short while to see what we wanted. They generously gave us a few to sample and even brought out a few bottles that were not on the list, and one was a new bottle! Price of wine is not cheap, our glasses each cost €10 each, a pretty steep price in Portugal where a full bottle often cost less. However, considering the expertise and service, the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, this is a lovely place to rest up a bit after visiting the castle.

If all you want to do is drink Portuguese wine and eat some Portuguese snacks, and you have a large tourist wallet, this is your place. It is pleasant, and you'll see a better variety of wines from the whole country here than in most wine bars. But if you are hoping to rub shoulders with locals, look elsewhere. The waiters are all well versed in Portuguese wines. Service is slow, but that seems to be the norm in Lisbon.

For lunch they have a set menu to cater to the crowd which isn't bad. They also have a cheese and meat spread which they bring at the beginning of the meal...we made the mistake thinking it was complimentary, little did we know it cost more than our dishes so be careful of that. They have a good selection of wines, the white wine I had was OK but given its big selection I want to give it the benefit of doubt. The service staff is attentive, but sometimes a little too attentive (if you know what I mean) which isn't always appreciated especially when you are there on a business lunch.
