Deceptive practices. We had been a good customer with EnGedi for several years, They were very good at one time. However either management has changed or their business model has changed. On several occassions people were late with no phone calls causing problems for us. Pricing was stable and then they tried to raise the price without notification. We were able to hold them to the price they quoted us. We were also told the in between quarterly srayings that if we had a problem they would come back out at no charge and take care of any issue in between our times. Today I had them to come back out to remedy a problem which their previous which was in the first week of October and had to have them spray to take care of our problem, which if their product was used correctly we wouldn't have them back out in 6 weeks. So today were they not only late with no phone call to let us know they would be late, but then they charged us for the full price of a quarterly charge. We were told that they never had the situation were they would not charge us for problems in between qurterly sprayings. We had them out in the previous years to "fix" problems and were never charged before. We were told that we must have received a pass on those times. The truth is they do "NOT" communicate very well at all. BUYER BEWARE.....I DO NOT recommend them at all. read more

I called them because we thought we had another hornet nest in the ground by a tree. We have had one last year in August, and they came and did the whole treatment and killed it. The man checked the tree and he said there was nothing in the ground. He still sprayed the tree, but nothing compared to the gallons of liquid they put underground last time. Just a little spray outside the tree, and still charged me the same as if he had treated the hornet nest. I called the company to complain. I understand I had to pay a visit fee, but not the whole thing if he really didn't do what he was called for. The office manager said she would talk to the owners and call me back. She never called me back, and they cashed my check today. Careful with this company. Don't call them unless you know for certain what you have. They were also supposed to check my property for future spraying and treatment, and they didn't. I am kind of glad they actually didn't because I would not hire them after they did this to me. It's interesting how they rather lose a customer for being so money thirsty. The office manager told me that they had new owners, so there you have it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We hired them to do an inspection on our home and they lied about the home having active termites so that we would have to use them to treat the termite damage. Thank goodness my husband was smart enough to take pictures and inspect the area himself. Once they realized they were caught they were stumbling over their words and couldn't think of anything to say. This home was in the process of being sold and could have potentially scared away the buyers but I guess this is how businesses are trying to make their money these days. So sneaky and so disappointing. We will NEVER use them again! read more

Tony did two home inspections for us as we were going through escrow. He was kind, thorough and professional. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there. Each time they came out (only 3 times) trust was chipped away with conflicting information from each person. ("yes the yard is safe for your dog immediately after a spray", "no, it needs to sit 2 hours" etc) The last was the worst and finally did us in, he came out to check for bees that I kept finding in the garage. His response to me was " awe they're just mud daubers" with an edge of condescension. He went into the attic, came down and told me they had all hatched out and should be fine from there. He fogged the attic anyways on my request and was done. He spoke with confidence so I felt he probably knew more than my nagging gut. With research I found out the mud nests should be removed bc more dangerous bees sometimes move in. With observation, the wasp problem was still a big problem(5-15 in the garage per day). We called another company and a man came out, took one look and said, most of those are flies. He showed me the insect on the internet to confirm(bc I had been told it was a wasp). He went into the attic and informed me there were NO mud nests up there at all. He went around the whole house and knocked off any he found outside as well as paper nests. He suggested the old bag of dog food in the garage was where the flies were coming from. Sure enough, we moved the bag and there were these weird huge black worms. After the new company came out once, treated, and we disposed of the dog food; there are no new instances of anything flying in my garage. Trust is a big deal when you're paying a stranger to provide a service you aren't knowledgable enough to do yourself. I really liked Tony, so I wanted to keep trying new employees knowing that most of them are family, hoping one would have the integrity of the owner. They are GREAT. I've had two very successful yard treatments (gotta love the heights yard fleas -- what the hell, Houston?! I don't even have any pets! But I digress...) The tech who came out, Kyle, was awesome! He explained everything clearly, worked quickly and was just awesome and friendly. We had Tony come out and do a home termite inspection on our potential new home today and I am beyond impressed. He was very thorough, thoughtful and explained everything he inspected.
