I chose this place not only for its Yelp reviews because it is close to where I live. Fortunately or unfortunately that's how many of us decide to choose places to visit/ use. I was pleasantly surprised. The office staff is super friendly when you come in and they greet you right away. They are efficient, and it's a super clean and nice place. The dentist and his hygienist are so fun and super nice. They did not try to upsell me on additional Dental work, although I did have to have a root canal which I figured. Dr. Chang referred me to an oral surgeon who was excellent and I reviewed him previously here. Have to say for a dentist, Dr. Chang is one of the friendliest I've met. He explains every procedure and gives me options. Other than my root canal, he doesn't push me to do all the work at once. Many healthcare providers push that everything's an emergency, much like Auto Repair places! Everything is a drama and needs to be done now and all at once. Not with Dr.Chang. I appreciated this non-pressure form of healthcare. Their practice is very low key and you would almost miss it if you weren't specifically looking for it. It's not splashy with big signs. Okay I've been going to this place for 15 plus years. The staff has always been friendly and very nice quick and efficient. The new staff however... is so rude. The front lady always has an attitude and talks down to you. Not personable and basically hates her job. He checked my son's teeth and he recommended not to pull out but leave it on until naturally comes out of permanent teeth. This (so-called) dentist ( Dr Andrew Kim) does not even deserve one star. He was the dentist for my young son. Dr. Kim did two fillings on two different teeth, both fillings fell out within one year. One tooth developed an infection as a result and the decision was made to extract it. Dr. Kim put in a temporary bright blue filling and gave my child an antibiotic. He wanted to see my child back in one week to extract the tooth. The following week, we came back for the tooth extraction and He, Dr. Kim, who treated that tooth the week prior, PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH. How does he miss the bright blue tooth he treated the week prior!?! What made it worse was that he didn't even apologize for extracting the wrong tooth, or for the trauma he caused to my son. He lied to my face and told me that the other tooth(a healthy tooth btw) also needed to come out and that he made a last minute decision to extract it WITHOUT consulting me. I was in the next room! RUN as far and as fast as you can from this office. The office manager is just as bad. She tried to tell me fillings don't last more than one year- clearly his fillings don't. However, most dentists are competent in their work, and fillings should last for years. I have been having such a bad experience trying to find an honest HMO dentist for the last 10 years under Prospect Insurance. For years and years I have been going to dentists under my HMO and have many times, been victim to scamming dentist out there, trying to make me feel that my teeth our horrible and full of cavities. They will tell me I need deep cleaning, tooth root canal removal, etc and refused to give me just regular cleaning. They would claim they can't do regular cleaning because I needed more treatments to fix my teeth. They tried to charge me thousands and thousands of dollars with their b.s. scam attempts. I knew I kept my teeth clean and went to PPO dentists after I got all if these fake dental assessments by these scamming HMO dentists. All of my PPO insurance dentist said that I have/had perfect teeth with no cavities and this is after my check up with those lying HMO dentists. I even went to my uncle (who is a PPO dentist in San Diego) and he told me that my teeth were perfectly clean with no cavities that were claimed by those other scandalous dentists. I don't go to my uncle often because his office is so far and deep in San Diego. After a while I lost my job and had to go back to my dentist through my HMO insurance. I found out I was still assigned to that same facility and I was desperate to get my teeth clean so I called up that same dentist from my past and they told me that I needed to come in for a check up. I was then informed that check up they would only give me x-rays of my teeth and not get my teeth cleaned. I knew that they were planning to probably make a scam from me again so I decided to look for another dentist through Yelp that accepted HMO insurance. It took another month before I was able to transfer to Dr. Kim but it was worth it! Finally I found a HMO dentist that didn't try to scam me and make all of these lies about my teeth! Dr Kim and his staff were very professional and 100% honest. He complimented on my teeth and said that from what he saw he knew that I kept good care of my teeth, which is true because I brush my teeth at least 2x a day/night and dental floss at least 1x a day/night. I was a little concerned about my gum line thinning because I used to use firm toothbrushes and I know those can wear down your gum lines. Dr. Kim showed me that mine are just fine and he gave me an example of how thin the line needs to be before a concern is applicable. Nothing fake here, it's the real thing! I have been going to Dr. Kim for about 3 years now. During that time, he even got me in for an unscheduled emergency visit on the same day I went in. On that occasion, his front desk was like, "oh he has no appointments today, let's find the next available slot." He happened to be walking by and over-heard my situation and saw me right then and even took X-rays in spite of what the staff said. Sometimes, the staff can be less than personable, but I am not there to see them. As for the waiting room, yes, it lacks personality, but I am not there for an inviting waiting room. My wife and I have had some pretty bad experiences with dentists in our area so we've been searching for a good dentist in or around Cypress. My wife was experiencing major tooth pain so she went to Cypress Family Dental and was quite displeased with her service. The dental assistants were rude and gossiping during her check up and the dentist with little more than a hello gave, her how much the procedure would cost; so much for patient care. To make matters worse I was heading out of town and she still needed relief from her pain. So I jumped on Yelp and tried to match up a highly rated doctor with our insurance coverage. We found this office and my wife's experience could not have been more different. The office personnel were friendly, the doctor took his time explaining the source of her pain and even went over cost and payment options. Once the procedure began she experienced minimal pain and when she made mention of it the doctor stopped and administered pain medication before he continued. My wife is not usually a fan of dentists but after returning home from her appointment she could not have been happier with her service. We added the extra star to round it up to five when the dentist came in on his day off to alleviate my wife's pain. I was looking for a dentist that is close by and thankfully stumbled upon Dr. Kim at Enhance Dental. If ever there is a dentist that can give you that Warm n Fuzzy feeling..Dr. Kim is it!! He takes his time and is as gentle as you can be when performing dental work. I didn't know about the Insane special of $25 for first time patients which included x-rays, exam and Thorough cleaning then polishing and flossing by his assistant so I was pleasantly surprised with the tiny bill!! I now have a perfect smile thanks to them. Recently moved to Orange County and was referred by lumineers to go to this office. I was looking for a lumineers specialist to fix my dark and crooked top teeth. Before I lived in Beverly Hills and I have gone through about 9 different dentists in that area and Never Have I been satisfied. They are all about hype and priceyness. On to my review, the office is very modern, clean, and neat as I was already ac costumed to in Beverly Hills. They seem to have all the newer equipments like Digital X-rays, monitors, different laser whitening machines, and other machines that I am not quite sure of. You can even bring your own DVD and have them play it while you get dental work done. Plenty of parking right in front of the office, and a convenient 7/11 next door. The Dentist is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled. The doctor there was certified in almost everything. Also very amusing to me was that he used to work in Beverly hills in Rodeo Drive area before he moved to Orange County. Luckily they charge the standard fees listed on the California Dental Board. So far I got a great cleaning and Lumineers Veneers. I can't believe no shots or drilling yet I got a beautiful smile makeover in 2 visits. I am so happy and I love to smile now. As a rule of thumb, I simply despise going to the dentist. Fortunately, this dentistry spurns the typical stereotype and makes for a pleasant experience every time. Dr. Andrew's expertise and experience in the dental field is apparent in his work, as he is both meticulous and gentle. The front desk receptionists are also polite and very accommodating, while the dental assistants are efficient and competent as well.
