Fried shrimp

Go here for the Chilean sea bass and $9 high noons if you are in the area. The fresh baked rolls were delicious and hot out of the oven. If you like a noisy bustling bar scene this the the place! It was very loud and very busy. Several birthdays were being celebrated and the Yankees game was on in the background. There was music which was difficult to hear until several surrounding parties departed. Our waitress took forever to come to our table and our water glasses were often left empty. Our calamari came out without marinara and by the time we got the sauce 30 min later the food was cold so we couldn't eat it. The fried shrimp were good and the calamari was cooked perfectly just wish we had the marinara to start with and we probably didn't need both fried appetizers. The garden side salad was typical with two cherry tomatoes and two cucumbers and good with ranch dressing. I had the lobster, scallops and shrimp in vodka sauce over linguini and my hub had the chillian sea bass. Mine was too heavy and we switched halfway through. His fish and light and flakey and I liked it. Overall a decent meal but for the prices there are better options that I prefer. I suppose if you are staying in the hotel or walking distance to the area it might be worth a trip back.

The restaurant was fantastic our waiter Cade took excellent care of us the whole night . The prime rib is the best the blackened scallops, lobster bisque and the flounder are all excellent choices. Take your choice between the bar sushi area or the Maine dining room. Make sure you make a reservation

Have stayed here before and love the outdoor pool and sand bar area. Listened to Live music and it gave us beach access. Lbi distillery cocktails that are really great, a new local distillery to check out opening in March 2024

We love the Engelside for their sushi bar. Great spot with amazing service. Ray and John are the best!

Tiny piece of Key lime pie -- not even as long as a very small desert fork and 2" wide for $10 ?!?!

The sea bass portion was minuscule -- more like 2 fish sticks at just over 3.5" long and less than ¾" thick. While it tasted fine it was definitely NOT worth $42. The key lime pie was also tiny -- not even as long as a very small desert fork and about 2" wide or so. It was absolutely NOT worth the exorbitant price of $10 that they charged for it. We have visited the Engleside quite often over the many years we have been coming to LBI and this is honestly the first time we have felt totally and completely disappointed and quite honestly taken advantage of by price gouging. We won't return and that makes us sad as they used to be one of our go to and most enjoyed restaurants.

Consistently delicious! Great food and large portions. Prime rib is the best on the island.

Food is mediocre and expensive. Service was awful the last time we visited. Despite these issues, the sushi is good.

Great sushi! Some of the best I've ever had. Bartenders attitude kinda killed it a bit. But all together a great meal

The Sand Bar is a great spot for a cold tasty beverage and lunch. Everything I have tried on the menu is delicious.

There is an indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is very nice and well spaced out. We sat outdoor, but I could see indoor. The layout looked very nice and pleasant older style decor. The server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and just the right amount of attention not to bother us, but not to leave us at any moment waiting It is a BYOB which we didn't know. They do have some wine you can buy by the bottle we bought a bottle. It was OK. The food overall we found to be very good every step of the way the bread that they gave us to first starter was good then the appetizers. My daughter had the Barada salad, which was very good. I had tuna bites. They were excellent. For our main course, I had Cory's combo which is a seafood combo of flounder, scallops, crabcake, and shrimp. All of these I found to be very good. The crabcake in particular was full of lump crab, and not too much of the filler. It was very well done. My daughter had the black and prime rib with baked potato. It was excellent perfectly cooked nice and tender flavorful. My wife had the fillet which she frequently orders when we go out to dinner, this one did not disappoint the texture the way it was cooked the flavoring. The sides were all excellent. We were very happy with this last minute decision and hope you find it to be the same! Good luck. I very rarely give five stars, but had a hard time finding a reason not to. Good job.

The kids can run around in the sand, which makes it much easier for parents to actually relax and enjoy themselves. There are always tons of families around, plenty of staff, and the staff has consistently been great and accommodating when we've had larger groups. The beach access is a huge plus, and I love the fire pits with plenty of seating around them. The vibe is fun, and the live music can be great, although it's been a little hit or miss for us. My one complaint is that the volume can get pretty loud, there's a difference between a lively atmosphere and not being able to hear the person sitting next to you. Food-wise, I've generally liked the appetizers more than the main dishes. The mixed drinks are also a highlight. Overall, it's a fun, easygoing place, especially when you're going with a group or bringing kids
